2024 RTSports Outlook

Love proved he was worth the wait. He had a breakout season, his first as the starter for the Packers. Love was fifth overall in fantasy quarterback scoring, posting super consistent numbers all season. And he played his best football late, having at least two touchdowns in eight of his last nine games. Love had at least 20-plus fantasy points in 12 of 17 games. The scary part is that Love has room for improvement, finishing with a 17.5 percent bad throw percentage. This ranked as the sixth worst in football, so if he can cut that down some, his numbers should continue to improve. Love gives the Packers another franchise quarterback for years to come. Love has all the tools to be a top elite NFL starter. He is a big quarterback with a very strong arm. He can make all the throws. His accuracy isn't that of a top quarterback just yet, but it should continue to improve with seasoning. Love also uses his legs well, rushing for 247 yards last season. He does well in extending the play to make a big play.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Love is a legit No. 1 fantasy quarterback, capable of being a top-five fantasy quarterback. Last year wasn't a fluke. Expect him to continue to get better, so his fantasy numbers could get even better. Love can throw for around 4,300 yards and get around 40 total scores and 300 rushing yards.

RotoBaller's Outlook

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was a revelation in 2023. He started hot, stumbled towards the middle of the season, and finished the season with a stretch run that included 18 passing touchdowns and one interception in eight games. Overall, he threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions while rushing for 247 yards and four scores over 17 games. Those sound like Aaron Rodgers numbers. Love is a capable runner, but he will not blow you away with his legs. However, if Love can keep his rushing baseline of 247 yards and four touchdowns and continue to improve as a passer, he will be a very good fantasy starter. Let's remember that Love finished the season with the second most passing touchdowns in the NFL with 32. Love has all the weapons at his disposal to continue ascending. If Love plays like he did down the stretch last season for an entire season, this will be a quarterback you want on your fantasy roster. Love's current ADP of 54.83 pits him as the QB8 in fantasy drafts. RotoBaller is slightly lower on Love at QB11. Either way, Love will not be cheap to acquire, but he could realistically finish ahead of pocket passers such as Joe Burrow, Dak Prescott, and C.J. Stroud, who are currently being selected ahead of Love.

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that quarterback Jordan Love will play in this week's preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns. Love, who recently signed a four-year contract extension worth $220 million ($155 million in full guarantees), probably won't play more than a handful of offensive series against Cleveland. The former 26th overall pick in 2020 out of Utah State really impressed in his first full NFL season in 2023, throwing for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions and also leading Green Bay to an upset win on the road in the playoffs over the Dallas Cowboys. While Love's aerial weapons are young, there is plenty of potential for the 25-year-old signal-caller to build off last year's impressive campaign. He has quickly vaulted into low-end QB1 territory in fantasy.

Dynasty | The Packers have signed Jordan Love to a contract extension. Dynasty Analysis: Love signed a four-year, $220 million contract with a record $75 million signing bonus and $155 million guaranteed. His average annual salary matches Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow's as the highest in league history. The Packers had Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers for the better part of the last 30 years and hope their streak of stability sticks with Love. He was a question mark for a long time but his debut as the starter couldn't have gone much better as he posted 4,159 passing yards with 32 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions. Love is locked in as a QB1 for the foreseeable future and an easy choice to build a dynasty team around.

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that quarterback Jordan Love will be a full participant in the team's first padded practice at training camp. "He's been ramping up. It's just you guys haven't seen it. He's been throwing every day after practice, and he's had guys catching for him," LaFleur. Love has been with the team at training camp but had been sitting out practices before signing a four-year contract extension worth $220 million on Friday with $155 in full guarantees. The 25-year-old is now the highest-paid player in the NFL after impressing in his first full year in the league in 2023, when he threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 regular-season games. The big performance from Love has catapulted him to low-end QB1 status in fantasy for upcoming 2024 drafts.

The Green Bay Packers have officially decided to lock up quarterback Jordan Love long-term. Love and the Packers agreed to a new deal Friday evening, culminating in a four-year extension worth $220 million, including a $75 million signing bonus and $155 million guaranteed. The second-year starter will now be a part of the Packers for the foreseeable future, and his new deal puts him at the top of the list regarding annual average salary among quarterbacks. Despite playing just one season as a starter, the Packers saw enough from Love to warrant paying him a big bag of cash. He's the current QB8 in NFFC ADP (62nd overall). If Love has retained the gains that made him the fantasy QB6 in 2023, he'll provide a good bit of value at his current price and remains a target in every format for 2024.

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters on Friday that he did not have an update on quarterback Jordan Love's contract status. Love is not currently participating in practice as he awaits a contract extension. General manager Brian Gutekunst said earlier this week that he believes the two sides are close to reaching an agreement, and there's still plenty of time for a deal to be worked out before the regular season begins in September. Green Bay's preseason opener is on Aug. 10 against the hosting Cleveland Browns. The 25-year-old former first-round pick proved to be an instant success during his first full season as a starter for the Packers, throwing for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns with 11 interceptions while picking up four additional scores on the ground in 16 games in 2023. Love remains safe to draft as a low-end QB1 in the second half of fantasy drafts this summer.

Earlier in the week, it was reported that Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will not practice at training camp until he reaches an agreement on a new contract with the organization. According to NFL insider Dianna Russini, the two sides are getting close to reaching a deal. "Based on my conversations today, it's all making progress and heading there. Just not done at this time," Russini wrote on X. The 2020 first-round pick finally got a chance to start in 2023 following the departure of Aaron Rodgers, and he exceeded all expectations with 4,159 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. More importantly, he led Green Bay to a playoff victory over the No. 2 seed Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Wild Card round despite having one of the youngest offensive supporting casts in the NFL. Given the boom of the quarterback market, don't be surprised if Love signs a deal in the $50 million-salary range.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will not practice at training camp until he has a new deal, according to general manager Brian Gutekunst. Love's camp informed the Packers of his decision on Saturday. Gutekunst said that a deal could get done in the coming days, but that deals also take time. "I feel we're close," Gutekunst said. While Love won't practice until he has a new deal, this isn't a holdout, as he's in the building and will take part in meetings. Love's extension is expected to exceed $50 million per year after he excelled in his first full season as the starter in 2023 with 4,159 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 regular-season starts. The 25-year-old also led the Packers to a playoff upset win over the Dallas Cowboys on the road. Contract aside, Love heads into the 2024 campaign as RotoBaller's No. 11-ranked fantasy QB after his big 2023 season.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is still waiting for a new contract. In the meantime, the signal-caller took the opportunity to display his improved footwork during a training event on Thursday. Love's offseason throwing coach, Steve Calhoun, indicated that was an area that needed to be addressed during the offseason, considering he has had issues staying off his back foot during throws. Love had a rough start to the 2023-24 campaign. Yet, he turned things around to finish the year by throwing for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, adding four scores on the run. Without question, his fantasy stock is higher than ever, although it remains to be seen if the extra work this offseason will improve his accuracy.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is "optimistic" that he and the team will agree to an extension before training camp begins, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. Love noted that he expects talks to ramp up even more after this week's minicamp while Brian Gutekunst told 97.3 The Game, "We'd like to get this done before training camp, for sure." It certainly sounds like both sides have some urgency and would like to get a new contract done sooner rather than later. That way, Love's contract status won't be an issue as he enters his fifth pro season (but just his second as the Packers' starting quarterback). Coming off a big 2023 campaign, Love now ranks as a fringe QB1 option in most fantasy leagues.

The Green Bay Packers selected offensive tackle Jordan Morgan from Arizona with the 25th overall selection in the 2024 NFL draft. Morgan started all 37 games at left tackle. He could move to guard if necessary but does possess the skills to make a smooth transition. The Packers added former Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs to improve on their 1,905 total rushing yards last season. Adding Morgan will hopefully provide a boost to those numbers and protect Jordan Love's blind side.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is anticipated to earn a new contract. Not only that, his new deal is expected to make him one of the NFL's highest-paid signal-callers. Of course, there are details both sides need to work out, although more intense discussions may not come until after the 2024 NFL Draft. The 25-year-old had some rough showings during the 2023-24 campaign. However, he still ended the year by throwing for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Love also led the Packers to the playoffs, with the team losing to the 49ers by three points during the NFC Divisional Round. While Green Bay's offense will look somewhat different come Week 1, Love easily has a top-10 fantasy upside, and it's also possible he will enter the elite quarterback conversation soon, assuming he hasn't already.
