Melton was on the practice squad much of last season but got some chances with the Packers late in the season because of injury. Melton took advantage, finishing with 16 receptions for 218 yards and a touchdown in just five games, including a start. He even had a 100-yard showing in Week 17 and caught a touchdown pass during the playoffs. Melton is likely down on the depth chart this year, though, with so many quality options to compete with for targets in Green Bay. Melton is a good athlete and route runner. He lacks a little explosion, though, and can be pushed around in coverage a little.
FANTASY OUTLOOK: Melton is not worth a look unless injury hits in Green Bay. He will have a hard time getting consistent targets. He might get 15 catches for 200 yards and a score.
Bo Melton hopes to carry his impressive late-season performance that illustrated his rise from a seventh-rounder on practice squads into the 2024 season. Melton finally saw playing time in Green Bay in Week 15 of 2023 due to injuries and capitalized to finish the year strong. From Weeks 16 to 18, he recorded at least four receptions in each game, including a breakout performance in Week 17 with 105 yards and a touchdown. The Packers surely love the depth, but Melton is unlikely to crack the starting rotation as their fifth WR on the chart. While Christian Watson's durability issues are known, Dontayvion Wicks has earned the WR4 slot. So while Melton may not yet warrant a draft pick, he becomes a must-add if an avenue to starting with Jordan Love, a top-five fantasy QB last season, opens up. For now, his half-PPR RotoBaller rank and ADP of WR115 speak to the winding path toward fantasy relevance.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Bo Melton has impressed head coach Matt LaFleur during offseason workouts, with LaFleur praising Melton's speed, run-blocking abilities, consistency and work ethic. Melton's speed was referred to as an "elite trait" that helped him go from the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad in 2023, to the Packers' practice squad, to going over 100 yards rushing in a Week 17 win. The 25-year-old also received 39 offensive snaps, including a 19-yard touchdown reception, in two postseason games. Melton had 16 catches on 24 targets for 218 yards and one touchdown in five regular-season games for Green Bay, but for now he's a bit buried on the receiver depth chart behind Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Jayden Reed. He'll be left to the waiver wire in most fantasy drafts, but he's a name to watch if the Packers suffer an injury or two at the position in 2024.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Bo Melton caught his lone target for a 19-yard touchdown during the team's 21-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The 24-year-old snagged the touchdown in the early third quarter to put the Packers ahead 13-7. Melton came onto the roster over the final month of the regular season with the Packers dealing with wide receiver injuries and made an impact when he went over 100 yards receiving in Week 17 to become the first Green Bay receiver to do so in 2023. Melton then made the active roster permanently and served as a rotational option throughout the playoffs. With so many mouths to feed in Green Bay, Melton is not a player fantasy managers need to keep an eye on in the offseason. His name will pop back up as a waiver wire option if any of the starters go down with an injury.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Bo Melton caught five of seven targets for 62 yards and took two carries for 14 yards during the team's 17-9 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The 24-year-old was the hero of last week's win over the Minnesota Vikings, being the first Packers receiver to go for over 100 yards in a game this season, and was called up to the active roster as a result. With Christian Watson (hamstring) out and Romeo Doubs (chest) leaving the game early due to injury, Melton stepped up once again and put in a solid performance. Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks had better production, but Melton proved that he could be counted on in a starting role when needed. With Watson likely returning next week and the status of Doubs now up in the air, Melton has a chance to see significant snaps again when the Packers take on Dallas. He is a risky but cheap fantasy option in daily fantasy formats.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Bo Melton will take on the Chicago Bears in Week 18. The 24-year-old signed to the active roster on Wednesday this past week and will be a part of the final wide receiver corps heading into the season finale. It is a well-deserved promotion after Melton went for 105 yards and a score last week against Minnesota. However, his role this Sunday could be minimal. Christian Watson (hamstring) is looking to make his return to the field after being out since Week 14, while rookies Jayden Reed (chest) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) are also attempting to play after being tagged as questionable. If even two are active on Sunday, Melton's role will likely be nothing more than rotational against Chicago. Fantasy managers should avoid Melton unless all three receivers on the injury report are ruled out for Sunday's game.
From RotoBaller
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Bo Melton caught six of nine targets for 105 yards and a touchdown during the team's 33-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The second-year receiver was called up from the practice squad for the second week in a row with Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle) ruled out, and he delivered with the first 100-yard receiving performance by a Packer this season. Jayden Reed (chest) was on a tear, scoring twice before exiting in the second quarter. Melton's number was then called multiple times, scoring a nine-yard touchdown late in the third quarter and racking up over 50 yards in the final quarter. With Reed's status for Week 18 now up in the air and no timetable for Watson or Wicks to return, expect Melton to be called up once again against Chicago.
From RotoBaller
Packers' WR Bo Melton had 6 receptions for 105 yards with one touchdown in Sunday's win in Minnesota.
