2024 RTSports Outlook

Kincaid had an impressive rookie season, finishing 11th overall in fantasy tight end scoring. He had 73 receptions for 673 yards and two touchdowns. He had seven games with double-digit fantasy points. Kincaid didn't even open the season as the starter but eventually took over that role and showed he can be an elite tight end in this league. He could get even more targets this year with the Bills dealing Stefon Diggs and failing to re-sign Gabriel Davis this offseason. Kincaid is a top athlete that runs routes like a receiver and his speed causes plenty of mismatches in coverage. He can make the big play or just move the chains as a reliable target for Josh Allen. Kincaid is not much of a blocker for the position.

FANTASY OUTLOOK: Kincaid could really up his game this year, getting even more targets. We think he can be a top-five fantasy tight end, especially if he improves his touchdown totals just a little. Look for around 90 receptions for 900 yards and six touchdowns.

RotoBaller's Outlook

Generally speaking, rookie tight ends aren't great assets in redraft fantasy football leagues. That makes it even more impressive what Dalton Kincaid (and Sam LaPorta) accomplished in 2023. The rookie was definitively given the starting job when Dawson Knox suffered a wrist injury midway through the season. From Weeks 7 through 14, Kincaid secured at least five receptions in every matchup. The steady PPR floor propelled Kincaid to the TE9 in the stretch and a TE11 finish for the entire season. Kincaid finished second on the Bills in targets last season (91), trailing the now-departed Stefon Diggs. Gabe Davis also made his way out of Buffalo, opening 241 targets between the two wideouts. Rookie Keon Coleman hasn't proved anything yet and veteran Curtis Samuel doesn't profile as a top wide receiver. Given that Kincaid was a first-round draft pick and will be catching passes from Pro Bowl quarterback Josh Allen, his involvement won't decrease. Any statistical improvement will lead to another TE1 finish.

BuffaloBills.com's Chris Brown lists Buffalo Bills second-year tight end Dalton Kincaid as a breakout candidate in 2024 after finishing eighth among tight ends in his rookie season in receptions with 73. With receiver Stefon Diggs now gone -- Diggs was the only player in the passing game that had more targets than Kincaid in 2023 -- the opportunity is ripe for Kincaid to lead the team in that category this year. If he stays healthy, the former 25th overall pick could be a top-five fantasy tight end in just his second year in the league. In addition to his 73 receptions (on 91 targets), Kincaid had 673 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 16 regular-season games (11 starts) in 2023. Kincaid's combination of talent at a shallow position and the opportunity in Buffalo in 2024 will make him pretty attractive in all fantasy setups.

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid led his team with 45 receiving yards as they were beaten 27-24 by the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's Divisional Round, gathering each of his five targets. Kincaid held on for a tough 15-yard grab along the right sideline on Buffalo's opening possession for his longest pickup, and quarterback Josh Allen turned to him frequently late in the game as a chain-moving presence. There were plenty of ebbs and flows to Kincaid's rookie campaign, but it should be deemed a success overall. The 24-year-old first-rounder concluded his season with either five catches or 59 yards in each of his final four showings all told, bouncing back from a shaky string of play and establishing himself as one of Allen's new favorite weapons. Gabe Davis (knee) is an unrestricted free agent this spring, meaning Kincaid could enter 2024 as the Bills' No. 2 target behind Stefon Diggs and a top-12 option in summer drafts.

After experiencing a steady decline in productivity for nearly two months, Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid has worked his way back into fantasy TE1 talks for Sunday's Divisional Round versus the Kansas City Chiefs. Kincaid has recorded 233 yards and a touchdown in his latest three games, and the Bills have gotten him more involved downfield. Notching season highs in air yards in each of these three contests, Kincaid put his field-stretching aptitude on full display with a 29-yard catch-and-run up the seam in last Monday's wild-card triumph over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The first-round rookie will have his work cut out to hit paydirt again, since the Chiefs are tied for the third-fewest TDs allowed to enemy TEs (four) this year. With Gabe Davis (knee) still out due to a PCL sprain, Kincaid is in line to act as Buffalo's complementary passing option behind alpha target Stefon Diggs and is a fairly safe DFS play at a $4,600 cost on DraftKings.

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid stung the Pittsburgh Steelers with a team-leading 59 yards as his squad advanced to the second round in Monday's 31-17 wild-card triumph, also catching a touchdown. The first-round rookie caused problems all evening for a defense struggling to keep him in check, drawing a holding penalty in the fourth quarter. In relation to the box score, Kincaid made a tough 20-yard grab on Buffalo's first possession to kick-start a scoring drive that ended with Dawson Knox hitting paydirt. Kincaid then streaked up the seam for a 29-yard score after a Pittsburgh turnover, but the Steelers later broke up a goal-line pass at the last minute to deny what would have been Kincaid's second TD of the day. Racking up 76.7 yards per game over his last three contests, Kincaid would remain a popular DFS play next Sunday if No. 2 receiver Gabe Davis (knee) remains out for the Divisional matchup versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Buffalo Bills traded up to draft tight end Dalton Kincaid with the 25th overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, and they have to be pleased with the early returns. Though there were some bumps along the way, there was a lot to like out of Kincaid's rookie year, considering that early-career tight ends tend to struggle. Kincaid effectively settled in as Buffalo's power-slot weapon, which was part of what the team had envisioned for the Utah product. Kincaid collected 73 of his 91 passes for 673 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season, and he enters Monday's postseason debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers with 80-yard showings in each of his prior two outings. With No. 2 wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) out for this matchup, Kincaid could pick up some extra attention from quarterback Josh Allen. While Kincaid's $4,600 DraftKings cost isn't the most expensive, DFS players may be digging deeper into the bargain bin for salary relief.

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid notched his second consecutive 80-yard effort in Week 18's 21-14 victory over the Miami Dolphins as the team brought home the AFC East title, pulling in seven of his eight targets for 84 yards. Kincaid reprised his role as quarterback Josh Allen's safety net on Sunday, after the 2023 first-rounder recently appeared to be falling out of his signal-caller's favor. Kincaid did lose out on a short touchdown catch, watching Dawson Knox come down with the go-ahead score in the fourth quarter. Having now recorded 171 yards in his past two outings, however, Kincaid will roll into the postseason with quite a bit of momentum after Buffalo netted the No. 2 seed in the AFC with the victory. If Gabe Davis (knee) isn't ready to play by next Sunday's Wild Card tilt versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kincaid should be back in business as an attractive DFS option.

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid has put together an up-and-down, yet promising rookie season as a safety valve for quarterback Josh Allen by vacuuming up 66 catches on 83 targets (79.5% catch rate) for 589 yards and two touchdowns in 15 appearances. The story of Kincaid's campaign fantasy-wise has been centered around his productivity with and without Dawson Knox in Buffalo's lineup. In five games sans Knox between Weeks 8 and 12, Kincaid rose to the occasion as an every-week TE1 with 31 catches for 281 yards and two scores. But in 10 other contests with Knox in the mix, which will be the case for Week 18's regular-season finale versus the Miami Dolphins, Kincaid has recorded just 40 catches for 373 yards and one TD. The 24-year-old first-rounder put up a career-high 87 yards in Week 17's win over the New England Patriots, but he will remain a hit-or-miss fantasy option on the packed 16-game slate.

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid led the team with 87 receiving yards in Week 17's 27-21 win over the New England Patriots, hauling in four of his seven passes. Buffalo's defense dominated on Sunday, picking off quarterback Bailey Zappe three times and returning one to the house. It led to a run-heavy game plan for the Bills, which called for signal-caller Josh Allen to carry the ball on 11 of his 42 dropbacks. Kincaid enjoyed two major highlights on the day, streaking down the field for the longest catch of his career (51 yards) and passing Sammy Watkins for the franchise record for rookie catches (66) overall. Kincaid's fantasy prospects have mostly suffered with Dawson Knox in the lineup, but there's no doubting the promise that the 2023 first-rounder has demonstrated this year, considering the general trajectory of early-career TEs. Kincaid next plays in what could be high-scoring Week 18 environment with the Miami Dolphins.

Dynasty | Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid caught four passes for a career high 87 yards in a win against New England. Dynasty Analysis: Today was a good step forward into the off-season for Kincaid, who has been good this year but far from a difference maker in dynasty leagues. His 66/589/2 line was decent this year but far from what dynasty owners may have hoped for when using a back-end first rounder for him this off-season. Sam LaPorta proved to be the better asset though Kincaid will still have TE1/TE2 value this off-season. His progression will be a story to watch next year.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Dec 29 11:00pm CT

It seems like Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid's fantasy value has reached its expiration date leading into a matchup with the division-rival New England Patriots on Sunday. In three games since Dawson Knox was taken off injured reserve, Kincaid has a dreary 6/28/0 receiving line to his name with one catch for seven yards over the past two weeks. To make matters worse, Kincaid's rock-bottom point saw him post his lowest snap rate (45.3%) of the year during a Week 16 game that was competitive throughout. The main silver lining fantasy managers can take into Week 17 is that the 2023 first-rounder's eight-catch, 75-yard breakout came against the Patriots back in Week 7 and officially got him into the picture, which was a contest where Knox was in the lineup for his normal allotment of snaps. Kincaid's 81.2% catch rate over 72 targets implies a high floor, but he's devolved into a touchdown-dependent TE2 fantasy's final round.
