San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle will take on the Buccaneers in Tampa for the team's Week 10 contest on Sunday. In Week 8 against Dallas, Kittle had a week-winning game, catching six of seven targets for 128 yards and a touchdown. The book on Kittle in fantasy has been boom/bust for years, but in 2024 it's been all boom. After a six-point game in Week 1, Kittle has outperformed projections in each subsequent game. He is now averaging 15.2 half-PPR points per game, while the second-ranked TE Brock Bowers sits at 11.2 PPG. It remains to be seen what the effect of an active Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) will be on Kittle's target share, but even if he takes a slight hit, he'll remain an elite option at an otherwise frustrating position. The Bucs present an excellent opportunity to keep the good times rolling, having allowed the third-most TE fantasy points this year. Unsurprisingly, Kittle is projected as the overall TE1 coming into Week 10.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco's TE George Kittle had 6 receptions for 128 yards with one touchdown for an outstanding 21.3 yards per catch in Sunday's win against the Cowboys.
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle swept all three team receiving categories and caught his 500th career pass in a 30-24 home win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. He was a clear focal point of the offense and finished with six receptions on seven targets for 128 yards and a touchdown. Kittle has been immensely valuable for fantasy managers this year, as he was drafted as the TE6 by ADP, but has a huge lead over all others as the overall TE1 on a per-game basis. He's at 15.2 PPG in Yahoo default scoring while second place is occupied by Las Vegas' Brock Bowers at 10.8. Looking ahead, Kittle's value should remain stable with Brandon Aiyuk (knee) out for the season, even if Kittle loses a few targets when Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) returns. San Francisco has a Week 9 bye upcoming, followed by a Week 10 date at Tampa Bay.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle hauled in six of his seven targets for 128 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle has more than paid off at his ADP this summer. Week 8 has scored at least one touchdown in five of his last six outings and posted a 6-92-0 line in the one game he didn't. While his production figures to take a slight hit with the expected return of Christian McCaffrey following the team's Week 9 bye, Brandon Aiyuk's season-ending knee injury in Week 7 should be enough to keep Kittle near the top of the heap at his position in fantasy. Consider him a strong TE1 option yet again in Week 10 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (foot) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. The veteran has been battling a foot injury, keeping him off the practice field on Wednesday before returning for limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. Kittle has been a top fantasy tight end this season, amassing 34 catches (42 targets) for 375 yards and five touchdowns. While Kittle is always a must-start for fantasy managers, his potential for more involvement is higher due to the absences of Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Jauan Jennings (hip), and Christian McCaffrey (Achilles).
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) is expected to play in Week 8's game versus the Dallas Cowboys, according to a source.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle had been listed as questionable on the injury report after participating in two of the 49ers' three practice sessions during the week on a limited basis. When healthy, he should be viewed as a must-start option in all fantasy formats.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (foot) is expected to play against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8 despite being listed as questionable, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Kittle has remained dominant through six games this year, racking up 34 catches for 375 yards and five touchdowns. So far, he remains second among tight ends in fantasy points. Fantasy managers should continue to deploy him as a high-end TE1 in all leagues.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (foot) is officially questionable for the team's Week 8 home tilt against the Dallas Cowboys. Kittle was able to close out the week with two limited sessions after a DNP on Wednesday, suggesting he's more likely to play than not. It'd be excellent news for San Fran if the veteran could suit up, as wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (wrist, illness) has been deemed questionable, and teammate Jauan Jennings (hip) has been ruled out for the contest. If the Iowa product is active, he'd likely be in store for a large workload in a tantalizing matchup against the Cowboys. However, if he can't -- journeyman tight end Eric Saubert would slot in as the team's TE1. Fantasy managers will want to monitor his status over the weekend.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) was a limited participant in practice for the second consecutive day on Friday, Oct. 25, and is questionable for Week 8.
Fantasy Spin: A rock-solid TE1, Kittle appears to be a game-time decision going into the weekend, and making matters worse, the Niners play on Sunday night. Eric Saubert is the next man up at tight end on the depth chart, so he's the emergency option for fantasy owners who wait it out.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers DT Kevin Givens (groin), WR Jauan Jennings (hip) and PK Jake Moody (ankle) did not take part in practice on Friday, Oct. 25, and were ruled out for Week 8. Also, TE George Kittle (foot), CB Deommodore Lenoir (illness), S George Odum (knee) and WR Deebo Samuel (illness, wrist) were limited and are questionable and OT Trent Williams (rest), DE Nick Bosa (elbow), WR Chris Conley (ankle) and RB Jordan Mason (shoulder) practiced in full and were removed from the injury report.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 24.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle should be ready to play this week, but fantasy players can check on his official status over the next few days. He should see a good amount of targets if he plays and can be a starting option in fantasy leagues.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (foot) was limited in Thursday's practice session after he was listed as a non-participant in the first practice of the week on Wednesday due to a foot sprain. Kittle's status bears watching on Friday, but the fact that he returned to practice on Thursday means he's trending in the right direction to be available for San Fran on Sunday night against the visiting Dallas Cowboys. The 31-year-old five-time Pro Bowler heads into Week 8 as the No. 1 scoring tight end in fantasy, making him a must-start if he's active this weekend. Kittle's target volume should remain strong moving forward with receiver Brandon Aiyuk (knee) out for the season and with receiver Jauan Jennings (hip) trending toward missing a second straight game. Keep him locked into your starting lineups.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 23.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle is considered day-to-day, so fantasy players should know more about his status later in the week. He is a big part of the passing game when healthy and should be a starting option in all leagues if he plays.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. Kittle has a sprained foot and is considered day-to-day. Veterans with various ailments are often permitted a day off on Wednesdays so Kittle's practice participation will need to be monitored as the weekend approaches. With the 49ers nursing several injuries, they will need all hands on deck. Kittle has been awesome in 2024. He currently sits as the TE2 with 375 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Despite the 49ers' ups and downs this season, Kittle is still on his way to a monster season. The 49ers play the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8 in what should be a high-scoring affair. With so many weapons down for the 49ers, Kittle may literally be the last man standing. Presuming he is able to suit up this weekend, Kittle should be a smash start once again.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that tight end George Kittle (foot) is day-to-day due to a foot sprain that he picked up in the Week 7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Kittle broke a streak of four straight games with a touchdown but still had six receptions for a season-high 92 yards on Sunday. Receiver Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is out for the year with a torn right ACL and MCL, while receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (illness) is currently in the hospital with pneumonia. It means that the 31-year-old Kittle could be quarterback Brock Purdy's favorite target once again if he's able to play in Week 8 on Sunday night in a great matchup against a banged-up Dallas Cowboys defense. Fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on Kittle's practice status this week, but if he's able to play on Sunday in primetime, he'll be a must-start, high-end TE1.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle (foot) is considered day-to-day because of a sprained foot.
Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to monitor the situation during the week to see if Kittle will be able to play in Week 8. He likely will be one of the main targets in the passing game because of the injuries the team has at wide receiver and should be a starting option in all leagues if active.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle was the focal point of a struggling 49ers offense during a 28-18 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday at Levi's Stadium. Kittle grabbed six of seven targets for 92 yards -- the receptions and yards being game-highs. San Francisco had little choice but to lean on Kittle after falling to a 14-3 deficit, and seeing Deebo Samuel Sr. (illness) and Brandon Aiyuk (knee) head to the locker room. Kittle has now exceeded projections in five consecutive games, maintaining a stranglehold on the overall TE1 position in fantasy. If Aiyuk has suffered a serious injury as feared, fantasy managers can expect a similar target share for Kittle moving forward. Kittle will be a top play again on Sunday night when the 49ers host the Dallas Cowboys.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle ended up with six receptions for 92 yards on seven targets in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fantasy Spin: Kittle continues to be one of the top fantasy tight ends regardless of format. He'll look to keep up the good work in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys, and he could see even more targets with WR Brandon Aiyuk exiting with what is expected to be a season-ending knee injury.
From TheHuddle
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle enters a Week 7 home matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in the midst of one the hottest streaks of his career. Last week in a win versus Seattle he hauled in five of six targets for 58 yards and two touchdowns. He is now on a four-game touchdown streak and tied for the most receiving touchdowns in the league at any position, with five. Kansas City's pass defense in fantasy has been mediocre but has taken an interesting route to get there. The Chiefs have been the ninth-toughest on wide receivers, but have been taken to task by opposing tight ends. They have given up 14.3 TE points per game, good for league-worst, while the second-easiest team -- the Rams -- are averaging 11.3 in Yahoo default scoring, by far the biggest margin between any two consecutively-ranked teams in the NFL. Kittle will certainly be fired up to take on the Chiefs given San Francisco's loss in Super Bowl LVIII and is a no-doubt fantasy TE1.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle amplified his dominance at the fantasy tight end position during a 36-24 Thursday night victory in Seattle. The two-time First-team All-Pro caught five of six targets for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Kittle now has five touchdowns in his last four games and is averaging 14.5 points per game in Yahoo default scoring, while second place is held by Dallas Goedert and Brock Bowers at 10.5. That's the widest margin between two consecutively ranked players in the entire tight-end landscape. Kittle has had similar stretches during his career and he's always been streaky, so fantasy managers who have been propelled by Kittle to early winning records may consider selling high to win-desperate teams. Kittle and the Niners will face the Kansas City Chiefs at home in a Week 7 Super Bowl LVIII rematch.
