Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for Week 5 against the division-rival Denver Broncos on Sunday after missing practice all week. Adams injured his hamstring last week and also missed the Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns. His hamstring injury isn't considered too serious, but Adams is likely to sit out for the Raiders until he's traded, with him reportedly angling to be dealt to the New York Jets so that he can reunite with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Fantasy managers have to keep him benched and hope the Raiders can work out a trade to send him out of town sooner than later. With the 31-year-old out this week and likely not playing against for the Raiders, Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker and DJ Turner would start in three-receiver sets. Tucker is only rostered in 17% of Yahoo leagues. He has WR4/flex appeal in deeper leagues in Week 5.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 4, and has been ruled out for Week 5.

Fantasy Spin: It is not known how long Adams will be sidelined, so fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation. Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker probably will be the main receivers for the Raiders in Week 5 and could be possible flex options in deeper leagues.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 3.

Fantasy Spin: Adams is not expected to play in the Week 5 game, but fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation to see if anything changes. Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker will be the main receivers for the Raiders if Adams sits but are only possible flex option in deeper leagues.

Teams like the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs are all monitoring the situation with Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams and are more likely to get involved if the Raiders are willing to take on some of the money owed to Adams, according to sources. Adams is owed $13.5 million the rest of the 2024 season, which is why teams like the Chiefs aren't in all-out pursuit of the six-time Pro Bowler. A trade within the division of a player of Adams' caliber is unlikely to begin with, but this makes the Chiefs even more of a long shot for Adams, even though they may have lost top receiver Rashee Rice (knee) for the rest of the season. The 31-year-old Adams prefers to go to the New York Jets to reunite with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Adams didn't play in Week 4 and is unlikely to suit up in Week 5 against the Broncos, but his rest-of-season fantasy value figures to see a boost if he is traded out of Vegas.

Oct 3 2:10pm CT

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) did not practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday. Adams injured his hamstring last week and sat out of the Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns, but the main reason why he hasn't been practicing is because he wants out of Vegas. The veteran All-Pro wideout requested a trade earlier this week and prefers to be dealt to the New York Jets, where he can reunite with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Trade rumors have been swirling ever since it was reported that the Raiders were open to dealing Adams, with plenty of teams interested in the six-time Pro Bowler. Adams isn't expected to play in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos, but his fantasy value would see a boost if he were to move to New York. In Vegas, Tre Tucker has become a much more attractive waiver-wire pickup with a boost for the rest of the season if Adams is traded away, which is now expected to happen.

Oct 3 9:00am CT

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) would like to play for the Jets and be reunited with former teammate Aaron Rodgers, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. While Adams is open to other destinations, he would prefer to play for the Jets and team up with Rodgers after the duo formed a dynamic connection in Green Bay. Adams missed last week with a hamstring injury and did not practice on Wednesday. He has 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown so far this season. A move to the Jets would surely upgrade the fantasy value of the 31-year-old, as Rodgers and the Jets offense offer an upgrade over Gardner Minshew II and the Raiders' current offense. If Adams gets his wish, it looks like he will end up in New York, but there is still plenty to be worked out in a potential Adams deal.

Oct 3 8:53am CT

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams seems to have the Raiders ready to honor his trade request, and he will have input, but the team will ultimately go with the best offer. Adams prefers the New York Jets, but he hasn't demanded a trade to a specific team.

Fantasy Spin: Adams is expected to miss Week 5 with a hammy issue. Keep him stashed and stay tuned to where the WR1 might land.

From TheHuddle

Oct 2 11:20pm CT

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) has left an impression on teams that he's "focused on engineering a trade to the Jets," according to Albert Breer of the MMQB. However, the Raiders have also fielded calls from the Bills and Steelers. Adams, who recently requested a trade and is expected to miss Week 5 with a hamstring injury, has expressed significant interest in reuniting with Aaron Rodgers, his quarterback in Green Bay who now commands the Jets' offense. Through three games this season, Adams has 18 catches, 209 yards, and one touchdown. He would give New York (or any other team) a productive, veteran pass-catching reinforcement early in the season. From a fantasy perspective, there are few situations less favorable than playing with Gardner Minshew II. Joining forces with someone like Rodgers could bump Adams back up to the mid-range WR1 tier.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams (hamstring) is not expected to play in the Week 5 game because of his hamstring injury, according to sources.

Fantasy Spin: Adams is dealing with the injury and could be on the trade block as well, so he may be in a new uniform when he is cleared to play again. Fantasy players will need a backup plan ready while Adams is sidelined.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Fantasy Spin: Adams is dealing with and injury and may also be the subject of trade talks, so his availability for Week 5 is uncertain at this point. Fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation because Adams is a starting fantasy option when healthy.

Oct 2 5:40pm CT

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) is not expected to play in Week 5 this Sunday on the road against the division-rival Denver Broncos, according to league sources. Not only has Adams told the organization that he wants to be traded, but he's considered week-to-week after injuring his hamstring in practice last week and missing the Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns. The 31-year-old missed another practice on Wednesday and may not play again for the Raiders until he traded. The problem with that for fantasy managers is that the trade deadline isn't until early November. The six-time Pro Bowler is a must-start in fantasy lineups when he's on the field, and a trade out of Vegas should eventually improve his fantasy value. Moving forward, all of Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, DJ Turner and rookie tight end Brock Bowers will receive a boost with Adams' tenure in Vegas likely coming to an end soon.

Oct 2 5:30pm CT

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) did not take part in the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday. Adams suffered a hamstring injury in practice last week, missed the Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns, and is considered week-to-week. In addition to his injury, Adams has told the Raiders he wants to be traded, making it likely that he'll miss a second straight game for Vegas this weekend versus the division-rival Denver Broncos. The 31-year-old six-time Pro Bowler unsurprisingly is drawing plenty of interest around the league, but no trade is currently imminent. With Adams likely out again in Week 5, expect Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker and DJ Turner to work as the top three wideouts for quarterback Gardner Minshew II for the second straight week. A trade out of Vegas should boost Adams' fantasy value the rest of the way, but in the meantime, he might be on benches for a bit.

Oct 2 2:33pm CT

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams sees the New York Jets as one of his preferred destinations if he traded because of his familiarity with QB Aaron Rodgers, according to sources.

Fantasy Spin: Adams was linked to the Jets during the offseason, so this could be a possibility before the trade deadline. He would still see plenty of targets if he joined the Jets and would still be a starting option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Oct 2 2:33pm CT

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams sees the New Orleans Saints as one of his preferred destinations if he traded because of his familiarity with QB Derek Carr, according to sources.

Fantasy Spin: The Saints probably are a longshot for Adams because they do not have much salary cap space available, but fantasy players can keep an eye on the situation. He has shown a good connection in the past with Carr and could be a starting option in all leagues if he moved to the Saints.

From TheHuddle

Oct 2 1:30pm CT

Earlier this week, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams let the organization know that he would prefer to be traded. The team is out to a 2-2 start and Adams is reportedly working through a hamstring issue, but it appears his time in the Sin City could be coming to an end. Many have speculated that he could be eyeing a reunion with Aaron Rodgers with the New York Jets, but according to sources, the New Orleans Saints are also a preferred destination. The six-time Pro Bowler notably wanted to be traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Raiders in 2022 to play with his former college teammate Derek Carr, so he might have the chance to rejoin Carr with New Orleans. If he is eventually traded to New Orleans, wideouts Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed would likely take significant hits to their rest-of-season fantasy football outlooks. Needless to say, this is a situation worth keeping a close eye on.

From RotoBaller

Oct 2 1:03pm CT

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams (hamstring) was not spotted at practice on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Fantasy Spin: Adams has reportedly requested a trade, which almost certainly means he won't play this week, even if he's healthy enough to do so. And, even if he gets traded immediately, he's unlikely to suit up for his new team right away. With Adams out of the picture, Jakobi Meyers and Brock Bowers stand to get more looks, and Tre Tucker becomes a flex option in deeper formats.

From TheHuddle

Oct 2 10:13am CT

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams is not expected to draw trade interest from the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Spin: Adams has an 18-209-1 line through three games and has been dealing with a hamstring injury. He's a low-end WR1 wherever he plays.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have discussed preliminary interest in a trade for Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams according to Josina Anderson. Meanwhile, Adam Schefter reports that the Chiefs are not one of the teams interested in a potential trade for the star receiver. The Steelers are among the growing teams interested in a trade for Adams while the Chiefs are not likely to pursue Adams. Adams has requested a trade out of Las Vegas as soon as possible. Schefter also mentions that Adams has an interest in the Jets and Saints as a potential destination. This is a situation to continue to monitor for fantasy implications with a potential move to the Steelers slating Adams opposite George Pickens as a weapon for Justin Fields. Adams missed last week's game with a hamstring injury and has 18 catches for 209 yards and one touchdown in three games this season. Fantasy managers will want this situation resolved as quickly as possible.

Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams is drawing trade interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fantasy Spin: Adams is the WR36 in PPR leagues and would certainly benefit with a change of scenery.

From TheHuddle

Oct 2 8:50am CT

The New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys have checked in on Las Vegas wide receiver Davante Adams' trade situation according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini. Adams reportedly wants out of Las Vegas as soon as possible. Russini notes that many teams have checked in on the talented receiver, so the Raiders will be patient in ensuring their asking price is met before dealing Adams. The Fresno State product missed last week's game with a hamstring injury and has 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown in three games this season. Fantasy managers of Adams will hope for a trade as quickly as possible to resolve a messy situation in Las Vegas. A trade to the Jets would mean a reunion with his former quarterback Aaron Rodgers who he teamed up with in Green Bay. A move to Dallas would slot him opposite CeeDee Lamb and provide another target for Dak Prescott.
