Oct 5 6:03pm CT

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) fully practiced Saturday, Oct. 5, and did not receive an injury tag for Week 5.

Fantasy Spin: Kamara might be given a breather more frequently this week, but he remains a rock-solid RB2 play, especially in PPR scoring formats.

From TheHuddle

Oct 5 4:23pm CT

New Orleans Saints LB Willie Gay Jr. (hand), TE Taysom Hill (rib), OG Cesar Ruiz (knee), DE Payton Turner (knee), and OL Shane Lemieux (ankle) did not practice Saturday, Oct. 5, and were ruled out for Week 5. PK Blake Grupe (hip), LB Demario Davis (hamstring), RB Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs), TE Juwan Johnson (forearm), DT Bryan Bresee (ankle), RB Kendre Miller (hamstring), and WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. (ankle) fully practiced, and OT Taliese Fuaga (back, knee) was limited. They all carry no injury tag. OL Lucas Patrick (groin) did not practice, and LB Pete Werner (hamstring) was limited; both are questionable.

From TheHuddle

Oct 5 3:10pm CT

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) practiced in full on Saturday and doesn't carry an injury designation heading into Monday night's meeting with the Chiefs. Kamara is battling multiple ailments. However, the 29-year-old will likely continue to play through the pain barring any setbacks. He looked great in the Saints' first four contests, amassing 362 yards and five touchdowns off 80 carries, adding 17 catches for 174 yards and a touchdown. He's a must-start despite a challenging matchup with a Chiefs defense that has allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs in 2024-25. His presence versus Kansas City will mean fewer snaps for Jamaal Williams, who would have been in line for more work.

Oct 4 6:23pm CT

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 4.

Fantasy Spin: Kamara appears to have a good chance to play in the Week 5 game, but fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation over the next few days. He is a must-start option in all leagues if he is active.

From TheHuddle

Oct 4 6:20pm CT

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) was limited in practice for the second straight day this week on Friday. Fellow RB Kendre Miller (hamstring) was upgraded to full-go in practice after being limited on Wednesday. Kamara was listed with the same injuries last week before suiting up and touching the ball 26 times for 119 scrimmage yards and a touchdown in the Week 4 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The 29-year-old will most likely be cleared on Saturday to play on Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs. Kamara should continue to have high volume in the Saints' backfield, especially with Taysom Hill (ribs) looking doubtful to play after fracturing his ribs last weekend. Through four weeks in 2024, Kamara is the RB1 in fantasy in half-PPR scoring with 362 rushing yards and five touchdowns, adding 17 catches for 174 yards and another TD. He's a must-start against KC.

From RotoBaller

Oct 3 5:10pm CT

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) remains on the injury report for Week 5 and put in a limited practice on Thursday. Kamara was also limited before the Week 4 contest against the Atlanta Falcons but ended up playing and saw 26 touches for 119 scrimmage yards and a rushing touchdown. Unless he's downgraded at practice in the next few days, Kamara should be just fine to face the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football to close out Week 5 action. The 29-year-old has exceeded expectations through the first four weeks in the Saints' new offense and has been the RB1 in half-PPR scoring with 80 carries for 362 yards and five touchdowns, adding 17 receptions for 174 yards and another score. As long as he doesn't have a setback with his injuries later this week, Kamara should remain locked into lineups as a must-start.

From RotoBaller

Oct 3 4:23pm CT

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) was limited at practice on Thursday, Oct. 3.

Fantasy Spin: This is actually a better start to the week than Kamara had in Week 4 when he was a non-participant in the first session, so there's no concern for him yet. Kamara remains an elite RB1 entering Week 5.

Oct 3 4:13pm CT

New Orleans Saints LB Willie Gay Jr. (hand), TE Taysom Hill (rib), OG Cesar Ruiz (knee), OG Shane Lemieux (ankle), DE Payton Turner (knee) and PK Blake Grupe (hip) did not practice on Thursday, Oct. 3. Perry (hamstring), TE Juwan Johnson (forearm), DT Bryan Bresee (ankle), RB Kendre Miller (hamstring) and LB Demario Davis (hamstring) were limited and WR Chris Olave (hamstring) and WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. (ankle) practiced in full.

Sep 29 4:30pm CT

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (ribs) finished Sunday's loss to the Falcons by totaling 77 yards and a touchdown off 19 carries. He added seven catches for 42 yards. The veteran had an injury designation heading into the contest, so his status for Week 4 was a cause of concern for fantasy managers. Interestingly enough, Kamara revealed he played with broken ribs, although not getting on the field versus the Falcons "was never a consideration." He has been one of the top fantasy backs during the 2024-25 campaign so far. However, fantasy managers should consider adding Jamaal Williams and Taysom Hill (where available) in case Kamara's condition takes a turn in the wrong direction ahead of the Week 5 matchup in Kansas City.

From RotoBaller

Sep 29 3:23pm CT

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara rushed 19 times for 77 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons, while adding seven receptions for 42 yards on nine targets.

Fantasy Spin: The 29-year-old has totaled 110 or more total scrimmage yards in each of his first four games, while totaling six scores (five rushing, one receiving). He has returned to RB1 fantasy status in all leagues this season. He'll look to keep up the good work in Week 5 at Kansas City on Monday night.

From TheHuddle

Sep 29 10:53am CT

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) is officially active for the Week 4 game.

Fantasy Spin: Kamara should continue to be a significant part of the Saints offense this week and is a must-start option in all fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 29 8:23am CT

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) is expected to play in Week 4's game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Kamara had been listed as questionable on the injury report after participating in two of the team's three practice sessions during the week on a limited basis. When healthy, he should be viewed as a must-start option in all fantasy formats.

From TheHuddle

Sep 28 11:50pm CT

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (hip, rib) "is planning to play" in Week 4 versus Atlanta. The 29-year-old didn't practice on Wednesday before logging limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. However, it appears he'll be good to go on Sunday. Kamara has had an excellent 2024-25 campaign thus far, totaling five touchdowns. As such, he's a must-start in all fantasy formats despite a challenging matchup on the horizon.

From RotoBaller

Sep 27 5:40pm CT

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) is officially listed as questionable to play in Week 4 against the division-rival Atlanta Falcons. Kamara started out the week with a DNP on Wednesday before he was limited in practice on both Thursday and Friday. The fact that the 29-year-old got in two straight days of practice puts him on the right side of questionable leading into Sunday's divisional clash, but fantasy managers will still want to check the Sunday morning inactives list to be sure. If Kamara is out or limited at all, it will mean more work for backup Jamaal Williams. Kamara, who has been a big part of the Saints' offense through three weeks, could see even more work through the air if he suits up and receiver Chris Olave (hamstring). Tight end Taysom Hill is another option for backfield work if Kamara is inactive this week. If active, Kamara needs to be started in all fantasy lineups as a clear-cut RB1.

From RotoBaller

Sep 27 3:43pm CT

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) was limited at practice for the second straight day on Friday, Sept. 27, and is listed as questionable for Week 4.

Fantasy Spin: Kamara was able to log two limited practices after sitting out to start the week, but the lack of a full session means his status is truly up in the air. He's a locked-in RB1 if he suits up, but if not, Jamaal Williams is the next man up and becomes a flex option. Taysom Hill, who carries no designation after sitting out last week, would also be in line for more work on the ground, elevating him to slightly more than a boom-or-bust TE2.

From TheHuddle

Sep 27 3:33pm CT

New Orleans Saints LB Demario Davis (hamstring), OG Cesar Ruiz (knee) and WR A.T. Perry (hamstring) did not practice on Friday, Sept. 27, and have been ruled out for Week 4. Also, WR Cedrick Wilson (ankle) did not practice and is questionable, WR Chris Olave (hamstring) and RB Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) were limited and are questionable and QB Derek Carr (groin), TE Taysom Hill (chest), LB D'Marco Jackson (calf), DT Khalen Saunders (calf), OT Landon Young (foot) and CB Alontae Taylor (illness) practiced in full and carry no designation.

From TheHuddle

Sep 27 1:40pm CT

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) was able to get on the practice field for Friday's session. This is good news after Kamara sat out of Wednesday's practice, but has been involved each of the last two days. The fact that Kamara has practiced two days in a row should mean that he'll be fine for the Week 4 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. Unless he suffers a setback, Kamara should be a must-start fantasy option for this Week 4 contest. He has 285 rushing yards and four touchdowns through the first three games of the season.

Sep 26 3:23pm CT

New Orleans Saints LB Demario Davis (hamstring), OG Cesar Ruiz (knee), and WR A.T. Perry (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday, Sept. 26. Also, LB D'Marco Jackson (calf), DT Khalen Saunders (calf), RB Alvin Kamara (hips, ribs) and WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. (ankle) were limited and QB Derek Carr (groin), TE Taysom Hill (chest), OT Landon Young (foot) and CB Alontae Taylor (illness) practiced in full.

From TheHuddle

Sep 26 3:23pm CT

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara (hip, ribs) was limited in practice on Thursday, Sept. 26, after not participating the day before.

Fantasy Spin: Kamara's upgrade in participation is a great sign for his chances of playing in Week 4. He's a locked-in RB1.

From TheHuddle

Sep 26 2:00pm CT

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (hip/ribs) is back at practice on Thursday following a Wednesday absence due to a hip and rib injury. While the veteran could be dealing with a notable injury, the team may be simply being cautious with him since he's the current NFL leader in total touches (71). Hopefully, Kamara does not suffer any setbacks and will be good to go for Sunday's NFC South clash against the Atlanta Falcons. He is currently the No. 2 scorer among running backs in half PPR leagues, so if he's active, he's a must-start in all matchups. If he surprisingly can't play in Week 4, Jamaal Williams would likely see close to a workhorse role and would become a flex consideration.
