Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) is not a candidate to be placed on the Reserve/Injured list, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Fantasy Spin: Engram has already been ruled out for Week 4's contest against the Houston Texans, marking the third consecutive game where he will be sidelined due to an injured hamstring. Since injured reserve stints are not retroactive, Engram would be ineligible to resume playing before Week 8 if he had been placed on IR today. Pederson believes that he could return to action as soon as Week 5 versus the Indianapolis Colts.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) and LB Foyesade Oluokun (foot) did not practice all week and have been ruled out for Week 4 against the Houston Texans. S Darnell Savage (quad), WR Gabe Davis (shoulder) and CB Jarrian Jones (shoulder) were limited in practice all week and are listed as questionable. DE Arik Armstead (rest) did not practice on Friday, Sept. 27, but is expected to play. RB Tank Bigsby (shoulder) and LB Devin Lloyd (knee) were limited in practice on Friday but no longer appear on the injury report. OT Cam Robinson (knee), OL Anton Harrison (knee) and CB Montaric Brown (chest) practiced in full on Friday and have also been removed from the injury report.

Sep 27 3:23pm CT

Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 27, and has been ruled out for Week 4.

Fantasy Spin: Fantasy players will need to keep an eye on the situation to see when Engram will be able to return to practice. Brenton Strange likely will start for the Jaguars but can be avoided in fantasy leagues.

Sep 27 11:20am CT

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) is considered doubtful for Sunday's game, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Engram injured his hamstring during warmups prior to their Week 2 matchup and has been sidelined since. The 30-year-old has not logged a practice yet this week which is not a promising sign for his status this weekend. Fantasy managers should closely monitor Friday's injury report as it should provide clarity on his status heading into the weekend. Engram caught a career-high 114 receptions last season and remains a safe TE1 when he is on the field. If Engram misses his third-straight game on Sunday, fantasy managers should expect Brenton Strange to get the starting nod again. Strange has seen at least five targets in each of the past two games and could be a viable replacement option in deeper formats.

Sep 27 10:23am CT

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) is unlikely to play in the Week 4 game against the Houston Texans, head coach Doug Pederson said Friday, Sept. 27.

Fantasy Spin: Pederson did state that there is hope Engram returns for Week 5, but managers will need to find another pivot option.

From TheHuddle

Sep 26 8:20pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) remained absent from Thursday's practice. Ugh, this is not a good sign heading into this weekend's games. Engram has now missed back-to-back practices this week and hasn't played since Week 1. There's a chance that Engram practices on Friday and does end up playing against the Houston Texans. If not, Brenton Strange will be in line for a larger workload. He hauled in two receptions for 12 yards and a touchdown last week. He has recorded 77 yards over the last two games, but remains more of a deep league option.

Sep 26 4:03pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 26.

Fantasy Spin: It is looking like Engram will miss another game but has not been ruled out yet. Fantasy players should look for other options this week and can keep Engram on the bench.

From TheHuddle

Sep 25 7:40pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) missed the first practice of the week on Wednesday. Engram injured his hamstring during pre-game warmups in the Week 2 loss to the Cleveland Browns and also missed the Monday night beatdown at the hands of the Buffalo Bills in Week 3. He is going to need to get back on the practice field in some fashion over the next couple of days to at least give himself a chance to suit up this Sunday versus the division-rival Houston Texans as the Jags seek their first win of the season. With Engram out the last two games, Brenton Strange has caught five of his 11 targets for 77 yards and one touchdown, putting him on the map as a TE2 streamer for fantasy managers if Engram misses a third straight game in Week 4. Engram caught just one pass for five yards in Week 1, so he's been a disappointment so far in 2024.

Sep 25 5:53pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Sept. 25.

Fantasy Spin: Engram has missed the last two games because of the injury, and his status for Week 4 is uncertain at this time. Fantasy players should keep an eye on the situation because Engram is a starting fantasy option when healthy.

From TheHuddle

Sep 24 4:33pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) is in question to play against the Houston Texans in Week 4, head coach Doug Pederson told reporters Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Spin: Considering the short week, there's a good chance managers will need to find a pivot option for Engram again.

From TheHuddle

Sep 24 1:40pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) has missed each of the last two games after suffering a hamstring injury during pregame warmups in Week 2. He was initially deemed week-to-week by head coach Doug Pederson, and with a short week coming up following the Monday Night Football loss to the Buffalo Bills, his status remains unclear. Backup tight end Brenton Strange caught two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown in Week 3. Jacksonville is looking to get into the win column on Sunday, but that will be a tough task on the road against the Houston Texans. Houston has allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends thus far, so Strange is likely not worth starting if Engram is out. If Engram can play, he'll have a high-end TE2 or low-end TE1 outlook. Fantasy managers should monitor Engram's practice participation when the Jaguars release the first injury report of the week on Wednesday.

Sep 23 5:13pm CT

The Jacksonville Jaguars have declared OG Cole Van Lanen, S Darnell Savage, OT Javon Foster, LB Myles Cole, DT Jordan Jefferson, DE Esezi Otomewo and TE Evan Engram inactive for Week 3.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) did not practice on Saturday, Sept. 21, and was ruled out for Week 3. Also, RB Tank Bigsby (shoulder), DB Darnell Savage (quadriceps) and WR Tim X. Jones were limited and are questionable, OT Cam Robinson (knee) was a full participant and has no designation, and DE Arik Armstead (rest) did not practice but carries no designation.

From TheHuddle

Sep 21 3:53pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) did not practice once again on Saturday, Sept. 21, and has been ruled out for Week 3.

Fantasy Spin: No surprise here, as head coach Doug Pederson said earlier in the day that Engram wasn't expected to play. Engram's absence offers a slight bump to the Jags' top pass-catchers but Jacksonville doesn't have a viable starting option at tight end behind him.

From TheHuddle

Sep 21 11:03am CT

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) is not expected to play in Week 3's game versus the Buffalo Bills, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Fantasy Spin: Engram had been held out of the team's first two practice sessions of this week after not playing at all last week. TE Brenton Strange, who had three catches for 65 yards on six targets against the Browns in Week 2, would likely get the starting nod if Engram doesn't suit up but can probably be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

From TheHuddle

Sep 21 10:10am CT

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) won't play on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills. The 30-year-old hasn't practiced all week after injuring his hamstring ahead of the Week 2 clash with the Browns, although the Jags are hopeful he will return for the team's next contest against the Houston Texans. As a result, Brenton Strange will likely fill the void in the lineup, with the 23-year-old coming off a three-catch, 65-yard outing versus Cleveland. However, that type of production won't be enough to earn Strange a spot in most fantasy lineups. The same can be said for Luke Farrell, the No. 3 tight end on the depth chart, who had two grabs for 12 yards in Week 2.

From RotoBaller

Sep 20 6:00pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) missed a second straight practice this week on Friday and appears to be trending toward missing a second straight game in Week 3 on Monday night against the Buffalo Bills. Engram injured his hamstring during pre-game warmups before the Week 2 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He will likely need to return to practice on Saturday to avoid being ruled out on the final injury report of the week. As of right now, fantasy managers should plan to be without the 30-year-old veteran. With Engram out last Sunday, Brenton Strange stepped up as the top pass-catching TE and played 68% of the offensive snaps, catching three of his six targets for 65 yards. The Bills defense has been vulnerable so far through two games to the TE position, but Strange will still be only a TE2 sleeper for fantasy lineups if Engram misses a second straight game.

From RotoBaller

Sep 20 3:33pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) did not practice once again on Friday, Sept. 20.

Fantasy Spin: Engram got injured during pregame warm ups last week and did not suit up. He appears to be trending toward not playing once again in Week 3. After ranking as TE2 overall in 2023, Engram must be in lineups if he plays.

From TheHuddle

Sep 20 3:23pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) did not practice on Friday, Sept. 20. Also, RB Tank Bigsby (shoulder), S Darnell Savage (quadriceps) and OL Cam Robinson (knee) were limited.

From TheHuddle

Sep 19 3:33pm CT

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Evan Engram (hamstring) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 19.

Fantasy Spin: Engram suffered the injury during pregame warmups last week and could miss another game if he does not practice at some point this week. He is a risky option since the Jaguars play on Monday Night Football, so fantasy players may want to consider another option and keep Engram on the bench for Week 3.
