I. OBJECT Head-to-Head format in a 14-week regular season based upon WIN-LOSS record with DIVISION champions and 3 WILD CARD teams advancing to the Play-Offs which run from Week #15 through Week #17.
As an owner in this league, we ask only that you provide a level of integrity in all you do…..
1. Integrity to follow and obey the rules and by-laws of the league.
2. Integrity to play out every season, no matter how well your team is doing.
3. Integrity to never do anything to harm the league or it's owners.
II.ROSTERS
THE DRAFT PROCESS: The draft consists of 18 rounds and teams must fill the following positions:
2-QUARTERBACKS 3-RUNNING BACKS 4-WIDE RECEIVERS 1-TIGHT ENDS 1-PLACEKICKERS 1-TEAM DEFENSES 6-extra players at any position:
If you fail to select fill a position at the end of the draft, the last player you selected at postion already filled will be returned to the Player Pool until the first WAIVER WIRE.
Once the season starts, there are NO minimum or maximum number of players per position.
There are an additional 2 INJURED RESERVE spots on your roster where you may place an injured player and pick up a replacement.
THE DRAFT ORDER: The draft order is determined by the results of the bowl games from the season before.
LINEUPS
Each team has the option of submitting ONE of TWO lineups each week:
THE POWER-I:
1-QUARTERBACK
2-RUNNING BACKS
3-WIDE RECEIVERS
1-TIGHT END
1-PLACEKICKER
1-TEAM DEFENSE
1-WILD CARD* (Extra player at any position or Defense)
THE SHOTGUN:
1-QUARTERBACK
1-RUNNING BACK
4-WIDE RECEIVERS
1-TIGHT END
1-PLACEKICKER
1-TEAM DEFENSE
1-WILD CARD* (Extra player at any position or Defense)
*with the WILD CARD, you may use either 2-QB, or 3-RB, or 4-REC, or 2-TE, or 2-PK, or 2-DEF in the POWER-I set
*with the WILD CARD, you may use either 2-QB, or 2-RB, or 5-REC, or 2-TE, or 2-PK, or 2-DEF in the SHOTGUN set
ILLEGAL LINEUPS
If an illegal lineup is submitted, zero points replaces the points scored by the leading scorer for one of the positions involved
LINEUP DEADLINE: you can set your lineup up until GAMETIME for each player. Once the game begins, players are frozen and may not be added or removed. However, you may change a player's status if for example, he doesn't play until MONDAY NIGHT and SUNDAY's games are already in progress if you have another player who's team hasn't started their game.
FINAL SCORE
The final score of EVERY game, both regular season and playoffs, WILL BE THE SCORE LISTED ON THE LEAGUE SITE AT THE END OF OUR SCORING PERIOD FOR THE WEEK. Thus, the score shown Tuesday morning each week, ( Monday during playoffs ), is the final score for that game. Reason for this rule, is that some games during the season have adjusted scores after the NFL looks at each games controversial plays. Whether an extra sack is awarded to a Defense or more yardage is added to a QB, RB, WR, etc. totals, those adjustments will not effect the score if they are adjusted after the end of each weeks scoring period.
IV. TRANSACTIONS
There are TWO Free Agent signing periods each week and are listed in the site RULES. The first period is the WAIVER WIRE and the second period is listed as TRANSACTIONS.
THE WAIVER WIRE:
This period begins Wednesday at 11:59 PM ET
The site will award FREE AGENTS in order of worst-to-first order by Total Points. You may submit as many Free Agent bids as you wish but you should list them in priority order. This site will determine the order and award the bids.,
TRANSACTIONS PERIOD:
This period starts Thursday @ 8AM ET and runs up to SUNDAY @ 1:00 ET (note: you may not sign players from teams that played prior to Sunday of that week) During this period, FREE AGENTS may be signed on a first come-first serve basis and as many as you wish.
You must DROP a player (or place on I.R. - see section V.) to pick up a FREE AGENT or following a TRADE where there is an unequal exchange of players. The number of players on a roster may NOT exceed 18 (20 with I.R.)
The first TRANSACTION period will begin following Week #1 of the season.
PRE-SEASON TRANSACTIONS:
We will open the pre-season First-Come-First Serve add/drops just prior to Opening Night to accommodate teams able to replace players that qualify for IR. Teams can only pick up Free Agents for players placed on IR. No drops are allowed. The weekly Waiver Wire followed by the usual open free agent signings begin after Week #1 is completed
Prior to that, teams can replace players that are deemed out-for-the-season but the replaced player must be dropped. Placing a player on IR before Wednesday is not allowed. Contact the commissioners to make that transaction since you will not be able to do that yourself
You may not make any transactions once your season has completed. Your roster will remain frozen until the following season.
TRADES:
No trades will be allowed between the time our season ends to June 1st.
Teams are free to make their own trades but are subject to Commiesioner approval. The Trade deadline is Thursday Night of each week so that I have time to review them. For weeks of Thursday games, if the site allows it, you may still trade players that are not involved.
For trading future Draft Picks:
You may only trade future picks for rounds 4-18
If trading a Draft Pick, a player must be included.
No team can trade more than FOUR draft slots within a season. In addition, No team will be allowed to make more thanTwo trades involving draft slots without receiving a draft slot in return.
If you trade a Draft Pick, you will have a Supplemental (19th) round pick in the following year's Draft and No Supplemental selection may be a Keeper. They will have a $0 salary and return to the following season's player pool like the 1st 4 picks.
If you have a Keeper that inherits the Draft round that you traded, you have to take a BYE in the next lowest round available. (e.g. player with $8 salary and traded 4th round pick, bye will be in round 3)
The same two teams cannot combine for more than TWO separate trades from June 1st to the end of our season.
Draft picks can only be traded one year in advance. Example: if it is 2025, you can only trade draft picks in the 2026 draft. No other seasons.
V. ANTI-DUMPING CLAUSE
We have no rules governing trades. We simply ask that ALL owners keep the integrity of the league when making a trade. We also ask that when you do trade, you spread the wealth around. That is, try not to trade all your players to one team. That creates an unfair advantage. Spread the wealth around. Trade with more than one team. Please keep in mind that ALL trades are reviewed by the Commissioner.
VI. INJURED RESERVE
You have TWO spots on your roster where you may place a player on INJURED RESERVE (I.R.)
Once the Injured player returns to ACTIVE status with his NFL team or plays in his teams next game you must either drop a player from your roster or place another on Injured Reserve on Tuesday of the following week to make those players released available for the Waiver Wire. If a player on the IR plays and gets hurt again, he must be listed as OUT and he can remain on the IR. If he appears to be severly hurt but is not yet listed as OUT, he can remain on the IR but cannot be activated that week.
You don't have to drop the player you picked up to replace the player placed on I.R. when he returns to active status.
A player MUST actually be hurt or listed as at least QUESTIONABLE to be eligible for the I.R.
VII. POST-SEASON FORMAT
Note: In all post-season games that end in TIES - the HIGHER SEEDED team WINS
The 2 DIVISION CHAMPIONS with the best record receive FIRST-ROUND BYES in Week #15. The 3rd DIVISION CHAMPION plays the lowest-seeded WILD CARD...the 2 WILD CARDS with the best records play each other as the #4 and #5 seeds.
The SEMI-FINAL round (Week #16) will pit the DIVISION CHAMPION with the best record vs. the lowest remaining seed & the #2 seeded DIVISION CHAMPION vs the higher-remaining seed
THE INDY BOWL is set for Week #17
BOWL GAMES:
As a means of keeping teams competitively involved for the entire season, each team will participate in a post-season BOWL GAME. These games will determine the DRAFT ORDER for the subsequent season. Each team will conclude their season vs. the team adjacent to one another in the final OVERALL standings based upon the NFL tie-breaking formula in determining seeds. The format is as follows:
4FL BOWL: Championship game (Week #17)
$40 BOWL: 2 SEMI-FINAL losers (Week #17)
MANUTE BOWL: 2 FIRST ROUND losers (Week #16)
CEREAL BOWL: 7th vs 8th seeds (Week #15)
FISH BOWL: 9th vs 10th seeds (Week #15)
TOILET BOWL: 11th vs 12th seeds (Week #15)
The results of the Bowl games will determine the draft order for the following season.
1st. 4FL Bowl Champion
2nd. 4FL Bowl runner-up
3rd. $40 Bowl Champ
4th. $40 Bowl runner-up
5th. Manute Bowl Champ
6th. Cereal Bowl Champ
7th Fish Bowl Champ
8th Toilet Bowl Champ
9th. Manute Bowl runner-up
10th. Cereal Bowl runner-up
11th. Fish Bowl runner-up
12th. Toilet Bowl runner-up
Keep in mind that you are not choosing where you draft, but what draft slot you prefer. If you choose draft slot 6, you will draft wherever the number 6 shows for each round on our custom Draft Master, throughout the duration of the draft.
VIII. KEEPERS
Teams are allowed to retain players for additional season or seasons. If there is a player you wish to keep from the previous season, you must surrender a draft pick that is 3 SPOTS UP from the draft position the player was drafted the previous season. In other words, if you drafted a player in the 6TH ROUND and want to retain him for another season, must have a BYE in your 3RD ROUND
If you drafted a player in the 18th round, you may keep that player for as many seasons as you can subtract 3 spots.
NOTE: -NO players drafted in Rounds 1-3 may be retained.
-NO players that went undrafted may be kept (i.e. Free Agents. Only players drafted may be kept
-You may protect no more than THREE PLAYERS.
-Players acquired through trades that were originally drafted may be also retained. If the result of a trade leaves you with 2 players in the same draft round and you want to retain both players the next season, you must give up BYES in the 4th & 5th spots above the player's original draft position (if all 3 of your Keepers were drafted in the same round, you must give up BYES in rounds 4, 5, & 6 above their original draft position)
-You must place a bye at the earliest round available when there are no rounds to fill byes
-Players retain their salaries even when giving up an extra Bye slot to accommodate multiple players with the same salary.
-Once you DROP a player, he is no longer eligible to be a KEEPER even if you re-claim him. However, players placed on INJURED RESERVE may be considered Keepers if kept on your roster all season.
In addition, each owner is allowed to keep one FRANCHISE player. This player can be kept as long as the team wants, without any of the time restrictions that are placed on KEEPERS.
This player must have been DRAFTED ( no free agents or waiver wire adds ) in the previous draft, in Rounds 13 through 18 only.
Players added vis trade can be used as a FRANCHISE player, as long as said player was drafted in Rounds 13-18 the year before.
A FRANCHISE player can be protected until his team trades or releases him, or replaces him with a different FRANCHISE player. In this event, the original FRANCHISE player can be kept, but reverts to KEEPER status where rules for KEEPERS apply.
IX. THE PAY-OUT
The total pot is $480 with $40 from 12 teams - the pay-out is as follows:
Division Champions = $40
4FL champion = $200
4FL BOWL runner-up = $120
WINNER GETS AT LEAST $40 BOWL champion = $40
If you are the league champion and also a division champ, you would receive $240 or 50% of the pool - if you are the league champion but got in as a Wild Card, you would receive $200
