History:

Foothill Mustangs Fantasy Football – 2017 Rules

 

 

FEES:

$75 per team entry fee (10 teams)

$2 per player for waiver/free agent pickup

$2 per player per trade (pending league approval)

$7 per loss per team each week

  • Note -  Injured Reserve rule is not in effect
  • All league fees (Website activation/Draft Kit, ect.) will be divided equally among the owners and paid directly to the commissioner’s office on draft night.
  • The $75 entry fee will also be collected on draft night by the commissioner’s office, and kept in a piggy bank under a mattress.
  • All other fees will be added as the season progresses.  The league office will post the $7 per loss fee once weekly results have been recalculated.

 

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION:

1st Place – 60% of the pot

2nd Place – 25% of the pot

3rd Place – 10% of the pot

4th Place – 5 % of the pot

 

DRAFT PROCEDURE:

Draft will be held on Friday, August 26th, 2022 starting at 7pm. The Live Draft will be held at Gary's pad (279 Tamarack Ct. Blairsden, CA.  96103).

Draft order will be determined by a triple blind draw – Division, Team Name then Draft Choice.  The team that gets "Draft Choice" #1 will get there selection of where they want to draft that year.  #2 will get second choice and so on.  This needs to be done 2 weeks before the draft, so the website can be updated and prepared.

We will draft in a serpentine style

  • 1st Round – 1 through 10
  • 2nd Round – 10 through 1
  • 3rd Round – ect…….

We will draft a total of 14 rounds

Your draft must include the following

  • 1 Quarterbacks
  • 2 Running Backs
  • 2 Wide Receivers
  • 1 Tight End
  • 1 Kicker
  • 1 D/ST

You will select 6 Bench players, which can be any of the above positions. 

 

ROSTERS:

  1. You entire roster must always consist of 14 players.  The website will control this automatically, so you will not be allowed keep any more or any less at a given time.
  2. You will be required to keep the minimum # of mandatory position players (see above) on your roster at all times. 
    1. If you are caught with a roster that does not meet these requirements, you will need to adjust your roster (through drafts and drops), and will be assessed a $10 fine to the pot.
  3. You will be able to add/drop players to your roster after the draft.  This process will be addressed in the Waiver/Free Agency section.

 

STARTING LINEUPS:

Your starting lineup will consist of the following:

  • 1 Quarterbacks
  • 2 Running Backs
  • 2 Wide Receivers
  • 1 Flex RB, WR, TE
  • 1 Tight End
  • 1 Kicker
  • 1 D/ST

 

WEEKLY PLAY:

The regular season will consist of 14 weeks of Head to Head play. There will be 2 divisions.  You will play each team in your division twice, and once each for the teams in the other division.

  1. In the event of a tie, the following rules will be applied until the tie is broken:
    1. "Owners select tie breaker player"
    2. Next highest point total by a starter until tie is broken

 

WAIVERS/FREE AGENTS:

We will use a combination of Waivers and Free Agency

  1. Waivers will begin at 4:00am PST on Tuesdays and will run until Wednesday evening at 8:00pm PST.
  2. Waivers will be processed (by the league website) between 8:30pm PST on Wednesday and 3:00am PST Thursday 
  3. Waivers and Free Agency will continue for those in the playoffs through the Championship game.
  4. Waivers will be processed in the reverse order of standings according to the following:
    1. Overall Record (Worst to Best)
    2. Total Points Scored/For (Least to Most)
    3. Total Points Given Up/Against (Most to Least)

5. One the waivers have been completed, a period of free agency will begin at 7:00am PST Thursday. It will be first come first served until 6pm PST Monday. 

TRADES:

Trades will be allowed up until the final week of the regular season (Week 14).

All trades require league approval. 

Trades are $2 per player (for both teams)

 

PLAYOFFS:

Playoffs will be held during weeks 15, 16, and 17 of the regular NFL season.

There will be 6 total teams (after regular season play) that will make the playoffs.

The 2 division winners will be given a bye for the first round of the playoffs. 

The remaining 4 wildcard teams (regardless of division) will play during week 15.

 

Divisional Tiebreaker:

 

1st - Overall record

 

2nd - Head to Head

 

3rd - Division Record

 

4th - Total Points

 

5th -Total points on Head to Head games between tied teams

Example:
Albert and Scott played two games against each other (which now can happen with the 14 game regular season).
1st game 100-85 Albert
2nd game 96-54 Scott
Albert = 154
Scott = 181 (Scott wins tiebreaker)

 

Wild Card Tiebreaker:

 

1st - Overall record.  If there is a tie, one of the following options will be used:

 

Option #1 - If 2 teams are tied (overall record) from different divisions, then

 

  • Head to Head
  • Total Points
  • Total points on Head to Head games between tied teams.

 

Option #2 - If 2 or more teams are tied (overall record) from the same division, then use Divisional Tiebreaker method 

 

Option #3 - If 3 or more teams are tied (overall record) from different divisions, then:

 

  • Determine the order for each division according to Divisional Tiebreaker
  • Take the top team from East division and top team from West division, and use Option #1 to determine playoff team.
  • Remove that team from the list of teams tied with the same overall record, and begin applying Option #1 and Option #2 to determine next playoff team.  If Option #3 must be used again, start at the beginning of these instructions and continue on until all ties have broken and all playoff teams have been slotted.

The matchups for the Conference Champtionship (Week 15) will be as follows:

            #1 Division Winner vs. Lowest WC Seed

            #2 Division Winner vs. Highest WC Seed

 The winners (above) will play for 1st and 2nd place during week 16, and the losers will play for 3rd  and 4th place.

 

SCORING:

 

Quarterbacks:

 

Touchdowns = 5 pts

Successful 2 pt Conversion (Passing/Rushing/Receiving) = 2 points           

Every 10 yd increment rushing = .5 pt

Every 10 yd increment receiving = .5 pt

Every 10 yd increment passing = .5 pt

Bonus = 3 points for every 50 yard increment starting at 300 yards

Interceptions = -2 points

Lost Fumbles = -2 points

 

Running Backs, Receivers and Tight Ends:

 

Touchdown = 5 points

Successful 2 pt Conversion (Passing/Rushing/Receiving) = 2 points           

Every 10 yd increment rushing = 1 pt

Every 10 yd increment receiving = 1 pt

Every 10 yd increment passing = .5 pt

Bonus = 3 points for every 50 yard increment starting at 100 yards

Interceptions = -2 points

Lost Fumbles = -2 points

 

 

Kickers:

Touchdown = 5 points

Successful 2 pt Conversion (Passing/Rushing/Receiving) = 2 points

Successful Extra Point Kick = 1 point

Failed Extra Point Kick = -2 points

Field Goals:

            18 – 39 yds =    3 pts     -3 pts

            40 – 44 yds =    4 pts     -2 pts

            45 – 49 yds =    5 pts     -1 pts

            50 – 55 yds =    6 pts     No Penalty

            56 +      =          7 pts     No Penalty

 

Interceptions = -2 points

Lost Fumbles = -2 points

 

                                                      

Defense / Special Teams:

All Touchdowns = 5 points each

(Kickoff Return, Punt Return, Blocked FG/Punt Return, Fumble Recovery, Interception)

Safety = 2 points

Fumble Recovery = 2 point each (Note: Individual players do not score on fumbles, interceptions, TDs, etc.)

Fumbles Lost = -2

Interception = 2 points each

Interceptions Thrown = -2

Sacks = 1 point each

Blocked FG = 2 points each

Blocked XP = 1 point each

Blocked Punt = 2 points each

XP return = 2 points each

 (Note: Defense/Special Teams can lose points for fumbles lost, interceptions thrown. RTSports only handles fumbles lost by Special teams and interceptions thrown by kicker. I am not sure if a place holder or punter throws an interception or a Defense that loses a fumble that it will be recorded by RTSports. Please alert the Commisioner if these instances occurs so that the scoring can be confirmed that it was recorded by RTSports or needs to be handled manually.)

Points Scored Against:

            Shutout = 10 points

1 to 7  = 5 points

8 to 14 = 2 points

15 to 28 = 0 points

29 to 49 =  -2 points

50+       =  -5 points    

Total Yards Given Up:

            0 to 249 = 5 points

            250 to 449 = 0 points

            450 + = -5 points
