Jets RB Breece Hall (knee) downgraded to out vs. Miami

Sat Dec 7 9:01pm ET
Field Level Media

Jets running back Breece Hall has been ruled out for New York's meeting with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.

Hall is dealing with a knee injury that bothered him during a 26-21 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last weekend. He finished with 60 yards on 12 carries in that game.

With Hall sidelined, Braelon Allen figures to serve as the Jets' lead back against Miami.

In 12 games (all starts) this season, Hall has rushed for 692 yards and four touchdowns on 164 carries while also grabbing 46 catches for 401 yards and two scores.

Hall, 23, is in his third NFL season. New York selected him in the second round (36th pick) of the 2022 draft.

Bender's Starts/Sits: Week 14

Player Notes
Russell Wilson Dec 8 9:30am CT
Russell Wilson

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson took over as the starter in Week 7 and has not looked back. Wilson has looked good under center with 1,626 passing yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions across six games. Wilson is coming off a 414-yard performance against the Cincinnati Bengals last week. It appears Wilson has played himself into a role on the roster in 2025. Wilson signed a one-year deal with the Steelers over the offseason. He has certainly earned himself another sizable contract this offseason and is a great fit with this organization. The Steelers don't have a quarterback waiting in the wings with Justin Fields set to be a free agent after the season. It would make sense that the Steelers would continue to ride with Wilson until they find their next franchise quarterback.

Jordan Travis Dec 8 9:20am CT
Jordan Travis

The New York Jets' quarterback saga continues as the team reportedly plans to draft a QB in next year's NFL draft. Current quarterback Aaron Rodgers has said he wants to play next season, but his return to the Jets seems unlikely at this point. The Jets don't exactly have anyone waiting in the wings with veteran Tyrod Taylor as the second string option right now. It's worth noting that the Jets did select Jordan Travis (leg) during last year's draft, but he's still recovering from an injury he suffered in college. It doesn't sound like the Jets see Travis as the future and will continue their search for a franchise quarterback. The Jets 2024 season has gone poorly which puts them in decent position to draft a young QB in 2025.

Graham Gano Dec 8 9:20am CT
Graham Gano

New York Giants kicker Graham Gano put together his best fantasy performance of the season last week. Gano connected on both of his field goal attempts and both extra point attempts in the loss to the Dallas Cowboys. It's worth noting that Gano has only appeared in four games this season due to injury. That being said, fantasy managers haven't been able to see much from Gano this season. The 15-year veteran has been a reliable option throughout his career, but it's hard to imagine him having much success given how poorly this offense has been lately. Gano will be a shaky choice for the Week 14 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

Joshua Karty Dec 8 9:10am CT
Joshua Karty

Los Angeles Rams kicker Joshua Karty has been in a bit of a slump over the last few weeks. The rookie kicker is 0-for-3 on field goal attempts over his last three games. Karty has connected on all seven of his extra point attempts during that time, but that hasn't resulted in much fantasy value. Karty is unlikely to have reliable value against a tough Buffalo Bills defense in Week 14. Fantasy managers looking for help at the kicker spot might want to look elsewhere given Karty's recent struggles.

Raheem Mostert Dec 8 9:03am CT
Raheem Mostert

Miami Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (hip) is not expected to play in Week 14's game versus the New York Jets, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Mostert had been listed as questionable on the injury report after being a limited practice participant throughout the week. Even in the unlikely event that he is cleared for the game, he could be ignored in most fantasy leagues because he would probably see limited touches.

Cade York Dec 8 9:00am CT
Cade York

Cincinnati Bengals kicker Cade York has taken over the starting kicking duties with Evan McPherson (groin) being placed on the injured reserve. York has only appeared in one game this season with the Washington Commanders. York missed both of his field goal attempts and made two extra point attempts. The 23-year-old should immediately be placed on the fantasy radar given how many points this offense has been scoring this season. York figures to get plenty of chances during the Week 14 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Fantasy managers looking for a kicker for this weekend should take a look at York.

Nick Folk Dec 8 9:00am CT
Nick Folk

Tennessee Titans kicker Nick Folk has seen his workload increase over the last few weeks. In fact, Folk has made all seven of his field goal attempts over the last three games. The veteran kicker has been solid as he has missed only one kick all season long. The assumption is that Folk should continue having decent streaming appeal against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14. The Titans offense should be able to have success moving the ball which should put Folk in a position to succeed this weekend.

Cordarrelle Patterson Dec 8 8:30am CT
Cordarrelle Patterson

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Cordarrelle Patterson saw six touches during last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The veteran back rushed three times for 16 yards while hauling in all three of his targets for an additional 37 yards through the air. The Steelers have found a way to get Patterson involved in the offense, but his role is unlikely to expand with Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren healthy right now. The expectation is that Patterson will few a handful of touches, but it's unlikely to be enough to warrant streaming him in any fantasy formats.

D.J. Moore Dec 8 8:23am CT
D.J. Moore

Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore (quadriceps) is expected to play in Week 14's game versus the San Francisco 49ers, according to interim head coach Thomas X. Brown.

Fantasy Spin: Moore had been listed as questionable on the injury report after logging just one limited practice session during the week. He can be a starting option in fantasy leagues if he is officially declared active for the game.

From TheHuddle

Cedrick Wilson Dec 8 8:20am CT
Cedrick Wilson

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. hasn't done much on the field this season. Last week, Wilson hauled in his lone target for 19 yards in the loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The Saints are banged up at wideout which has put Wilson higher on the depth chart. However, Wilson still hasn't been involved much in the offense lately. At this point, fantasy managers should look elsewhere for help with Wilson having three receptions since Week 9.

Malik Nabers Dec 8 7:30am CT
Malik Nabers

The New York Giants have no plans to shut down wide receiver Malik Nabers (groin) despite being limited from playoff contention, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Nabers has been one of the best rookies in the NFL this season, ranking as the overall WR12 in fantasy football with his 75 catches, 740 yards, and three touchdowns through 10 games. The LSU product has shown that he can post top-tier fantasy results regardless of poor quarterback play in New York or tough matchups. Fantasy managers will be pleased to hear that Nabers won't be shut down and should be available to them for the final stretch of the season.

From RotoBaller

Sam Darnold Dec 8 7:30am CT
Sam Darnold

The Minnesota Vikings have not engaged in long-term extension talks with quarterback Sam Darnold, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Darnold was brought in last offseason as a bridge quarterback, but he has been a pleasant surprise, completing 67.6 percent of his passes for 2,952 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions while leading the Vikings to an impressive 10-2 record. His success creates a predicament for the Vikings, who have surely been impressed by his performance and would be interested in bringing him back. However, Minnesota also made an enormous commitment to rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy, selecting him with the 10th overall pick and developing him before he had to be shut down due to a knee injury. McCarthy remains the Vikings' franchise quarterback of the future, and his anticipated return in 2025 could be one of the reasons why Minnesota is hesitant to offer Darnold a long-term extension. Regardless of what offer the Vikings make, Darnold should open 2025 as a starting quarterback in the NFL.

From RotoBaller

David Moore Dec 8 7:20am CT
David Moore

Carolina Panthers wide receiver David Moore should be thought of as a desperation WR5 when the Panthers take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14. The veteran receiver has commanded 19 targets during the past two weeks as second-year quarterback Bryce Young has shown dramatic improvement, but this week's matchup is best avoided. The Eagles rank third in air yards allowed, third in yards after catch, and are tied for sixth in sacks, and the Panthers are the biggest underdog of the weekend. Managers in playoff contention almost certainly will have stronger options elsewhere on their rosters.

From RotoBaller

Mike Gesicki Dec 8 7:10am CT
Mike Gesicki

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki should be considered a TE2 option in Week 14 against the Dallas Cowboys. The veteran tight end's usage has been unpredictable, drawing five catches while playing fewer than half of Cincinnati's snaps last week, yet managing four total catches in the two prior weeks despite more playing time in both games. Dallas has struggled overall, but has been middle-of-the-pack against fantasy tight ends. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow loves his tight ends, but with receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins likely to command targets and running back Chase Brown an involved pass-catcher as well, playing Gesicki comes with some risk.

Ladd McConkey Dec 8 7:00am CT
Ladd McConkey

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey (shoulder, knee) is considered a true game-time decision to play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This development puts fantasy managers in a bind: McConkey is an effective WR2 option if he plays, but as the Sunday Night Football game, managers are out of runway if he's ruled out. Tight end Will Dissly has quickly vaulted to second on the team in targets, while receivers Joshua Palmer and Quentin Johnson are low-volume options who could see a boost if McConkey doesn't play.

From RotoBaller

Alexander Mattison Dec 8 6:40am CT
Alexander Mattison

Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison (ankle) is a "long-shot" to play on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Running back Zamir White (quad) has already been ruled out, leaving Sincere McCormick and veteran journeyman Ameer Abdullah as the top options. Mattison has only 320 yards this season, which leads the team. At this stage of the season, a fantasy manager relying upon anybody in the Raiders' running game is asking for a bad time.

From RotoBaller

Keon Coleman Dec 8 6:30am CT
Keon Coleman

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman (wrist) is a game-decision to play today against the Los Angeles Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The rookie from Florida State has not played since Week 9 and is listed as questionable this week. Buffalo has still vaulted to 10-2 despite missing Coleman and tight end Dalton Kincaid in recent weeks, with wide receiver Khalil Shakir now leading Bills pass catchers with 73 targets and 60 catches. Now that receiver Amari Cooper is also in the picture, Coleman is not likely to receive enough volume to be in fantasy lineups, even if he plays.

From RotoBaller

Raheem Mostert Dec 8 6:30am CT
Raheem Mostert

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (hip) is not expected to suit up Sunday when his team takes on the New York Jets, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The veteran already had seen a decrease in playing time, logging fewer than 40% of Miami's snaps in five straight weeks. Running back De'Von Achane will continue to run the show out of the Dolphins' backfield with rookie Jaylen Wright mixing in as well. Now in his 10th season in the league, Mostert's days as a fantasy option are probably behind him.

From RotoBaller

Dalton Kincaid Dec 8 6:20am CT
Dalton Kincaid

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (knee), who is listed as questionable to play the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14, is not expected to suit up, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The second-year tight end has not played since Week 10, but the Bills are now up to seven consecutive wins. Wide receiver Khalil Shakir has drawn a team-best 28 combined targets in the three prior games Kincaid has missed, but tight end Dawson Knox has also seen increased receiving volume. Knox has 136 receiving yards in the past three weeks, making him the logical fantasy fill-in for Kincaid if he's still available.

Kenneth Walker III Dec 8 1:50am CT
Kenneth Walker III

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (ankle, calf) has already been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Arizona Cardinals. However, the 24-year-old may not be out long, with ESPN's Adam Schefter reporting there's a chance he'll be back on the field for the Week 15 encounter against the Green Bay Packers. In the meantime, Zach Charbonnet, who found the end zone versus the Jets in Week 13, has the potential to have his best showing of the 2024-2025 campaign.
