Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (neck) carted off vs. Ravens

Field Level Media

Browns linebacker and leading tackler Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was carted off the field with a neck injury during Cleveland's 29-24 win over the visiting Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Owusu-Koramoah, 24, was hurt during the third quarter after colliding with Baltimore running back Derrick Henry. ESPN reported that Owusu-Koramoah was evaluated at a nearby hospital and has movement in all extremities.

Henry's right shoulder barreled into Owusu-Koramoah's head and neck area on a 10-yard run with less than a minute remaining in the third quarter. Owusu-Koramoah immediately went down and stayed on the ground as medical trainers tended to him for several minutes.

He was placed on a backboard and raised a fist to the crowd as he was carted off with the Browns leading 20-17.

Owusu-Koramoah had seven tackles on Sunday before exiting, pushing his team-leading total to 61. The fourth-year veteran out of Notre Dame posted a career-high 101 tackles in 16 games (13 starts) last season and made his first Pro Bowl.

Cleveland also lost cornerback Denzel Ward (concussion) during the third quarter. Ward has now sustained six documented concussions across his seven NFL seasons.

Jameis Winston connected with Cedric Tillman for the game-winning, 38-yard touchdown with 59 seconds left as the Browns (2-6) halted a five-game skid.

Bender's Starts/Sits: Week 8

Player Notes
Stefon Diggs Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Stefon Diggs

Dynasty | Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs had five catches for 81 yards before exiting with a knee injury in Houston's win against Indianapolis. Dynasty Analysis: Not good. Diggs was doing a nice job taking over for an injured Nico Collins, but non-contact knee injuries are never positive. Diggs went down in a heap and while he left the field under his own power in the third quarter. This had the looks of a potentially significant turn of events. We'll wait to see what happens with further testing, but anyone who has Diggs as a key player in their lineups may need to make alternate plans soon.

Anthony Richardson Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Anthony Richardson

Dynasty | Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson completed just 10-of-32 passes for 175 yards with one touchdown and one interception in a loss against Houston. Dynasty Analysis: He added 45 rushing yards. The fantasy total wasn't awful, but Richardson's completion percentage of 44% this season is downright awful. He came out of the game healthy again, but he needs to start making more accurate throws and better decisions if he wants to be the long-term answer for the Colts. His dynasty value is going to remain static, but he really hasn't taken much of a step forward thus far in 2024.

Tank Dell Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Tank Dell

Dynasty | Texans wide receiver John Metchie had three catches for 29 yards in a win against the Colts. Dynasty Analysis: The line isn't anything to write home about, but it's quite possible the Texans have lost Stefon Diggs at least in the short-term, and possibly for the season. If Nico Collins remains out, Metchie has a chance to finally emerge in dynasty leagues opposite Tank Dell. He should be on rosters everywhere at this point.

Jordan Love Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Jordan Love

Dynasty | Jordan Love was forced from Sunday's win against Jacksonville with a groin injury. Dynasty Analysis: Love stayed on the sidelines and while this doesn't have the look of a serious, long-term issue, groin injuries are notoriously tricky to manage. Love was just 14-of-22 for 196 yards with no touchdowns and one interception prior to leaving. Love has had an up and down season and now has 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions on the year, making him a bit of a fantasy disappointment. Managers will be watching the news closely over the next couple of days to see what kind of severity we're looking at.

Jordan Love Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Jordan Love

Dynasty | Packers running back Josh Jacobs had 127 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a win against Jacksonville. Dynasty Analysis: He added one catch for -2 yards. This was one of his best days as a Packer by far and it's even more notable because it looks like Jordan Love could miss some time with a groin injury. Regardless, Jacobs has been a workhorse for Green Bay and has done the same for dynasty managers all season. He's a prime trade target for a contending team as we get close to November.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Travis Etienne Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Travis Etienne

Dynasty | Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby had 78 rushing yards in a loss against Green Bay. Dynasty Analysis: He added two catches for eight yards. Bigsby had a great opportunity to make a statement today with Travis Etienne out with an injury, but he just couldn't get much going. On the plus side, he did get the lion's share of the work as D'Ernest Johnson had just one carry compared to his 18. This will likely quiet some of the Etienne trade rumors, at least for a week. Bigsby remains a solid hold in dynasty leagues as his managers are hoping for him to get a backfield to himself someday, either in Jacksonville or elsewhere.

Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Brian Thomas Jr.

Dynasty | Jaguars rookie wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr had three catches for 60 yards and a touchdown in a loss against Green Bay. Dynasty Analysis: Thomas was able to salvage his day with a touchdown, but was otherwise quiet. Still, he's done nothing but impress all season and if today represents his floor, dynasty managers have a top four rookie on their roster. Thomas will be a roster staple until further notice as he's clearly become the Jaguars most effective weapon on offense.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Mike Evans Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Mike Evans

Dynasty | Tampa Bay tight end Cade Otton had nine catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns in a loss against Atlanta. Dynasty Analysis: Otton led the Bucs in targets with ten and made the most of them with the biggest day of his young career. With Mike Evans and Chris Godwin out, it seems Tampa Bay is going to look towards Otton to lead the receiving corps in the short-term. While this will likely be his best game of the year, he has 17 catches for 181 yards and those two scores over the past two weeks, making him an easy TE1 until further notice.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Sean Tucker Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Sean Tucker

Dynasty | Bucs running back Bucky Irving had 44 rushing yards, seven catches and 40 receiving yards in a loss against the Falcons. Dynasty Analysis: Irving simply makes plays each and every week and looks like the best running back on the roster. While Rachaad White (11 touches) and Sean Tucker (three) aren't going anywhere any time soon, Irving looks like the best bet for fantasy production moving forward. Any injury to White would also vault him into the RB2 conversation at the very least. Irving has a solid future and remains a great hold in dynasty leagues.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Jalen McMillan Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Jalen McMillan

Dynasty | Tampa Bay wide receiver Jalen McMillan had four catches for 35 yards in a loss to Atlanta. Dynasty Analysis: McMillan had a golden opportunity to shine with both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin on the shelf, but didn't do much on the day, yet again. The rookie still has a bright future, but also only has ten catches on the season, which makes him a bench player until further notice. Perhaps we'll see something more in the coming weeks as Tampa Bay figures out how best to survive without their two best pass catchers.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Drake Maye Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Drake Maye

Dynasty | Patriots quarterback Drake Maye left the Patriots win against the Jets early with concussion-like symptoms. Dynasty Analysis: Maye completed just 3-of-6 passes for 23 yards before leaving, though he did add 46 yards and a touchdown on the ground. New England was still able to salvage the win without him, but he'll be needed back quickly if they want to have any kind of chance to make an extended run at a wild card playoff spot this season. Maye will likely enter concussion protocol, so the impressive young rookie's progress will be monitored this week. He remains a solid QB2 in dynasty leagues.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Kayshon Boutte Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Kayshon Boutte

Dynasty | Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte led the Patriots with three catches and 46 yards in their upset win over the Jets. Dynasty Analysis: The line isn't exactly going to set social media on fire, but it's notable as Boutte seems to be making his way up the depth chart slowly but surely. He's a long way from dynasty lineups, but you could do worse when looking for a deep dynasty roster stash at the moment.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Trey McBride Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Trey McBride

Dynasty | Cardinals tight end Trey McBride had nine catches for 124 yards in a win against Miami. Dynasty Analysis: McBride did his part on what was billed again as "National Tight Ends Day." While he has still yet to score this season, it's apparent that's going to come soon enough. McBride has been able to keep his value afloat with 42 catches for 446 yards in just seven games played. McBride may actually be undervalued in dynasty leagues because of his lack of scoring plays this year. However, those paying attention should pounce if they can.

From Dynasty League Fantasy

Tua Tagovailoa Oct 27 5:13pm CT
Tua Tagovailoa

Dynasty | Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 28-of-38 passes for 234 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in a loss to the Cardinals. Dynasty Analysis: The Dolphins offense looked markedly better with Tua at the helm and Tagovailoa himself looked sharp, though he did fumble three times (none of them were lost). More importantly, he left the game healthy. Tagovailoa predictably made both Tyreek Hill (six catches for 72 yards) and Jaylen Waddle (four for 45) fantasy relevant again. Tagovailoa is going to be at constant risk for another head injury, capping his dynasty value. However, it's clear Miami is back to looking like a team to mine for short-term fantasy production.

Christian Watson Oct 27 5:10pm CT
Christian Watson

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson led the Packers in receptions as they edged the Jaguars in Jacksonville 30-27 in Week 8. Watson tied for the team lead in targets on the day with a six-target effort, bringing in a team-leading four receptions for 39 yards on the afternoon. All six of Watson's targets came with Jordan Love at quarterback, who left in the third quarter with a groin injury. Watson put forth a solid effort, but with the injury to Love and the bevy of pass-catchers involved each week in Green Bay, there's a lot of competition for targets and fantasy point-scoring opportunities. Watson is a boom-or-bust flex option for fantasy managers when the Packers host the Detroit Lions in Week 9.

Rico Dowdle Oct 27 5:10pm CT
Rico Dowdle

Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle (illness) is questionable for Sunday night's matchup with the 49ers. He arrived to the arena with an illness, which would explain his late addition to the injury report. The 26-year-old has only 246 yards off 59 carries, adding 16 catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns this season. While he's not the most productive, his upside has earned him at least flex consideration in fantasy lineups. With that said, if Dowdle is sidelined, Ezekiel Elliott and Dalvin Cook will presumably split carries, although they are tough to trust.

Jayden Reed Oct 27 5:00pm CT
Jayden Reed

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was very quiet on the stat sheet until late in the Packers' 30-27 victory on the road in Jacksonville against the Jaguars. Reed only earned three targets, two receptions and 55 receiving yards on the afternoon, but no reception was bigger than late in the fourth quarter when Malik Willis found Reed on the sideline for the 51-yard catch and run to help set up Brandon McManus' game-winning field goal. It's been a quiet few weeks for Reed, as his target volume has fallen off week by week, but he's still a dynamic player that can hit in a big way for fantasy purposes. Against the Lions in Week 9, Reed is more of a mid-range WR2 with major upside for fantasy managers.

From RotoBaller

Romeo Doubs Oct 27 4:50pm CT
Romeo Doubs

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs put up solid production in the Packers' 30-27 victory on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Doubs led the Packers' pass-catchers in targets (6) as he caught three of those for 72 yards. Jordan Love (groin) left the game early in the third quarter, leaving backup quarterback Malik Willis to orchestrate the offense. All of Doubs' targets came with Love in the game, as the Packers opted to employ a run-heavy approach for the rest of the game as Willis only had five pass attempts in the game. Doubs has been plenty involved in the offense as of late and that should continue as the Packers host the Detroit Lions in Week 9. Consider Doubs and low-end WR3 option in fantasy if Love is able to play in Week 9.

From RotoBaller

Denzel Ward Oct 27 4:40pm CT
Denzel Ward

Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward (head) was diagnosed with a concussion, the sixth documented case of his career. The veteran exited Sunday's win over the Ravens, so his status for Week 9 against the Chargers is up in the air. But considering he most recently suffered a concussion in the summer, the team will likely be extremely cautious before he's permitted to get back on the field.

From RotoBaller

Josh Jacobs Oct 27 4:40pm CT
Josh Jacobs

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs had a huge day in the Packers' 30-27 victory on the road in Jacksonville against the Jaguars. Jacobs took 25 carries and turned them into 127 rushing yards and two touchdown scores on the afternoon. Kicking off the scoring on the day was Jacobs with a three-yard touchdown plunge early in the first quarter. Jacobs put the Packers in the lead at the end of the third quarter with a 38-yard score, his longest run of the season. He also added one reception for -2 yards on two targets. With Jacobs and the Packers hosting the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions in Week 9, Jacobs should be considered a low-end RB1 in fantasy for the matchup.
