NFL roundup: Jared Goff, Lions torch Cowboys

Jared Goff passed for 315 yards and three touchdowns but Detroit lost top defensive player Aidan Hutchinson in a 47-9 thumping of Dallas in Arlington, Texas on Sunday.
Hutchinson suffered a serious left leg injury in the third quarter while sacking Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott and was carted off the field. After the game, Lions coach Dan Campbell said it was a tibia injury and that Hutchinson would remain in the Dallas area while the team flew back to Detroit.
David Montgomery rushed for 80 yards and two touchdowns for the Lions (4-1), who have won three in a row.
Prescott passed for 178 yards and was intercepted twice, both by Brian Branch, as the Cowboys (3-3) dropped to 0-3 in home games. Cooper Rush relieved Prescott and was 8-for-11 passing for 46 yards and an interception. CeeDee Lamb had seven catches for 89 yards for Dallas.
Bears 35, Jaguars 16
Rookie Caleb Williams tossed a career-best four touchdown passes to lead Chicago over Jacksonville at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. His four scoring tosses helped the Bears (4-2) win their third game in a row.
Williams continued to impress, completing 23 of 29 passes for 226 yards and an interception. He also ran for 56 yards on four attempts. It was Williams' third multi-touchdown performance in his past four starts. He finished with a 124.4 passer rating.
Jacksonville (1-5) failed to put together back-to-back wins after snapping a four-game losing streak last week. Trevor Lawrence completed 23 of 35 passes for 234 yards and threw two touchdown passes and an interception. The pick led to a 1-yard touchdown by D'Andre Swift early in the fourth quarter to give the Bears their final points of the game.
Colts 20, Titans 17
Joe Flacco threw two touchdown passes, including the game-winner in the fourth quarter as Indianapolis rallied for a win over Tennessee in Nashville, Tenn.
Flacco, who was 22 of 38 for 189 yards and an interception, found Michael Pittman Jr. for a 5-yard strike on third-and-9 with 7:27 left as Indianapolis improved to 3-3. John Downs had seven catches for 66 yards and a score for the Colts, who won despite star running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) missing his second straight game.
In his first start since Sept. 30, Tennessee quarterback Will Levis hit 16 of 27 passes for only 95 yards with a touchdown and a fourth-quarter interception. Tony Pollard rushed for a game-high 93 yards and a touchdown for the Titans (1-4), who are 0-3 at home.
Eagles 20, Browns 16
A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith each caught a touchdown pass in their return to action as Philadelphia held off visiting Cleveland, handing the Browns their fourth straight loss.
Smith missed the previous game with a concussion, while Brown sat out the last three contests with a hamstring injury. In this one, they combined for nine catches for 180 yards from Jalen Hurts (16-of-25 passing, 264 yards, two TDs, no turnovers) as the Eagles (3-2) survived down the stretch.
Smith broke a 13-13 tie with 7:54 remaining when he caught a shallow cross and ran unobstructed down the right sideline for a 45-yard touchdown. Cleveland (1-5) settled for Dustin Hopkins' 31-yard field goal with 3:54 left but the Eagles ran out the clock from there.
Texans 41, Patriots 21
C.J. Stroud threw for three touchdowns to lift Houston to a win over New England in Foxborough, Mass.
Stroud completed 20 of 31 passes for 192 yards and was picked off once as Houston (5-1) spoiled Drake Maye's first career start. Maye, selected third overall by New England in this year's draft, finished with 243 yards, three scores and two picks on 20-of-33 passing. His 40-yard strike to Kayshon Boutte before the first half was his first NFL TD pass.
Joe Mixon returned from a three-game absence to rack up 132 yards from scrimmage (102 rushing, 30 receiving) for the Texans. He rushed for a touchdown and caught another. Stefon Diggs was one of Stroud's favorite targets, hauling in six catches for 77 yards and a score.
After seeing its first five drives end in four punts and a pick, New England (1-5) came to life just before the break, pulling within 14-7 on Maye's 40-yard scoring strike to Kayshon Boutte with 11 seconds left in the first half. It was Maye's first career passing TD.
Packers 34, Cardinals 13
Jordan Love matched his career best of four touchdown passes to lead Green Bay to an easy victory over visiting Arizona.
Love completed 22 of 32 passes for 258 yards with one interception to help the Packers (4-2) win their second straight game. Love has thrown 10 touchdown passes in three games since returning from a knee injury. Green Bay's Romeo Doubs caught two touchdown passes one week after serving a suspension for conduct detrimental to the team.
Kyler Murray also was 22-of-32 passing while accumulating 214 yards and one touchdown for the Cardinals (2-4), who lost for the third time in four games. Michael Wilson caught a touchdown pass while Trey McBride had eight receptions for 96 yards. Arizona's Marvin Harrison Jr. sustained a first-half concussion and missed the rest of the game.
Buccaneers 51, Saints 27
Baker Mayfield passed for 325 yards and four touchdowns and visiting Tampa Bay defeated New Orleans. Mayfield overcame three interceptions to complete a tumultuous week in which the Bucs (4-2) relocated to New Orleans on Tuesday to avoid Hurricane Milton.
Sean Tucker racked up 192 yards from scrimmage (136 rushing, 56 receiving) with two touchdowns, and Chris Godwin had 11 catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns as Tampa Bay squandered a 17-0 first-quarter lead before outscoring the Saints 27-0 in the second half and finishing with 594 yards.
Rookie Spencer Rattler made his NFL debut in place of the injured Derek Carr and passed for 243 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions for the Saints (2-4), who lost their fourth straight.
Ravens 30, Commanders 23
Lamar Jackson threw for 323 yards and a touchdown as Baltimore (4-2) earned a victory over Washington and rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. Jackson was 20-of-26 passing with an interception and added 40 yards rushing on 11 carries, while improving to 22-3 against NFC teams.
Ravens running back Derrick Henry had 132 yards on 24 carries with two touchdowns while becoming the first player to rush for a touchdown in each of his first six games since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2005.
Daniels was 24-of-35 passing for 269 yards and two touchdowns, while also leading the Commanders (4-2) with 22 rushing yards on six attempts.
Steelers 32, Raiders 13
Justin Fields passed for 145 yards and rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns, and Pittsburgh pulled away for a win over host Las Vegas.
Najee Harris had 14 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown for Pittsburgh (4-2), which snapped a two-game skid. Chris Boswell added four field goals. Russell Wilson was active for the first time this season but served as the backup to Fields.
Aidan O'Connell completed 27 of 40 passes for 227 yards, one touchdown and one interception in his first start of the season for Las Vegas (2-4). Alexander Mattison had a rushing touchdown and Kristian Wilkerson had a touchdown catch.
Chargers 23, Broncos 16
Justin Herbert passed for 237 yards and a touchdown and Cameron Dicker kicked three field goals as visiting Los Angeles defeated Denver.
Los Angeles (3-2) scored the first 23 points before holding on to stop the Broncos' three-game winning streak. Denver fell to 3-3. Quarterback Bo Nix was 19-for-33 passing for 216 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.
Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh briefly exited the game in the first quarter with an illness, which Harbaugh revealed in his postgame press conference was arrhythmia. Harbaugh was examined in the team's medical tent on the sideline before being taken to the locker room for further evaluation. He returned to the sideline soon after.
Falcons 38, Panthers 20
Bijan Robinson ran for two touchdowns, Tyler Allgeier gained 105 yards on the ground and Atlanta fended off Carolina to win in Charlotte, N.C.
Kirk Cousins threw for 225 yards and a touchdown without an interception as the Falcons (4-2) won their third game in a row -- all against NFC South rivals. Allgeier, who posted a touchdown and a two-point conversion run, had 18 carries and Robinson picked up 95 rushing yards on 15 attempts.
Andy Dalton threw for 221 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions as the Panthers (1-5) remained winless in three home games. Chuba Hubbard rushed for 92 yards.

Bender's Starts/Sits: Week 6
Washington Commanders defensive tackle Jonathan Allen (pectoral) exited during the third quarter of Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens and was subsequently ruled out for the remainder of the contest. He finished Week 6 with two tackles, bringing his season total up to 15. The 29-year-old is known for being an impact player on defense for Washington, so the Commanders suddenly find themselves shorthanded without both him and Dorance Armstrong (ribs).

Things weren't looking great for Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton's fantasy managers for most of the Week 6 contest against the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday until late in the fourth quarter. Sutton's final line was four catches on six targets for 53 yards and his second touchdown reception of the year. The 29-year-old's 37-yard TD grab was a highlight-reel catch near the back of the end zone in which he laid out and initially caught the ball one-handed. If not for the amazing catch, though, he would have finished with another very mediocre fantasy day. Sutton will likely continue to be more of a touchdown-dependent WR4/flex for fantasy managers, but the good news is that rookie quarterback Bo Nix has shown improvement in the last five weeks with five touchdowns and only one pick. Sutton will be looking to keep the positive momentum and score for the second straight game in a Week 7 Thursday night clash against the Saints.

Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Devaughn Vele came out of nowhere to lead the Broncos with 78 receiving yards in the 23-16 Week 6 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Both Vele's four receptions and six targets were tied with Courtland Sutton for the team lead on a day in which the Broncos' offense did all of its damage in the fourth quarter in comeback mode down 23 points. In his NFL debut in Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks, he caught all eight of his targets for 39 yards before missing time with an injury and then being a healthy scratch the last several weeks. The 26-year-old seventh-rounder out of Utah appears to have some nice chemistry with fellow rookie QB Bo Nix, and more opportunities will remain with Josh Reynolds (finger) missing at least the next three games while on IR. However, Vaughn should only be a deep-league waiver-wire consideration in Denver's low-scoring offense.

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams had the best game of his season in last week's win over the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders but followed it up with a miserable performance in the 23-16 Week 6 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers. Williams finished with six carries for only 23 yards and a lost fumble, adding three catches on six targets for 13 receiving yards. He had as many carries as quarterback Bo Nix, and his nine touches tied a season low. About the only positive on the day was that his six targets tied for the team high. Outside of Williams' 111-yard scrimmage day in Week 5, he has done very little for fantasy managers and just hasn't looked explosive at all as Denver's lead back. Through six weeks, the 24-year-old has also yet to find the end zone. It won't get any easier on a quick turnaround next Thursday on the road in a hostile environment against the Saints. Williams will be a low-upside, low-floor RB3/flex for that one.

Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin had season-low-tying three carries for eight yards in the 23-16 Week 6 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, adding two catches on two targets for 17 yards through the air. Rookie Audric Estime, who was activated from Injured Reserve to make his NFL debut on Sunday, had two carries for 13 yards. McLaughlin has found the end zone twice in six games, but he's had double-digits in carries just once (back in Week 1) and hasn't topped 46 yards on the ground. It's been a theme this year so far of the Broncos' ground game being stuck in the mud, and that theme returned against a tough Bolts defense. Now that Estime is in the fold as the RB3 in Denver's backfield, it will be even harder for McLaughlin to return any fantasy value in deeper formats. RotoBaller won't be recommending the second-year back for starting lineups in Week 7 against the Saints.

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix began his NFL career without throwing a single touchdown pass in his first three games, but in the last three games, he has five TD tosses, including two more in the 23-16 Week 6 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Chargers. A lot of Nix's production -- he went 19-for-33 passing for 216 yards, two TDs and an interception -- came late in the second quarter with the Broncos in rush mode while down by 23 points. The 12th overall pick also used his legs to pick up some big chunk gains for first downs, running six times for a season-high 61 yards to lead Denver in rushing. It certainly wasn't pretty for most of this game, but Nix turned it on late to finish with a respectable performance. He has a 5:1 TD-to-interception the last three weeks and has shown progress running the offense. The 24-year-old's fantasy needle is pointing up slightly as a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues heading into next Thursday's matchup against the Saints.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London drew 10 targets in Sunday's 38-20 victory over the Panthers, converting those looks into six catches for 74 yards and a touchdown. That makes three consecutive games with double-digit targets and five straight with at least six receptions after beginning the season with a 2-15-0 line in Week 1. The 23-year-old also has TDs in four of his last five games. The former first-round draft pick now has 428 yards on 44 receptions and four touchdowns through six games and is among the league leaders in each of those categories, making him a WR1 for fantasy. The USC product will take on Seattle at home next week, a defense that has allowed big games recently to receivers Deebo Samuel Sr. in Week 6 (3-102-10) and Darius Slayton (8-122-1) in Week 5. With the Falcons favored (-3) and the matchup having one of the highest expected totals on the board (49.5), London should keep rolling in Week 7 as a WR1 for fantasy.

Carolina Panthers tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders caught 5-of-7 targets for 49 yards in Sunday's loss to their division-rival Atlanta Falcons. It was the most productive outing of Sanders' young career thus far, and he's performed well in the stead of teammate Tommy Tremble (concussion). The rookie tight end's five targets in Week 5 were more than Tremble had racked up in any contest this season, and he might have made a case for a more prominent role even when the injured Tremble returns to the lineup. It's a case worth monitoring, though the future of this offense is murky. For now, Andy Dalton is the quarterback, but for how long has yet to be determined. The 21-year-old could be busy again in Week 7 when he lines up against a Washington Commanders squad that came into this Sunday averaging the most points in the NFL. However, he'll be tough to trust as a viable source of fantasy output, especially if Tremble is active.

Dynasty | Falcons running back Bijan Robinson had 95 rushing yards, three catches, ten receiving yards and two touchdowns in a win against Carolina. Dynasty Analysis: That's the good news. The bad news is the fact Tyler Allgeier had 18 carries (Robinson had 15) and scored a touchdown of his own. At this point, it is what it is - Robinson is a committee back who is going to be stuck in somewhere around a 60/40 touch-share with Allgeier for the foreseeable future. While he'll have RB1 days like this, he's also a player who has a lower floor than many had expected. Robinson's dynasty value is slipping a touch while Allgeier's is rising.
Dynasty | Panthers tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders had five catches for 49 yards in a loss to the Falcons. Dynasty Analysis: Sanders had just eight catches for 41 yards on the season, so today's line (and seven targets) are a good sign for him moving forward. While the Panthers offense can't be trusted on a weekly basis, this should at least put Sanders on the map. He's a solid hold moving forward as Carolina tries to right the ship.
Dynasty | Panthers rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette had three catches for 23 yards and a touchdown in a loss to the Falcons. Dynasty Analysis: Legette still hasn't passed 200 total receiving yards on the season but you can certainly tell he has some talent. The Panthers are a mess and Legette hasn't been given much of a fighting chance all season, so today was a good day. He remains a solid buy candidate as a rookie receiver who hasn't hit his stride but has some solid long-term potential.
Dynasty | Steelers quarterback Justin Fields completed 14-of-24 passes for 145 yards, adding 59 rushing yards and two touchdowns in a blowout win over Las Vegas. Dynasty Analysis: Fields hasn't been very inspiring as a passer this year, but his rushing ability has won Pittsburgh some games and kept his dynasty value afloat. Most importantly, he has just one turnover all season through six games and has done nothing but keep the Steelers in football games. At this point, Fields' dynasty value is stable and it would be a shock to see Pittsburgh turn to Russell Wilson while he keeps winning games.
Dynasty | Steelers running back Najee Harris had 106 rushing yards and a touchdown in a win against the Raiders. Dynasty Analysis: He added 16 receiving yards on two catches and posted his big day on just 14 carries. This was a much-needed big performance from Harris, who was likely benched by a host of dynasty managers this afternoon. While we need to see a lot more before trusting him, Harris still seems like the clear RB1 in Pittsburgh and a threat to score every week.
Dynasty | Raiders tight end Brock Bowers had nine catches for 71 yards in a loss to Pittsburgh. Dynasty Analysis: Bowers now has 37 catches through six games, putting him on pace for more than 100 on the season. While dynasty managers may be frustrated at the lack of touchdowns (he has just one), it's hard to look at Bowers and not see the future TE1 in dynasty leagues. He's locked and loaded in lineups moving forward and a player to build around moving forward.
Dynasty | Lions quarterback Jared Goff completed 18-of-25 passes for 315 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in a 47-9 road demolition of the Dallas Cowboys. Dynasty Analysis: Despite going 18-of-18 last week, this was Goff's best game of the season as he simply carved up the Dallas defense and did whatever he wanted. The Lions are rolling and Goff looks like he's hitting his stride. While dynasty managers are always going to complain about the lack of rushing yards, Goff is again in the weekly QB1 conversation as he looks like he's getting into a serious groove. He remains one of the more underrated dynasty quarterbacks and a clear target for contending teams in need of a signal caller.
Dynasty | Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott completed 17-of-33 passes for 178 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in a home blowout loss to Detroit. Dynasty Analysis: Prescott traditionally has some serious ups and downs, but this was a truly awful performance. He routinely missed open receivers and was outdueled by Detroit quarterback Jared Goff on his home turf. With just eight touchdown passes and six interceptions through six games, it's time to start wondering if dynasty teams can truly count on him as a QB1 moving forward this season. In short, it may be time to panic.
Dynasty | Chargers running back JK Dobbins had 96 rushing yards and a touchdown in a win against Denver. Dynasty Analysis: He added two catches for six yards. Dobbins was predictably busy in this one after Gus Edwards was put on IR this week. It's been a big-time bounce-back season for Dobbins, who had a season high 25 carries in this one. While he hasn't had a 100-yard game since the second week of the season, the thought Dobbins was going to be unable to return to his pre-injury form seem to have been put to rest. He'll be a solid RB2 moving forward and dynasty managers need to really look at him as a potential buy or sell depending on where they sit after six weeks.
Dynasty | Broncos wide receiver Devaughn Vele had four catches for 78 yards in a loss to the Chargers. Dynasty Analysis: Vele has been talked about a lot as a potential breakout player this year after making the team as a seventh round draft pick. Today was a good start as he returned form a short-term absence to post a decent game. While expectations should be tempered, you could certainly do worse on a waiver wire add this week.
Dynasty | Broncos running back Javonte Williams had 23 rushing yards, three catches and 13 receiving yards while also losing a fumble in a loss against the Chargers. Dynasty Analysis: After six games, it's fair to make an assessment about Williams and he just simply hasn't been very good. His 23 yards today put him just over 200 on the season and his 3.7 yards per carry isn't inspiring much confidence moving forward. His 17 catches on the year have helped but Williams has yet to score a touchdown on the season. At this point, the idea Williams was going to have a big year have come and gone and he belongs on dynasty benches as his value sinks each week.
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Diontae Johnson reeled in 6-of-10 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Johnson scored his third touchdown in the last four games in this one and led his team in every significant receiving category. Since quarterback Andy Dalton took over as Carolina's signal-caller in Week 3, the 28-year-old has done as such in 3-of-4 contests and is the PPR WR5 over that stretch. He'll look to keep it rolling in an enticing Week 7 road matchup against the Washington Commanders. Their defense has registered just one interception on the season and entered Week 6 tied with the Panthers for the most passing touchdowns let up to opposing offenses (11).
