Former Kansas City Chiefs safety Justin Reid reached an agreement on Tuesday with the New Orleans Saints on a three-year, $31.5 million deal that includes $22.25 million fully guaranteed, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Prairieville, Louisiana, native will be returning home after spending the last three years with the Chiefs. He played his first four seasons with the Houston Texans after they took him in the third round (68th overall) in the 2018 NFL draft. The 28-year-old defensive back has been solid in all seven of his NFL seasons with 80-plus total tackles in five of his seven campaigns. He played a critical role in helping the Chiefs make it to three straight Super Bowls and recorded 265 tackles (194 solo), four sacks, three interceptions, 23 pass breakups and a forced fumble in his three years in KC. Reid will be a starter in New Orleans alongside former Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu.

The Dallas Cowboys agreed to a one-year deal worth $3 million with free-agent defensive end Payton Turner on Tuesday, sources tell ESPN Dallas' Todd Archer. Turner will receive $2 million guaranteed. Payton, the former 28th overall pick in the first round in 2021 by the New Orleans Saints out of Houston, played in a combined 15 games for the Saints in his first three NFL seasons due to injuries. However, the 26-year-old pass-rusher stayed healthy in 2024 and had 21 tackles (10 solo), two sacks, four pass breakups and two forced fumbles in 16 games (no starts). The Cowboys will be hoping their defensive coaches will be able to get more out of a player that has had just five sacks in 31 career games in his first four years in the league. Turner will likely be a rotational pass-rusher for Dallas and won't be on the IDP radar.

The Atlanta Falcons are signing former San Francisco 49ers pass-rusher Leonard Floyd on Tuesday to a one-year deal worth $10 million, sources tell NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. After being released by the 49ers on Tuesday, Floyd will come home, as he went to the University of Georgia and is a Chauncey, Georgia, native. The 32-year-old veteran joins a Falcons team that is in desperate need of a pass rush after they ranked near the bottom of the league in sacks in 2024. Floyd, the former ninth overall pick by the Chicago Bears in 2016, has at least 8.5 sacks in each of the last five seasons, including double-digit sacks twice. He has also played in at least 16 games in each year since 2018. Over the last five seasons, Floyd has totaled 48 sacks in 84 games (83 starts), so it's a big addition to Atlanta's D-line. In his lone season in San Fran in 2024, Floyd had 42 tackles, 8.5 sacks and eight tackles for loss in 17 starts.

Dynasty | The Saints have re-signed tight end Juwan Johnson to a three-year deal. Dynasty Analysis: Johnson had a solid season with 50 catches for 548 yards and three touchdowns last year. While it seems he has a ceiling as a TE2, he's also fairly reliable. Going back to New Orleans should provide some stability to his value, especially if Taysom Hill doesn't return. Johnson should remain on dynasty rosters and serve as a starter for dynasty teams lacking a truly elite option at the position.

Pass-rusher Anthony Nelson re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday for two years and $10 million, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Nelson's new deal can max out at $12 million through incentives. Nelson was originally drafted by the Buccaneers in the fourth round (107th overall) in 2019 out of Iowa, and he's spent all six of his NFL seasons in Tampa. The 28-year-old linebacker will return to head coach Todd Bowle's defense for another two years after recording 40 total tackles (25 solo) for the second straight season. He added four sacks, six tackles for loss, 13 QB hits, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 17 regular-season games (six starts). Because Nelson isn't an every-down linebacker, he's off the fantasy radar, but he's been a key player for the Bucs over the years and has 17.5 sacks since 2021.

The New Orleans Saints agreed to terms on an undisclosed one-year deal to re-sign wide receiver Dante Pettis on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Pettis began the 2024 season with the Chicago Bears before being released in September with an injury settlement. He eventually latched onto the Saints' practice squad before becoming a part of their offense late in the season. The 29-year-old finished his sixth year in the NFL with 12 receptions on 28 targets for just 120 yards and one touchdown in eight starts. The former second-round pick (44th overall) by the San Francisco 49ers in 2018 out of the University of Washington had his best season in his rookie year, when he had 27 catches for 467 yards and five touchdowns on 45 targets in 12 games (seven starts). Pettis will look for a bigger role in his first full season in New Orleans but will most likely have a small role behind Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed.

The Washington Commanders agreed to terms with free-agent safety Will Harris on a two-year, $8 million deal on Tuesday, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The deal has a maximum value of $10 million. The former third-round pick (81st overall) by the Detroit Lions in 2019 out of Boston College will head to the NFC East after spending the 2024 campaign with the New Orleans Saints. Harris started 13 games a year ago and finished with 74 tackles (54 solo), an interception and five pass breakups. He will bring some experience to a young Washington secondary and will help make up for the loss of safety Jeremy Chinn, who joined the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency. In his six NFL seasons, Harris has a total of 320 tackles (228 solo), 1.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss, three interceptions, 19 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 94 games (53 stars).

The New Orleans Saints re-signed tight end Juwan Johnson to a three-year deal worth over $30 million, sources tell FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz. Johnson was one of the top tight ends available on the open market this offseason and will return to the Saints after a career-best 50-548-3 line in 17 games (five starts) in his fifth year in the league in 2024. The 28-year-old can make as much as $34.5 million and will receive $21.25 million guaranteed. Even though Johnson had a career year with the Saints last year, he finished as the TE17 in half-point PPR scoring. The good news is that Johnson will return to the only team he's played for in his five NFL seasons and will continue working with veteran quarterback Derek Carr in new head coach Kellen Moore's system. The bad news is that Johnson will likely continue to be inconsistent from a fantasy perspective on a weekly basis as a TE2.

The Washington Commanders are re-signing running back Jeremy McNichols to an undisclosed one-year deal on Tuesday, a source tells ESPN's John Keim. Although McNichols wasn't on the fantasy radar at all last year in his first year in D.C., he was a valuable member of the team's RB room as a backup for his blitz pickups while also contributing a career-high 267 rushing yards and a career-high four rushing touchdowns on 55 carries over 17 regular-season games (one start). He also had nine catches for 27 yards and added nine yards and a touchdown on five carries in three playoff games. With both Brian Robinson Jr. and Austin Ekeler returning to the Commanders' backfield in 2025, McNichols will open the year as the No. 3 RB and will have a bigger role on special teams as a return man. The 29-year-old has only 625 rushing yards and five rushing TDs on 145 carries over seven NFL seasons.

The New Orleans Saints have reworked the contract of veteran safety Tyrann Mathieu, keeping him with the team for the 2025 NFL season. Mathieu's salary will be lowered in 2025 against the cap. The Honey Badger began his career as a third-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals out of LSU and had stints with the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs before spending the last three seasons with New Orleans. Dallas Cowboys wide receiver/return specialist KaVontae Turpin is signing back with the Dallas Cowboys on a three-year, $18 million deal, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. The 28-year-old was recently given a second-round tender that would pay him $5.38 million in 2025 but has now agreed to the new deal. Turpin went undrafted in 2019 out of TCU and spent four different alternative leagues before signing with Dallas in 2022. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2022 and 2024 and has a first-team All-Pro nod for his work as a return specialist in 2024. Overall, Turpin has returned 60 punts for 569 yards and one touchdown and returned 58 kickoffs for 1,704 yards and a score in 50 career games. As a receiver, he's hauled in 44 passes for 556 yards and five touchdowns. Turpin plays a valuable role for Dallas, but he's unlikely to be on the fantasy football radar since he's primarily a special teamer.

Jones is back on the radar a bit in dynasty leagues now as it looks like the Colts may be accepting the fact Richardson just may not be the player they thought they drafted.

Chuba Hubbard took his job and simply performed better. Now 27, Sanders is going to have to settle for backup job somewhere, but his game tape over the past two seasons isn't very impressive. He may actually find it difficult to land a roster spot. At this point, he's waiver wire material in dynasty leagues.

Dynasty Analysis: The signing of Jones (and the amount of the contract he got) is clearly going to create an open competition at quarterback for the Colts. Richardson needs to get better in a hurry and is reportedly spending the off-season working on his mechanics. The Colts are growing impatient here and now have a bona fide backup plan should he fail. Richardson is apparently embracing the news and wants to rise to the challenge. His ADP is going to fall with Jones in tow and this would be the time to buy low in a dynasty league should you still believe he's going to be a franchise quarterback.

Fulton has the chance to make as much as $20.5 million through incentives. In his lone season with the Chargers, the 26-year-old defensive back had a career-best 51 tackles (39 solo), one interception and seven pass breakups in 15 regular-season games (14 starts). He will stay in the AFC West and join a Chiefs secondary that was already one of the best in the NFL in 2024 under defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. Fulton was a second-round pick (61st overall) by the Tennessee Titans in 2020 out of LSU and spent the first four years of his career with the Titans before joining L.A. last year. He has 201 career tackles (155 solo), one sack and five interceptions in 57 games (51 starts).
