Lions CBs Terrion Arnold, Ennis Rakestraw Jr. out vs. Colts

Sat Nov 23 6:54pm ET
Field Level Media

The Detroit Lions will play without two high draft picks in rookie cornerbacks Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw Jr. while getting back veteran Emmanuel Moseley against the host Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Arnold was downgraded Saturday from questionable to out because of a groin injury. He was limited at practice on Thursday and participated in a full practice on Friday.

The Lions drafted Arnold with the 24th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Alabama. Arnold, 21, has started all 10 games and has 38 tackles and six passes defended.

Rakestraw (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve after not practicing all week. He already had been ruled out for Sunday's game.

Detroit picked Rakestraw in the second round (61st overall) out of Missouri. He has played in eight games and has six tackles. Rakestraw, 22, has played on 46 defensive snaps (8 percent) and 95 special teams snaps (42 percent).

Moseley had full practice sessions all week and was activated from injured reserve on Saturday but was listed as questionable for Sunday.

The 28-year-old is in his second season with Detroit and appeared in one game last season before going on IR in October 2023. He was placed on IR on Aug. 27 with a designation to return.

Moseley played from 2018-22 for the San Francisco 49ers and had 162 tackles, four interceptions -- one returned for a touchdown -- and 33 passes defensed in 46 games (33 starts).

Detroit elevated linebacker David Long on Saturday for game day. Long, 28, signed with the practice squad on Tuesday after the Miami Dolphins released him on Nov. 13. He had started six of eight games for the Dolphins this season and had 38 tackles.

In other Lions news, the NFL fined wide receiver Jameson Williams $19,697 for unsportsmanlike conduct for making an obscene gesture during a touchdown celebration in last Sunday's 52-6 home win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the NFL Network reported Saturday.

Williams, 23, scored on a 65-yard pass from Jared Goff with 12:55 remaining in the third quarter.

Bender's Starts/Sits: Week 12

Player Notes
Dyami Brown Nov 24 8:40am CT
Dyami Brown

Washington Commanders wide receiver Dyami Brown has struggled to make a significant impact throughout the first few months of the season. Last week, Brown hauled in one of his two targets for four yards in the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 25-year-old has fallen on the depth chart and has seen less than 50 percent of the offensive snaps in six straight games. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for help with the Commanders healthy at wideout right now. Brown is unlikely to have much of an impact against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12.

Aaron Rodgers Nov 24 8:30am CT
Aaron Rodgers

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was recently in discussions to be benched or possibly placed on the injured reserve. It sounds like the Jets are done with the Rodgers experiment in New York. The feeling sounds mutual as Rodgers as expressed interest in playing for another team in 2025. The 40-year-old has 2,442 passing yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions heading into Week 12. It has been a disaster of a season for the Jets as they were expected to be legitimate playoff contenders. It sounds like the organization would like to wipe the slate clean and move on from Rodgers. Now, it remains to be seen if any team would be willing to add the former MVP in 2025.

Daniel Jones Nov 24 7:40am CT
Daniel Jones

Quarterback Daniel Jones, who is expected to clear waivers and become a free agent on Monday, will likely pursue signing a one-year deal with a contender rather than marketing himself to quarterback-needy teams that have already been eliminated from the playoff hunt, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Specifically, Schefter mentioned the Ravens and Vikings as the two teams most likely to sign him, but he also clarified that there are additional teams in the mix. Regardless of where he signs, it sounds like Jones will be the backup, offering valuable depth in case a starter gets injured.

Noah Fant Nov 24 7:30am CT
Noah Fant

The Seattle Seahawks believe "it'll be close" for tight end Noah Fant (groin, oblique) to play in Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals. He had been listed as questionable, and although he's making progress, the fantasy managers could be forced to pivot to a different fantasy starter currently on their bench. If Fant misses another game, A.J. Barner will step up as Seattle's top tight end.

Brock Purdy Nov 24 7:30am CT
Brock Purdy

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 12, but the team believes he'll be able to play next weekend against the Buffalo Bills. Purdy's progress was inconsistent earlier this week, and the team did think he'd be able to suit up against the Green Bay Packers before ruling him out. Fantasy managers should expect all Niners playmakers to take a step back in terms of fantasy production. Meanwhile, interim starter Brandon Alle will rank as a low-end QB2.

Malik Nabers Nov 24 7:20am CT
Malik Nabers

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (groin) is expected to play in Week 12 despite being listed as questionable, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Nabers is slated to face off against the New York Giants on Sunday. He has appeared in eight games this season, catching 61 passes for 607 yards and three touchdowns. Fantasy managers should treat him as a high-end fantasy WR2 despite potential lingering effects from his groin issue this week.

Jonathon Brooks Nov 24 7:20am CT
Jonathon Brooks

Carolina Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks (knee) will not be on a pitch count as he makes his NFL debut, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The rookie played exceptionally well in college but has not yet taken a snap at the pro level. Even though he's expected to have a full workload this week, Brooks is not a dependable fantasy starter quite yet. Chuba Hubbard will lead Carolina's backfield on Sunday.

Dare Ogunbowale Nov 24 12:30am CT
Dare Ogunbowale

Houston Texans running back Dare Ogunbowale hasn't done much to benefit fantasy managers during the 2024-25 campaign. With Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce both missing time this season due to injury, Ogunbowale had a chance to get involved, even if it was only for a game or two. Yet, that didn't happen, with the 30-year-old amassing only 25 carries for 68 yards this season. To be fair, he did have a receiving touchdown in the Week 4 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Still, outside of that, Ogunbowale has been non-existent from a fantasy standpoint. Keep him out of the starting line in Week 12 versus the Titans.

From RotoBaller

Adam Trautman Nov 24 12:20am CT
Adam Trautman

Denver Broncos tight end Adam Trautman currently sits atop the depth chart. However, that hasn't meant much, with the 27-year-old amassing only eight catches for 156 yards and a touchdown this season. Granted, Bo Nix had his share of struggles early on in the 2024-25 campaign. But with Nix turning it around over the last few months, most anticipated Trautman would be at least a little more productive. With that in mind, Trautman may make a few more trips to the end zone before the end of the regular season. Still, unless he shows he'll be involved consistently, he has no business being in any fantasy lineup for Week 12 versus the Las Vegas Raiders.

From RotoBaller

Mecole Hardman Nov 24 12:10am CT
Mecole Hardman

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. caught the pass from Patrick Mahomes that resulted in his team defeating the 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. Unfortunately, the 26-year-old hasn't been relevant since then, catching only 12 passes for 90 yards during the 2024-25 campaign. With the number of injuries on the roster this season, most assumed Hardman would have a chance to get more involved. However, that hasn't happened. Of course, he's been known to have some impressive fantasy showings over the years. Still, outside of his contributions as a member of the special teams unit, Hardman likely won't see much work in Week 12 versus the Carolina Panthers.

From RotoBaller

Luke McCaffrey Nov 24 12:00am CT
Luke McCaffrey

Washington Commanders wide receiver Luke McCaffrey hasn't had a productive inaugural year. In 11 appearances this season, the 2024 No. 100 overall pick has only 13 catches for 134 yards. Without a doubt, production like that won't earn him a spot in any fantasy lineup in Week 12 versus the Dallas Cowboys. But McCaffrey may get a chance to show his stuff, so he's worth stashing in dynasty formats in case he shows signs of life in the years ahead.

From RotoBaller

Olamide Zaccheaus Nov 23 11:50pm CT
Olamide Zaccheaus

Washington Commanders wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus has been quiet in his first season with the team. After a few productive outings while with the Atlanta Falcons, the 27-year-old has barely been involved in 2024-25, catching only 23 passes (34 targets) for 242 yards. In all fairness, Jayden Daniels is capable of making big gains using his legs. Terry McLaurin, Brian Robinson Jr., and Austin Ekeler also command a certain amount of attention whenever they step on the field. As a result, Zaccheaus doesn't have a place in fantasy lineups for Week 12 versus the Dallas Cowboys. That's not expected to change anytime soon unless someone goes down with an injury.

Mike Evans Nov 23 11:40pm CT
Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) is expected to suit up for Sunday's meeting with the New York Giants. The wideout has battled a hamstring injury, keeping him off the field for the Bucs' previous three contests. Tampa could certainly use him, with the team dropping four-straight games heading into Week 12. But help is likely on the way in the form of Evans, who had 26 catches for 335 yards and six touchdowns before going on the shelf. Without question, fantasy managers can get him back in the starting lineup despite the concern of a lightened workload. Evans' return should also have a positive impact on Baker Mayfield. On the other hand, his presence may not be good news for Cade Otton, who had 30 catches and three touchdowns in his last four appearances.

From RotoBaller

Keenan Allen Nov 23 10:53pm CT
Keenan Allen

Chicago Bears WR Keenan Allen (ankle), who is listed as questionable, expects to play against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12.

Fantasy Spin: Allen has been targeted on a regular basis, but he been limited to underneath routes and has yet to have more than 44 receiving yards in a game. At best, he is a low-upside flex option in deeper PPR formats.

Mike Evans Nov 23 10:53pm CT
Mike Evans

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (hamstring), who is listed as questionable, is expected to play against the New York Giants in Week 12, according to a source.

Fantasy Spin: Evans has been sidelined for the last three games with the injury, but he has six touchdowns in the seven games he has played. Plug him back in fantasy lineups in his return.

D'Andre Swift Nov 23 9:30pm CT
D'Andre Swift

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift (groin) intends to play this Sunday despite being deemed questionable due to a groin injury. The 25-year-old picked up the injury in last weekend's 20-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers. He'd kick off the week of practice tagged with a DNP but was able to log a full session on Friday and garners a questionable tag heading into their divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota has been a staunch test for opposing running backs this season -- allowing the fewest rushing yards and second-fewest yards per carry in the NFL (3.6). Additionally, the Vikings are letting up just 10.4 fantasy points to the position per contest, behind just the Kansas City Chiefs for the least in the league. It's good news that Swift should suit up, but fantasy managers will want to temper expectations against one of the league's top defensive rushing units. He's RotoBaller's PPR RB19 for this weekend's slate of action.

Will Dissly Nov 23 9:10pm CT
Will Dissly

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly is set for a strong performance in a Week 12 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. Dissly has been the overall fantasy TE15 since Week 6, and has finished in the TE1 rankings twice in that span. He's coming off an overall TE5 finish last week, and could see even more targets thrown his way with Hayden Hurst (hip) ruled out. The Ravens defense has been very kind to opposing tight ends, allowing the fourth-most receiving yards per game to the position. Dissly had been piling on the targets and catches lately, and in Week 11 he came up with his first touchdown of the season. Another one is far from unlikely in Week 12, making him a lower-end TE1 option with some upside in what should be a high-scoring contest.

From RotoBaller

Antonio Gibson Nov 23 9:10pm CT
Antonio Gibson

New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson can be left out of fantasy lineups in Week 12 when his team takes on the Miami Dolphins on the road. The 26-year-old had a solid role in New England's passing game for a few weeks earlier this season, but his snap totals have dwindled since then while backfield mate Rhamondre Stevenson gobbles up a large majority of the RB touches. The Dolphins have been a strong matchup for opposing running backs, averaging 18.6 fantasy points allowed per game to the position. Still, fantasy managers can safely avoid Gibson until his involvement in New England's offense drastically increases. He's RotoBaller's PPR RB45 in this week's rankings.

From RotoBaller

Cameron Dicker Nov 23 9:10pm CT
Cameron Dicker

Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker should have another strong performance in a Week 12 game against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. Dicker is coming off a strong performance in Week 11 where he ended up as the overall K3 for the week. He's been a top-15 fantasy kicker each week but one since Week 5, and should once again land in that range in what could be a high-scoring game. Dicker is one of the safer fantasy kickers this season, and he has nice upside most weeks as well.

From RotoBaller

Dallas Goedert Nov 23 9:03pm CT
Dallas Goedert

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert had seven catches on eight targets for 62 yards in Week 4 when WR DeVonta Smith did not play, and Smith has been ruled out for the Week 12 game against the Los Angeles Rams with a hamstring injury.

Fantasy Spin: As the third or fourth option in a run-heavy offense. Goedert's production has been sporadic this season, but the absence of Smith should result in more work for Goedert. He should be in the TE1 mix in Week 12.
