Panthers TE Ja'Tavion Sanders carted off field

Sun Nov 24 3:02pm ET
Field Level Media

Carolina Panthers tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders was taken to a hospital to be evaluated for a concussion following an injury late in the first half of Sunday's home game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

As Sanders was tackled near the sideline after a 10-yard reception, he was flipped upside down and landed directly on the top of his helmet. After receiving attention from the team's medical staff, he was strapped to a backboard and taken off the field on a cart with 40 seconds remaining in the half.

On the CBS broadcast following halftime, Panthers head coach Dave Canales said Sanders had movement in all his extremities, while extreme precaution was taken because of back tightness. CBS later reported he had a concussion.

The 21-year-old rookie out of Texas had a team-leading three receptions for the Panthers at the half for 49 yards. In 11 games this season, Sanders has 29 receptions for 302 yards and a touchdown.

Sanders was a fourth-round selection in the NFL draft in April.

Bender's Starts/Sits: Week 12

Player Notes
Christian Barmore Nov 24 4:00pm CT
Christian Barmore

The New England Patriots defense allowed 34 points, tallied two sacks, and delivered a fumble-recovery touchdown during Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins. While Miami's offense seemed to have its way against New England, the Patriots' defense was able to salvage this week's performance by scoring their first touchdown of the season. Christian Barmore and Brenden Schooler each logged a sack, Marte Mapu forced a fumble, and Christian Gonzalez tallied the scoop-and-score touchdown. New England could be a fringe top-12 fantasy defense next week against the Indianapolis Colts.

Nico Collins Nov 24 4:00pm CT
Nico Collins

Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins looked like his pre-injury self on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, hauling in five passes for 92 yards and a touchdown in a 32-27 loss. The big receiver scored on a five-yard connection with quarterback C.J. Stroud in the second quarter, his first since returning from injured reserve. Houston targeted the No. 1 receiver nine times, which led the team, but had an overall frustrating day on offense and compiled just 40 yards on the ground. Collins continues to be the top option for the passing game, however, and faces an excellent matchup in Week 13 against Jacksonville.

Sam Darnold Nov 24 4:00pm CT
Sam Darnold

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold completed 22-of-34 passes for 330 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 30-27 victory over the Chicago Bears. Minnesota was up 24-10 at the end of the third quarter before Chicago came storming back to score 17 fourth-quarter points and tie the game at 27 a piece, sending it to OT. The Bears would get the first possession in the extra quarter but ultimately punt it away, setting up the 27-year-old to orchestrate a 12-play, 83-yard, game-winning drive. Darnold's passing yardage total was a new season-high, and it was the third time this season he'd finish an outing with no turnovers. After a few down weeks, the USC product has turned it around, tossing for 576 yards and four touchdowns over his last two contests. He and the Vikes will get a softer matchup in Week 13 when they host the visiting Arizona Cardinals.

Joe Mixon Nov 24 4:00pm CT
Joe Mixon

The Tennessee Titans put the clamps on the Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon, holding him to just 22 yards and no touchdowns on 14 carries and pulling off a 32-27 upset. The veteran running back had his lowest rushing output of the season, but did salvage some fantasy value by catching five of six targets for 23 yards. Houston's offensive line had a brutal showing against a talented Tennessee line, and the Texans rushed for just 40 yards as a team. Fortunately for the Texans and fantasy managers who roster Mixon, the Texans are at Jacksonville in Week 13.

Jaleel McLaughlin Nov 24 3:50pm CT
Jaleel McLaughlin

Denver Broncos running back Jaleel McLaughlin (knee) exited during the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He is officially questionable to return. Local media spotted McLaughlin testing his knee on the sideline in hopes of returning to the contest. At the time of his departure, he had two carries for 29 rushing yards. Javonte Williams and Audric Estime will lead the Denver backfield until McLaughlin can return.

Dalton Schultz Nov 24 3:50pm CT
Dalton Schultz

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz caught both of his targets for 20 yards in a 32-27 loss to Tennessee. For fantasy managers, the bigger concern was that he was out-targeted by rookie tight end Cade Stover, who drew four targets and caught a touchdown, which Schultz has yet to do this season. The Houston offense in general struggled to establish much of a rhythm, as Tennessee's dominant defensive line held the Texans to just 40 rushing yards. The veteran tight end will face a more favorable matchup next week, however, as Houston travels to take on the slumping Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tank Dell Nov 24 3:40pm CT
Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell caught just three passes Sunday but turned them into 72 receiving yards in a 32-27 loss to Tennessee. The second-year receiver drew five targets, which ranked second on the team in a surprising defeat to a division rival. Houston rushed for a meager 40 yards against the Titans, which put the offense behind the chains for a large portion of the day. Dell and the Texans' up-and-down offense will look for a better day when they take on the struggling Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13.

Cade Stover Nov 24 3:40pm CT
Cade Stover

Houston Texans tight end Cade Stover finished with three catches for 26 yards on four targets and caught his first NFL touchdown on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. It was an all-Ohio State connection, as quarterback C.J. Stroud found the rookie tight end for a 19-yard score in the first quarter. The 24-year-old tight end has been a secondary option in the Texans' offense, but he's also been targeted nine weeks in a row and begun to cut into starter Dalton Schultz's receiving workload. Stover will look for more involvement as Houston travels to Jacksonville in Week 13.

Will Levis Nov 24 3:30pm CT
Will Levis

Despite a 32-27 home loss to Tennessee, the Houston Texans defense/special teams put together a big fantasy day with eight sacks, three turnovers, and another defensive touchdown. The Texans, who also scored last week against Dallas, found the end zone Sunday when safety Jimmie Ward nabbed a pass from Titans quarterback Will Levis and returned it 65 yards for a score. The Texans harassed Levis all day and also recovered two fumbles, but it wasn't quite enough in the defeat. Houston will travel to last-place Jacksonville in Week 13.

Kalif Raymond Nov 24 2:50pm CT
Kalif Raymond

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond (foot) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. He finishes Week 12 with one target, zero catches, and 30 punt return yards. There is concern that Raymond could require an extended absence, but we should get more info and confirmation on his status following the conclusion of Sunday's game. Tim Patrick and Allen Robinson will earn more snaps in their depth roles behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.

From RotoBaller

M.J. Stewart Nov 24 2:40pm CT
M.J. Stewart

Houston Texans safety Jalen Pitre (shoulder) has been downgraded to out and will not return Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. The 25-year-old registered one tackle prior to exiting, so he now has 65 tackles, one forced fumble, and one interception in 2024. Jimmie Ward and M.J. Stewart will earn more opportunities for the duration of Pitre's absence.

Brock Purdy Nov 24 2:30pm CT
Brock Purdy

San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams (ankle) is officially inactive for Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers. He had been listed as questionable and will ultimately miss his first game of the 2024 season. San Francisco finds itself heavily shorthanded against Green Bay with Williams joining Brock Purdy (shoulder) and Nick Bosa (hip, oblique) on the 49ers' list of inactive players. Jaylon Moore will likely start at left tackle in Williams' absence.

Brian Robinson Jr. Nov 24 2:20pm CT
Brian Robinson Jr.

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (ankle) exited Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys and is officially questionable to return. This is the second time he has exited the game, as well as the second time he has been listed as questionable. Robinson did return after exiting the first time, but it remains to be seen whether this apparent re-aggravation of the injury forces him out for the rest of the contest. At the time of his departure, Robinson had 13 rushing yards and 11 receiving yards. Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols will lead Washington's backfield for the duration of Robinson's absence.

Noah Fant Nov 24 2:20pm CT
Noah Fant

Seattle Seahawks tight end Noah Fant (groin) is officially inactive for Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals. He had been listed as questionable, and while it seemed like there was a chance he'd play, the Seahawks will ultimately hold him out for at least one more game. A.J. Barner will operate as the Seahawks' top tight end in Fant's absence. Barner is averaging 5.5 targets, three catches, and 21 yards per game when filling in for Fant.

Harrison Bryant Nov 24 2:20pm CT
Harrison Bryant

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Harrison Bryant (ankle) registered two limited practices before the weekend and picked up a questionable tag. He was since ruled inactive before their late-afternoon kickoff. Bryant was getting some extra snaps with fellow tight end Michael Mayer out for a while, but it looks like that will flip-fop with Mayer back on the field. Brock Bowers remains the TE1 though, so he'll see the bulk of the snaps.

From RotoBaller

David Montgomery Nov 24 2:20pm CT
David Montgomery

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery (shoulder) exited during the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. He is officially questionable to return. At the time of his departure, he had 37 rushing yards, 36 receiving yards, and a touchdown. While losing a player of Montgomery's caliber can be crushing, the Lions are still in a good position with Jahmyr Gibbs leading their backfield. Gibbs has 69 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns so far Sunday, and he'll continue to handle a heavy workload regardless of whether Montgomery checks back into the contest.

Ja'Tavion Sanders Nov 24 2:20pm CT
Ja'Tavion Sanders

Carolina Panthers tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders (neck) has been ruled out for the remainder of Week 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He suffered a scary upper-body injury during the first half that required him to be carted to the locker room on a stabilizing backboard. Unsurprisingly, the Panthers determined that Sanders would not be able to return. They are taking him to the hospital for further evaluation, and we'll likely get some sort of update on his status postgame. Sanders finished Week 12 with three catches for 49 yards. Assuming he's unable to play in Week 13, Tommy Tremble will step up as the Panthers' primary tight end.

Zamir White Nov 24 2:10pm CT
Zamir White

Las Vegas Raiders running back Zamir White (quadriceps) has been deemed inactive, as expected, for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. His backfield mate, Alexander Mattison (ankle), was also ruled inactive. Ameer Abdullah and Dylan Laube will be the starting backfield for this matchup against a tougher defensive unit.

From RotoBaller

Jordan Jackson Nov 24 2:10pm CT
Jordan Jackson

Denver Broncos defensive lineman Zach Allen (heel) has been ruled inactive for Week 12's contest against the Las Vegas Raiders. Allen is tied for the third-most sacks on the team with 5.0 and has the most tackles for loss with 12. While he watches from the sidelines, Jordan Jackson is the next man up on the depth chart while John Franklin-Myers will be even more important.

From RotoBaller

Alexander Mattison Nov 24 2:00pm CT
Alexander Mattison

Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison (ankle) has been ruled inactive for Week 12's game against the Denver Broncos. His ankle issue proved to be too much as he was already doubtful heading into Sunday. Zamir White (quadriceps) was also deemed inactive so that leaves Ameer Abdullah and Dylan Laube as the backfield duo in this contest.
