Browns LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (neck) carted off vs. Ravens

Sun Oct 27 5:35pm ET
Field Level Media

Browns linebacker and leading tackler Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was carted off the field with a neck injury during Cleveland's 29-24 win over the visiting Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Owusu-Koramoah, 24, was hurt during the third quarter after colliding with Baltimore running back Derrick Henry. ESPN reported that Owusu-Koramoah was evaluated at a nearby hospital and has movement in all extremities.

Henry's right shoulder barreled into Owusu-Koramoah's head and neck area on a 10-yard run with less than a minute remaining in the third quarter. Owusu-Koramoah immediately went down and stayed on the ground as medical trainers tended to him for several minutes.

He was placed on a backboard and raised a fist to the crowd as he was carted off with the Browns leading 20-17.

Owusu-Koramoah had seven tackles on Sunday before exiting, pushing his team-leading total to 61. The fourth-year veteran out of Notre Dame posted a career-high 101 tackles in 16 games (13 starts) last season and made his first Pro Bowl.

Cleveland also lost cornerback Denzel Ward (concussion) during the third quarter. Ward has now sustained six documented concussions across his seven NFL seasons.

Jameis Winston connected with Cedric Tillman for the game-winning, 38-yard touchdown with 59 seconds left as the Browns (2-6) halted a five-game skid.

Bender's Starts/Sits: Week 8

Player Notes
Romeo Doubs Oct 27 4:50pm CT
Romeo Doubs

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs put up solid production in the Packers' 30-27 victory on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Doubs led the Packers' pass-catchers in targets (6) as he caught three of those for 72 yards. Jordan Love (groin) left the game early in the third quarter, leaving backup quarterback Malik Willis to orchestrate the offense. All of Doubs' targets came with Love in the game, as the Packers opted to employ a run-heavy approach for the rest of the game as Willis only had five pass attempts in the game. Doubs has been plenty involved in the offense as of late and that should continue as the Packers host the Detroit Lions in Week 9. Consider Doubs and low-end WR3 option in fantasy if Love is able to play in Week 9.

Denzel Ward Oct 27 4:40pm CT
Denzel Ward

Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward (head) was diagnosed with a concussion, the sixth documented case of his career. The veteran exited Sunday's win over the Ravens, so his status for Week 9 against the Chargers is up in the air. But considering he most recently suffered a concussion in the summer, the team will likely be extremely cautious before he's permitted to get back on the field.

Josh Jacobs Oct 27 4:40pm CT
Josh Jacobs

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs had a huge day in the Packers' 30-27 victory on the road in Jacksonville against the Jaguars. Jacobs took 25 carries and turned them into 127 rushing yards and two touchdown scores on the afternoon. Kicking off the scoring on the day was Jacobs with a three-yard touchdown plunge early in the first quarter. Jacobs put the Packers in the lead at the end of the third quarter with a 38-yard score, his longest run of the season. He also added one reception for -2 yards on two targets. With Jacobs and the Packers hosting the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions in Week 9, Jacobs should be considered a low-end RB1 in fantasy for the matchup.

Jordan Love Oct 27 4:30pm CT
Jordan Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (groin) will undergo further testing on Monday. The signal-caller injured his groin in Sunday's win over the Jags, and he'd finish the day by throwing for 196 yards and a pick off 14-for-22 passing. Considering Love has battled an injury already this season, any more absences wouldn't be an ideal scenario for fantasy managers. With that in mind, if Love can't go for the NFC North clash with the Lions, Malik Willis would operate under center. Of course, Willis isn't nearly as reliable, so he'd be hard to trust from a fantasy standpoint.

Anthony Richardson Oct 27 4:20pm CT
Anthony Richardson

The Houston Texans D/ST turned in a decent performance on Sunday against Indianapolis, compiling five sacks and two turnovers in a 23-20 victory. The Texans lost Colts receiver Josh Downs for a 69-yard touchdown in the first half, but otherwise stymied the Indianapolis passing game. Houston held Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson to a woeful 10-for-32 passing and coaxed him into two turnovers, an interception and a fumble on the last play of the game. The Texans will look for a similar effort in Week 9 against the New York Jets.

Mike Gesicki Oct 27 4:20pm CT
Mike Gesicki

Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki finished Sunday's matchup with the Eagles by catching seven of his eight targets for 73 yards. With Tee Higgins (quadriceps) ruled out ahead of this one, most assumed Andrei Iosivas would benefit the most. However, that wasn't the case, with Gesicki leading his team in receiving yards to end the week. Unfortunately, his efforts weren't enough to get the Bengals to .500. Without question, Gesicki will be trending after his performance in Week 8. But unless Higgins is ruled out for the Week 9 clash with the Raiders, Gesicki isn't the safest fantasy option.

Dalton Schultz Oct 27 4:20pm CT
Dalton Schultz

Houston Texans tight end Dalton Schultz had a season-best 52 receiving yards on four catches in a 23-20 win against the Indianapolis Colts. The Texans targeted the big tight end six times, which was tied for second on the team. The Stanford product could temporarily assume an even bigger role in the Houston passing game, as receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) left the game with a non-contact injury. The Texans are currently without top receiver Nico Collins (hamstring), who is on injured reserve. Fantasy managers will have to monitor injury statuses ahead of Schultz and the Texans taking on the New York Jets in Week 9.

Tank Dell Oct 27 4:20pm CT
Tank Dell

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell found the end zone on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, the highlight of a day that included four catches for 35 yards. The second-year receiver caught all four of his targets, and unlike last week, hauled in a red-zone pass from quarterback C.J. Stroud for a seven-yard touchdown. Elsewhere, fellow wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) left the game with what appeared to be a serious injury. Top receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) is currently on injured reserve, so fantasy managers will have to monitor Houston's injury reports this week. Dell and the Texans take on the New York Jets in Week 9.

Devonte Wyatt Oct 27 4:20pm CT
Devonte Wyatt

The Green Bay Packers' defense and special teams' unit produced two turnovers in their 30-27 victory on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Packers were decent, but not spectacular as the team could only muster one quarterback sack of Trevor Lawrence on the afternoon. The team did get back into the turnover column after being shut out in Week 7 against the Texans. Safety Xavier McKinney notched his NFL-leading sixth interception on the season in the second quarter and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper forced a sack and forced fumble leading defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt to scoop up Lawrence's fumble. With the Detroit Lions coming into down fresh off of a 52-point effort against the Titans, it's probably a good idea to bench the Packers as your fantasy defense for Week 9.

Joe Mixon Oct 27 4:20pm CT
Joe Mixon

Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon put together another productive fantasy day on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts by compiling 134 total yards, four catches, and a touchdown. He once again drew steady volume in the running game, turning 25 carries into 102 rushing yards, and he was second on the team with six targets. The veteran back had the possibility for even more, but lost a fumble inside the Colts' 10-yard line late in the fourth quarter, though the Texans still held on for a 23-20 victory. Mixon will look to keep up his good form when Houston visits the New York Jets in Week 9.

From RotoBaller

C.J. Stroud Oct 27 4:20pm CT
C.J. Stroud

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud returned to his efficient ways on Sunday against Indianapolis, completing 25 of 37 attempts for 285 yards and a touchdown in a 23-20 victory. The Ohio State product had no turnovers and completed passes to eight different receivers for Houston. Unfortunately, Stroud may be without another member of his talented receiver corps, as Stefon Diggs (knee) departed the game with a non-contact injury. Top target Nico Collins (hamstring) will be on injured reserve for at least another week. The second-year quarterback and the Texans will travel to play the New York Jets in Week 9.

From RotoBaller

Zack Moss Oct 27 4:10pm CT
Zack Moss

Cincinnati Bengals running back Zack Moss had five carries for 11 yards in Sunday's loss to Philadelphia. He added four catches for 28 yards. The 26-year-old began the 2024-25 campaign by finding the end zone in three of the team's first four contests. However, he's gone cold since then, with Chase Brown emerging as the Bengals' preferred rusher out of the backfield. At this point, Moss will need to turn things around before working his way back into fantasy lineups. Keep him on the bench in Week 9 against the Raiders, although he's still worth stashing for those with room to spare.

From RotoBaller

Ja'Marr Chase Oct 27 4:10pm CT
Ja'Marr Chase

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase amassed 54 yards off a game-high nine catches in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Tee Higgins (quadriceps) was sidelined for this one, resulting in Chase being targeted 11 times. Unfortunately, his efforts weren't good enough, with the Bengals ending Week 8 with a record of three wins and five losses. With that said, the former LSU Tiger now has seven touchdowns in the last six games. Keep him starting in week 9 against the visiting Raiders, although that goes without saying.

From RotoBaller

Tucker Kraft Oct 27 4:10pm CT
Tucker Kraft

Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft was very productive for the Packers as they were victorious on the road over the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-27. Kraft caught the only touchdown pass on the afternoon from Malik Willis, who entered the game following Jordan Love's exit with a groin injury. With 78 receiving yards, Kraft led the team on the receiving side in Week 8. The Packers' targets are typically spread out among many options, but Kraft has been a consistent contributor throughout the season for fantasy. With the Detroit Lions heading into town for a Week 9 NFC North showdown at the top of the division, consider Kraft a TE1 and as close to a must-start option as it gets at a weak tight end position.

From RotoBaller

Andrei Iosivas Oct 27 4:10pm CT
Andrei Iosivas

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas entered Sunday's game against the Eagles with high expectations after Tee Higgins (quadriceps) was ruled out. Unfortunately, the wideout couldn't make anything out of his afforded opportunity, finishing without a catch (three targets). Instead, it was Ja'Marr Chase and Mike Gesicki leading the way, with the duo combining for 16 receptions. Without question, Iosivas is more than capable of getting things done for fantasy managers. However, it just wasn't his week. With that said, Iosivas has flex potential in Week 9 against the Raiders. But if Higgins is back in the equation, Iosivas should be left on the bench.

From RotoBaller

Joe Burrow Oct 27 4:00pm CT
Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 234 yards, one touchdown, and one interception off 26-for-37 passing in Sunday's meeting with the Eagles. He added three carries for 15 yards. The Bengals were without Tee Higgins (quadriceps), who had three touchdowns in the previous three games. However, the signal-caller still had an acceptable showing, although his efforts couldn't bring his team to .500. Hopefully, Higgins will be healthy enough to return for the Week 9 matchup with the visiting Las Vegas Raiders. Still, even if Higgins isn't back on the field, Burrow should remain a starting fantasy option.

From RotoBaller

Brandon McManus Oct 27 4:00pm CT
Brandon McManus

Green Bay Packers kicker Brandon McManus was perfect on the day as the Packers won in Jacksonville against the Jaguars 30-27. McManus nailed all three of his field goal attempts on the afternoon, nailing kicks from 31, 36, and 24. That 24-yarder was the game winner for the Packers as they got down deep into Jaguars' territory thanks to a 51-yard reception by Jayden Reed and a short run by Chris Brooks where he got into first-down territory inside the five-yard line but slowed down before scoring. McManus also was perfect on the day with his extra point attempts as McManus converted all three. The Packers will host the division-leading Detroit Lions in Week 9, where McManus is a solid kicking streamer in a healthy offensive environment.

From RotoBaller

Chase Brown Oct 27 4:00pm CT
Chase Brown

Cincinnati Bengals running back Chase Brown had 32 yards off 12 carries in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. He added two catches for two yards. While Brown had trouble getting anything going on the ground, he at least found the end zone in Week 8, scoring off a four-yard run in the third quarter. Even more encouraging for Brown's fantasy managers, Zack Moss would finish this one with only five attempts. The 24-year-old has now had at least one touchdown in five of the Bengals' last six outings, keeping him a starting fantasy option in Week 9 versus the visiting Las Vegas Raiders.

From RotoBaller

Stefon Diggs Oct 27 3:30pm CT
Stefon Diggs

Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) exited during the second half of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts after suffering a serious-looking, non-contact injury. Although Diggs was able to walk off the field, he was eventually ruled out for the remainder of the contest. He finished Week 8 with five catches for 81 yards. With both Diggs and Nico Collins (hamstring) sidelined, the Texans could enter next week's game against the New York Jets with a receiving corps headlined by Tank Dell, Xavier Hutchinson, John Metchie, and Robert Woods. Fantasy managers will want to stay tuned for updates on Diggs' status and exactly how much time he'll miss.

From RotoBaller

Brian Thomas Jr. Oct 27 3:10pm CT
Brian Thomas Jr.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (chest) exited during the second half of Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers and is officially questionable to return. At the time of his departure, he had caught three of four targets for 60 yards and a touchdown. Thomas has been a major contributor in his rookie season, so his loss is bad news for the Jaguars' offense. With both Thomas and Gabe Davis (shoulder) injured, look for Christian Kirk, Parker Washington, and Tim Jones to step up as Jacksonville's top wide receivers.
