Rams WR Demarcus Robinson arrested on suspicion of DUI

Tue Nov 26 1:58am ET
Field Level Media

Hours after making a touchdown reception on "Sunday Night Football," Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, the California Highway Patrol announced Monday.

Per the police report, Robinson was driving a Dodge sedan in excess of 100 mph on US-101 at 5:13 a.m. on Monday in Woodland Hills, Calif.

Officers stated the Robinson showed "objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment." He was issued a citation before being released to "a responsible party," per the CHP.

The Rams did not make an immediate statement in the aftermath of the news, according to NFL.com.

Robinson caught a 2-yard scoring pass in the third quarter of the Rams' 37-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in Inglewood, Calif. His only other reception in the contest went for 13 yards.

The 30-year-old veteran is in his ninth NFL season, his second with the Rams. He has 26 receptions for 384 yards and six touchdowns through 11 games (all starts) this year.

The Chiefs selected Robinson in the fourth round of the 2016 draft out of Florida. He spent six years in Kansas City, helping the team win the Super Bowl after the 2019 season. Robinson played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2022.

In 141 career NFL games (62 starts), Robinson has 245 catches for 2,892 yards and 26 scores.

Player Notes
Jameson Williams Nov 26 9:00am CT
Jameson Williams

Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams will not face charges for an October traffic stop during which he possessed a gun without a valid concealed pistol license, according to ESPN's Eric Woodyard. "Case law is silent regarding the specific issue and the legislative intent of the concealed pistol license statute does not support charges under these facts," according to the Wayne County prosecutor's office (via Woodyard's ESPN article). Barring any unforeseen developments, Williams will be able to put this incident behind him and prepare for the final stretch of the NFL season. He has been productive as the Lions' No. 2 receiver, catching 29 passes for 602 yards and four touchdowns through nine games. He remains a weekly WR3/FLEX option.

Brandin Cooks Nov 26 1:03am CT
Brandin Cooks

Dallas Cowboys WR Brandin Cooks (knee) has a shot at playing in Week 13 against the New York Giants. He has been sidelined since Sept. 26 after suffering a knee injury in the first meeting on a Thursday night in Week 4 against the Giants.

Fantasy Spin: If Cooks is able to play on Thanksgiving, he could have some fantasy appeal in deeper leagues, but consider him nothing more than WR5 in most formats. He needs to prove his health in a full game before he can be trusted again. Remember, as he works his way back, his QB is now Cooper Rush, not Dak Prescott, so he has to build some rapport, too.

Jimmie Ward Nov 26 12:43am CT
Jimmie Ward

Houston Texans SS Jimmie Ward is expected to be plugged into the starting lineup in Week 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in place of the injured S Jalen Pitre (pectoral). Ward stepped in during the Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans after Pitre went down, and Ward recorded a 65-yard interception return for touchdown.

Demarcus Robinson

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested on suspicion of DUI on Monday morning after police officers pulled him over for traveling over 100 miles per hour, according to Clayton Holloway of NFL Media. Robinson's arrest came mere hours after his Rams lost to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. The veteran receiver caught two passes for 15 yards and a touchdown in the defeat. Following his arrest, he was cited and released to a responsible party. As of now, it's unclear if there will be any legal developments stemming from this incident. Fantasy managers should monitor Robinson's status ahead of Week 13 versus the New Orleans Saints.

Darius Robinson Nov 26 12:10am CT
Darius Robinson

Arizona Cardinals defensive lineman Darius Robinson (calf) is on track to make his NFL debut in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings, according to head coach Jonathan Gannon. Robinson has been sidelined since training camp. The rookie has not yet appeared in an NFL game, but it sounds like he's very close to being 100 percent. Robinson will provide a major boost to the Cardinals' defensive front, which has been particularly strong against the run so far in 2024.

Aidan O'Connell Nov 25 11:30pm CT
Aidan O'Connell

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell (thumb) will be designated to return from injured reserve on Tuesday, head coach Antonio Pierce told the media. The Purdue product has been sidelined since Week 7 after injuring his thumb while making contact with a defender. Prior to that point, he had completed 52 passes for 455 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions through parts of four games. O'Connell will likely claim the starting role upon his return given that the Raiders have gotten poor results from both Gardner Minshew II and Desmond Ridder lately. With that said, O'Connell isn't a major upgrade and should still be viewed as a low-end fantasy QB2, at best.

Tommy DeVito Nov 25 11:20pm CT
Tommy DeVito

New York Giants quarterback Tommy Devito (undisclosed) did not appear on the team's initial injury report for Week 13. DeVito was banged up during Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and had to leave the game for one play, but he returned to the contest and is now trending in the right direction for Thursday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. DeVito did struggle in his first start of the 2024 campaign, completing 21 of his 31 pass attempts for 189 yards, zero touchdowns, and zero turnovers. He took four sacks but did make up some ground with his 32 rushing yards. The 26-year-old ranks as a fantasy QB3 for Week 13, even with a favorable matchup against the Cowboys on tap.

Quentin Johnston Nov 25 11:20pm CT
Quentin Johnston

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston had a rough performance in a Week 12 loss against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. Johnston was targeted five times and came up with zero catches for zero yards. Several of the balls thrown his way were placed perfectly by quarterback Justin Herbert, but Johnston regressed to his rookie year drop issues, where passes thrown right at his chest in clearly open ground with no defenders nearby turn into incomplete passes. Johnston was expected to have a big game, as the Ravens defense has struggled all year against similar wide receivers, but QJ ended up with a zero. He's almost sure to do a little better in Week 13 when the Chargers take on the Atlanta Falcons.

Cameron Dicker Nov 25 11:20pm CT
Cameron Dicker

Los Angeles Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker had a big game on Monday Night Football in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens. He attempted five kicks and made all five of them, keeping the Chargers in the game while their offense was struggling to move the ball too far beyond midfield. Dicker made both of his extra point attempts and also made all three of his field goal tries. His field goal kicks were from 42, 52, and another 52 yards out. He remains one of the most consistent fantasy and real life kickers and should again be a top-10 option at the position in Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Ja'Tavion Sanders Nov 25 11:20pm CT
Ja'Tavion Sanders

Carolina Panthers tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders (neck) avoided a serious injury during Sunday's Week 12 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, according to an update from head coach Dave Canales. In the first half of Sunday's game, Sanders came down hard on his head and neck area. Medical personnel placed him on a stabilizing backboard and transported him to a local hospital for further evaluation. He was discharged the same day, and Canales said that the rookie tight end was back in the Panthers' facility on Monday. It's fair to assume Sanders' Week 13 availability is up in the air, but the good news is that he didn't suffer a serious injury and might be able to avoid a stint on Injured Reserve. Tommy Tremble would step up as the Panthers' primary tight end if Sanders needed to miss time.

Ladd McConkey Nov 25 11:10pm CT
Ladd McConkey

Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey led the team in catches and yards in a Week 12 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. McConkey was targeted six times, catching all six for 83 yards. McConkey and the Chargers offense came in with high expectations against a struggling Ravens secondary, but they were unable to get much going and didn't benefit from any real big plays. Still, the rookie wide out remained heavily involved and continues to look like quarterback Justin Herbert's favorite target. They'll take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.

From RotoBaller

Will Dissly Nov 25 11:10pm CT
Will Dissly

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Will Dissly made four catches in a Week 12 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Playing on Monday Night Football, Dissly was targeted four times, making the four catches for 47 yards. The Chargers ended up only completing 21 passes in this one, so Dissly was pretty heavily involved despite only the four grabs. He's been a key part of the Bolts offense since the bye week and should continue in that role in Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons. He's a high-floor, low-ceiling type of tight end who is best rostered in 2TE leagues.

From RotoBaller

Josh Palmer Nov 25 11:10pm CT
Josh Palmer

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer was heavily involved in a Week 12 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Despite the heavy involvement, he was unable to do much with it. He led the team with eight targets but made only three catches, totaling 38 yards. Palmer was used as a deep threat in this one but seemed completely unable to get any separation in the Ravens secondary, despite drawing one-on-one coverage several times. The Ravens came into this game as one of the worst defenses in the NFL against boundary wide receivers, but Palmer was still unable to put together a good game. He'll remain off the fantasy radar in Week 13 when the Chargers face the Atlanta Falcons.

Mark Andrews Nov 25 11:03pm CT
Mark Andrews

Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews finished with five receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown on five targets in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Chargers, while adding a 2-yard rushing attempt.

Fantasy Spin: Andrews started off slow, and fantasy managers remember those back-to-back games with goose eggs. Hopefully you stuck with him, as he has six touchdowns in the past seven outings. The yardage totals are still just OK, but he is averaging just about four grabs per game across the past eight outings, and he scores frequently. At tight end in fantasy football, that's TE1 production in most formats. The Ravens host the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13.

From TheHuddle

Justin Herbert Nov 25 11:00pm CT
Justin Herbert

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert disappointed in a Week 12 Monday Night Football loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Herbert attempted 36 passes, completing 21 of them for 218 yards. He took four sacks, losing 16 yards. He fumbled once, but it was recovered by the Chargers. He added four rushes for 29 yards on the ground, including a touchdown on a five-yard run in the first quarter. Herbert was ranked as one of the top quarterbacks this week since the Ravens defense has struggled all year against the pass, but he was unable to get anything consistent going. Some bad routes, bad calls, and bad drops didn't help. Herbert and the Bolts will face off against the Falcons in Week 13.

From RotoBaller

Gus Edwards Nov 25 11:00pm CT
Gus Edwards

Los Angeles Chargers running back Gus Edwards scored a touchdown against his former team the Baltimore Ravens in a Week 12 loss. Edwards ran the ball nine times, gaining just 11 yards total, but one of them was a one-yard plunge into the end zone in the fourth quarter. With J.K. Dobbins (knee) forced to exit the game and possibly looking at missing more time, Edwards could see a jump to the top of the depth chart before next week's game against the Atlanta Falcons. While he hasn't shown much burst at all this season, any lead back is worth fantasy consideration if that's where Edwards ends up.

Lamar Jackson Nov 25 10:43pm CT
Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson completed 16-of-22 passes for 177 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Chargers, while adding eight rushing attempts for 15 yards and a score.

Fantasy Spin: Jackson bounced back nicely after being limited to just one total score last time out in Pittsburgh. The Baltimore QB has managed three or more total touchdowns in three of the past four outings, and multiple scores in eight of the past 10 outings. He'll look to keep up the good work against the Philadelphia Eagles in a marquee matchup in Week 13.

From TheHuddle

Derrick Henry Nov 25 10:43pm CT
Derrick Henry

Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry registered 24 rushing attempts for 140 yards in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Chargers, and he was not targeted in the pass game.

Fantasy Spin: While Henry had no receptions or targets, even fantasy managers in PPR leagues can't complain. It was the first 100-yard rushing game since Week 9 against the Denver Broncos. It was also the first time he failed to score a touchdown of any kind. Still, fantasy managers expected a tough matchup against the Chargers, and he still piled up the points. He'll look to start a new scoring streak in Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

From TheHuddle

J.K. Dobbins Nov 25 9:50pm CT
J.K. Dobbins

Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) has been downgraded to out and won't return in the second half of the Monday night game against the Baltimore Ravens. Dobbins injured his knee in the first half and was seen going back into the locker room just before halftime. The 25-year-old tested out a brace on his injured knee on the sidelines but never made it back into the game. Before leaving, he had six rushing attempts for 40 yards and caught three of five targets for 19 yards. It was shaping up to be a pretty productive game for Dobbins against his former team. Gus Edwards and Hassan Haskins have taken over the backfield in the second half and would both be worth looking at off the waiver wire if Dobbins' injury is serious enough to put him in danger of missing the Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
