Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner (hamstring) ran the bases before Wednesday's game against the Boston Red Sox, which is one of the last major hurdles in his rehab program. The M's may not have provided enough run support for their starter to grab the win in Wednesday's walk-off triumph, but that doesn't change how good Miller was in this one. The 25-year-old former top prospect will bring a rock-solid 3.48 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with 80 strikeouts and 24 walks over 82 2/3 innings for Seattle into his next slated appearance against the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field on Monday. Miller has the potential to develop into a higher-end fantasy asset over time, but he needs to keep the hard contact down more consistently to reach the next level.

Tampa Bay Rays shortstop prospect Carson Williams (hand, wrist) left Wednesday's game for Double-A Montgomery in the second inning. Williams was hit on the right hand/wrist earlier in the contest and initially remained in the ballgame before being yanked. There is currently no update on the extent of the injury, but more should be known on Thursday. Per MLB Pipeline, Williams is the Rays' No. 2 prospect, and he has backed that up by hitting .295 with 10 homers, 27 RBI and 15 stolen bases in 49 games. At age 20, the Rays are in no rush to promote Williams, but pending his health, he could see a promotion to Triple-A Durham this summer with a potential big-league debut on tap for the 2025 campaign. Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Jose Soriano logged his second straight quality start in Wednesday's 8-3 victory over the Diamondbacks. The 25-year-old went eight innings, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five on his way to securing the win. Los Angeles Angels shortstop Zach Neto fell a triple shy of the cycle in Wednesday's 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks, going 3-for-5, including his eighth home run of the season. The 23-year-old also had two RBI and scored twice. After a slow start, Neto is coming off a month of May that saw him slash .284/.337/.477 with a .355 wOBA and 130 wRC+. He also lowered his K% from 30.6% in April to 17.9% in May. So far in June the K% is 18.9%, so he's still making contact despite the low .229 BA during the month, likely a result of an abnormally low .231 BABIP, so this three-hit game could be the beginning of a hot streak.

New York Yankees catcher Jose Trevino went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 11-5 win over the Royals. The home run was his sixth of the season, and the backstop now has 23 RBI, 17 runs scored, a .324 wOBA, and 112 wRC+. The 31-year-old has performed well when he's been in the lineup and has decidedly better numbers than Austin Wells, but they split time evenly (138 PA for Trevino, 132 for Wells) so for fantasy you probably prefer someone who gets more regular at-bats.

New York Mets outfielder Harrison Bader went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in Wednesday's 10-4 win over the Marlins. The home run was Bader's fourth of the season. He's now got a .266-4-25-23-8 line on the season but is hitting just .231 in June, albeit with two doubles and two home runs. The 30-year-old offers some multi-category appeal in deeper 14+ team leagues, but in shallow leagues, he should probably be left on the waiver wire.

Atlanta Braves catcher Sean Murphy is taking the day off for Thursday's series finale against the hosting Baltimore Orioles. In his place, Travis d'Arnaud will do the catching for right-hander Reynaldo Lopez and bat sixth against Orioles left-hander Cole Irvin. After making his first career All-Star appearance in 2023 in his first year in Atlanta, Murphy has struggled in just 12 games for the Braves this year. A pretty serious oblique strain kept him out for a large chunk of time early on, and he's gone just 5-for-42 (.119) with a home run and four RBI. Fantasy managers that invested in Murphy this year will be hoping he can get things going sooner than later. d'Arnaud has been much better, batting .245 (34-for-139) with five home runs and 21 RBI this year.

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitching prospect Jackson Ferris turned in another strong performance on Wednesday, where he tossed five shutout innings with six punchouts. He allowed just one hit and two free passes. This was a nice follow-up to the best start of the season he posted last week, where he struck out 10 batters across five one-run frames. Through his first look at High-A, Ferris has logged 52 innings with a 4.47 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and a 26:65 BB:K ratio. However, in his past four starts (20 innings), he holds a strong 2.21 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and a 7:26 BB:K ratio. The 20-year-old southpaw is ranked as the number six best prospect in the Dodger system on MLB Pipeline and is projected to reach the major in 2026. However, if he continues to dominate High-A batters, he could reach Double-A this summer which opens the door for a 2025 major league debut.

He got the third out with a strikeout and stayed on to pitch the ninth, delivering a 1-2-3 inning with two more strikeouts. The 33-year-old has served as the team's interim closer throughout the season while Jordan Romano (elbow) has served stints on the injured list. Garcia has now converted five of six save opportunities with a 1.98 ERA and a 12.18 K/9 rate in 27 1/3 innings of work. Garcia is the fantasy arm to roster from the Blue Jays' bullpen while Romano is on the IL.

Colorado Rockies relief pitcher Tyler Kinley escaped with his fifth save of the season in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Twins. Kinley entered the game to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning up by three. He allowed a leadoff double, got the first two outs on a line-out and a strikeout, allowed a two-run home run, and ended the game with another strikeout. The 33-year-old has picked up a save in each of his last three appearances. However, his 8.10 ERA, 4.73 BB/9 rate, and 2.36 HR/9 rate do not instill confidence. It seems like Kinley may be the preferred late-inning arm for the Rockies at the moment, but his other numbers make it difficult for fantasy managers to roster him except perhaps in the deepest of roto leagues.

New York Yankees catcher Austin Wells got in on the offensive action in Tuesday's 10-1 drubbing of the Royals. Wells went 2-for-4 with a single, a three-run home run, and a strikeout. The 24-year-old hit a fourth-inning Brady Singer fastball just over the center-field wall. Wells has been disappointing from a fantasy perspective this season, slashing just .211/.295/.325 with two HR and 10 RBI in 132 plate appearances. He showed power promise last season in limited action, but that has not carried over into 2024. He is also getting out-hit by his batterymate, Jose Trevino. Wells has plenty of time in dynasty leagues to develop further as a hitter, but he currently offers little fantasy value in re-draft leagues.

New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton continued his improved offensive June in Tuesday's 10-1 win over the Royals. Stanton went 2-for-4 with a single, a solo home run, two RBI, and a strikeout. He was also hit by a pitch. The 34-year-old veteran's season batting average sits at a disappointing .229, but he has put together his best month of the season to this point. Stanton is slashing .250/.341/.528 with three HR and nine RBI in 36 June at-bats. He is still hitting the ball extremely hard despite his age and now has 16 HR and 38 RBI on the season. He may not be the fantasy contributor he once was, but Stanton is worth a roster spot in at least roto leagues where he should provide HR, runs, and RBI hitting in the middle of a strong Yankees lineup.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zack Wheeler continued his stellar season in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Red Sox. Wheeler pitched seven innings, allowing one run on three hits and a walk with four strikeouts. The 34-year-old has rebounded after a relatively pedestrian 2023 season and is now 8-3 with a 2.16 ERA, a 9.75 K/9 rate, and a 2.77 BB/9 rate in 14 starts and 87 2/3 IP. Wheeler's ability to pitch deep into games and rack up strikeouts has made him a top fantasy option once again while being backed by one of baseball's best offenses. He will face a tough matchup in his next projected start at the Orioles but continues to be a must-start fantasy option.
