Ozzie Albies Sun Apr 13 8:10am CT

Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies hadn't recorded a home run since Opening Day until he took Edwin Uceta deep on Friday. Albies continued his power surge during Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. He was having a fairly quiet game until he blasted a solo home run off right-hander Hunter Bigge in the eighth inning. Albies would finish his day 2-for-4 with an RBI and a walk, and a stolen base. Fantasy managers can be hopeful for more performances like this from Albies going forward.

Ben Rice Sun Apr 13 8:00am CT

New York Yankees first baseman Ben Rice has been on a tear at the plate early in the season. He stayed hot at the plate during Saturday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Rice drew a walk and singled early in the game. In the sixth inning, Rice took right-hander Lou Trivino deeo for a solo homer to extend the lead. He finished the day 2-for-4 with a walk, homer, and two runs scored in the win. Rice is slashing an impressive .310/.431/.690 with four homers, five RBI in 13 games. He has been batting in the leadoff spot against right-handed pitching and it appears to be working well.

Spencer Torkelson Sun Apr 13 8:00am CT

Detroit Tigers first baseman Spencer Torkelson has been a nice surprise for this offense early in the season. Torkelson continued his success at the plate during Saturday's game against the Minnesota Twins. The 25-year-old smacked a two-run home run off Kody Funderburk in the sixth inning to help extend the lead. Torkelson would finish his day 2-for-3 with a homer, three RBI, and two runs scored in the victory. He's slashing .314/.419/.647 with four home runs and 10 RBI this season. He's red-hot right now so fantasy managers should take advantage of it while they can.

Wilmer Flores Sun Apr 13 7:50am CT

San Francisco Giants first baseman Wilmer Flores has been crushing the ball all over the park to begin the season. He continued his power surge during Saturday's game against the New York Yankees. Flores tied the game with a two-run home run off right-hander Will Warren in the second inning. He would later add on two more runs with a single in the sixth. Flores finished his day 2-for-4 with RBI in what would end up being an 8-4 loss. The veteran slugger is now slashing .275/.302/.267 with six home runs and 19 RBI this season. Flores has five hits and seven RBI over his last three games, so he's really picking up steam right now.

Luis Robert Sun Apr 13 7:40am CT

Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. tried to break out of his slump during Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox. He was fairly quiet until blasting a two-run home run in the sixth inning to tie the game. Robert would later steal a base and score the game-winning run in the ninth inning. It has been an ugly start for Robert, but he is tied for the MLB lead in steals with six. He has also collected a hit in four of his last five games. Hopefully, Robert is now trending in the right direction, so fantasy managers should continue to hold him.

Mason Miller Sun Apr 13 7:30am CT

Athletics relief pitcher Mason Miller was asked to hold a two-run lead versus the New York Mets on Saturday. The right-hander needed only 15 pitches to finish off this Mets lineup. He gave up a two-out single to Tyrone Taylor, but was able to work around it and record his fourth save of the season. Miller has worked five innings, allowing zero earned runs, three hits, and striking out nine batters. He's an elite closer that should be rostered in all fantasy formats.

    From RotoBaller

Michael Harris II Sun Apr 13 7:30am CT

Atlanta Braves outfielder Michael Harris II came up clutch for his team during Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Harris started out the game by singling and stealing a base. He was quiet the rest of the game until he blasted a two-run home run in the ninth inning off right-hander Cole Sulser. Harris has been off to a slow start this season, but he helped give his team the win on Saturday. Fantasy managers should keep holding him as Harris has all the potential to be a stud in fantasy baseball.

Luis Ortiz Sun Apr 13 2:15am CT

Guardians' SP Luis Ortiz recorded 10 strikeouts in 5.2 innings collecting the win in a 6-3 win over the Royals on Saturday, Apr. 12.

Jose Alvarado Sun Apr 13 1:40am CT

Philadelphia Phillies reliever Jose Alvarado picked up his third save of the season on Saturday, shutting down the St. Louis Cardinals to secure a 4-1 win. Alvarado struck out one in a perfect ninth inning. With Jordan Romano struggling early in the season and losing the closer role, Alvarado appears to finally be getting a crack at it. So far, he is making the most of it, pitching to a 1.23 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. Alvarado should be rostered in any leagues where saves matter at this point.

    From RotoBaller

Emilio Pagan Sun Apr 13 1:30am CT

Cincinnati Reds relief pitcher Emilio Pagan secured his fourth save of the season on Saturday, pitching a perfect ninth inning in the Reds' 5-;2 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. With closer Alexis Diaz (hamstring) sidelined, Pagan has stepped up as Cincinnati's primary ninth-inning option, converting all four of his save opportunities. He has allowed just one earned run over 7.1 innings, showcasing a 1.23 ERA and a 0.82 WHIP. With his role as the Reds' closer becoming more solidified, fantasy managers in need of saves should turn to Pagan if he is available. He should retain value until Diaz returns, and even then he could push for saves given Diaz's struggles last season.

    From RotoBaller

Bryan Woo Sun Apr 13 1:10am CT

Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Bryan Woo delivered a stellar performance on Saturday, tossing seven innings of one-run ball and earning his second win of the season in a 9-2 drubbing of the Texas Rangers. Woo allowed six hits and a walk while striking out seven. The 25-year-old now owns a stellar 2.84 ERA and 0.95 WHIP through three starts and is a must-start option in fantasy right now. His next start should come next week against the Blue Jays, and fantasy owners should have Woo in their lineups across the board for that one.

    From RotoBaller

Sean Murphy Sun Apr 13 1:00am CT

Atlanta Braves catcher Sean Murphy led his team to victory on Saturday, smashing two solo homers in a 5-4 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Murphy ended the day 2-for-4 with the pair of homers, two runs scored, and two RBI. He has shown his power since his return from the IL, knocking three homers in just four games. We have seen Murphy play at a high level for fantasy before, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him become a must-start catcher again. He is worth an add in deeper leagues and possibly some standard-size leagues as well.
