The Miami Marlins recalled right-hander Emmanuel Ramirez from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday.

In a corresponding move, right-hander Anthony Maldonado was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville.

Ramirez, 29, made his major-league debut April 28 with a scoreless inning against the Washington Nationals and ended up taking the mound on three consecutive days without giving up a run. He allowed just one hit in 3 1/3 innings over the stretch.

Maldonado, 26, also made his major league debut this season and went 0-1 with a 3.75 ERA and one save in 10 appearances (one start) for Miami.
