Athleticsoutfielder Lawrence Butler went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, two RBI, and a run scored in Sunday's 12-5 loss to the Rockies. The 6-foot-3 left-handed slugger, who signed a big off-season contract extension, got off to a slow start to begin the year, going 4-for-24 (.167) over the first seven games, but now has three consecutive multi-hit efforts during which time he is 7-for-14 (.500). The 24-year-old is now hitting .289 on the young season with four extra base hits, two RBI, six runs scored, one stolen base, and a fantastic 6:5 BB:K. It amounts to a .370 wOBA and a 142 wRC+ for the former sixth-round draft pick, who should continue to be a strong fantasy producer hitting atop the A's lineup.

Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle had a productive day at the plate in Sunday's 12-5 win over the Athletics, going 3-for-5 with a double, a solo home run, four RBI, and three runs scored. It is the second three-hit game of the season for the 26-year-old, and he's collected a hit in seven of nine games, now hitting .268 with five RBI and four runs scored on the young season. A 4.7 percent walk rate on the year (career 6.5 percent) has limited his ability to get on base, which also appears to have hindered his stolen base production, much to the chagrin of fantasy managers who were counting on that when they drafted thespeedster who owns a 91st-percentile sprint speed and swiped 30 bags in 2024. His next chance will come on Tuesday against the Brewers, however, the former fourth-round draft pick will face Freddy Peralta, whom he is 0-for-5 off of in his career with four strikeouts.

Houston Astros designated hitter Yordan Alvarez belted his first home run of the season on Sunday, a game-tying two-run blast in the ninth inning of the team's 9-7 win in extra innings. The left-handed slugger finished 2-for-4 on the day with three RBI and a run scored. The 27-year-old got off to a slow start, going 1-for-16 ( .063) over his first five games, but has picked up the pace, going 5-for-17 (.294) over the last four. The 3x All-Star is coming off his fourth straight 30-homer campaign and looks to be heating up as the team heads to Seattle to take on Logan Gilbert andthe Mariners on Monday. Alvarez is 8-for-28 (.286) off the righty in his career, including four doubles, a home run, and a 3:8 BB:K, making him an intriguing DFS play against the talented pitcher.

Los Angeles Angels second baseman Kyren Paris continued his hot start on Sunday, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run, two runs scored, and a stolen base in the 6-2 win over the Guardians. It was the second home run of the season for the formersecond-round draft pick, and he's now collected at least one hit in six of eight games so far, with eight runs scored and four steals to boot. The 23-year-old has been a pleasant surprise forfantasy and is a viable waiver addition given his early multi-category contributions. Plus, he's played outfield a couple of times already, so he could soon add OF eligibility on Yahoo! where he's currently only eligible at second base. The youngster is still available in over 80 percent of leagues for managers interested in his services.
From RotoBaller
San Francisco Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski went 1-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Mariners. It was the left-handed hitter's first home run of the year, and he's now hitting .333 (8-for-24) with a .484 OBP thanks in large part to seven walks in 31 of his plate appearances. Despite not breaking into the big leagues until he was 28, the 34-year-old has been a productive major leaguer, hitting no less than 15 home runs in each of his five full seasons (even collecting 10 in the shortened 2020 season). As a career .240 hitter, don't expect the .333 average to stick, but the veteran can be a useful source of power, RBI, and runs in deeper and NL-only leagues so long as he's hitting sixth like he was on Sunday.

Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh went 3-for-4 with a double, a solo home run, and a walk in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Giants. It was the slugger's second home run of the season and thefourth consecutive game with at least one hit. The switch-hitter now owns a .222/.349/.417 slash line with a .334 wOBA and 120 wRC+ through 10 games, even chipping in a couple of stolen bases. The 6-foot-2 backstop is coming off the best season of his career that saw him finish as a top-5 catcher for fantasy, and he looks well on his way to matching that production from last season, even outperforming in many statistical measures early on, including Contact%, Barrel%, xBA, and BB%. The former third-round draft pick will take on the Astros and RHP Hayden Wesneski on Monday, who Raleigh is 2-for-2 off of in his career, including a double.
From RotoBaller
Colorado Rockies top pitching prospect Chase Dollander, ranked No. 24 in the top 100 MLB Pipeline, earned his first MLB win on Sunday against the Athletics. In five innings of work, he allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out six, which was enough to earn him the win as the Rockies won the game 12-5. The long ball hurt him, as he allowed a two-run home run to Tyler Soderstrom in the first and a solo shot from Lawrence Butler in the fifth. It was a good start for the young right-hander, as the six strikeouts showed a lot of swing and miss promise. Up next for Dollander is a challenging task on the road against the Padres, but fantasy managers might want to keep an eye on him or stash him on their bench in case he lives up to the hype in 2025.
From RotoBaller
Boston Red Sox designated hitter Rafael Devers delivered a monster afternoon for the Red Sox on Sunday during their doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals. In game one of the afternoon, he ripped his first home run of the year in the fifth inning of right-hander Andre Pallante to give the Red Sox a one-run lead, and drew a game-tying walk in the ninth inning to send the game to extra innings to help the Red Sox win game one 5-4. In game one, Devers went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Since the 0-for-19 start to his season, Devers has boosted his slash line to .263/.404/.421 and has put to rest any concerns about his role being switched to designated hitter. He will look to stay hot as the Red Sox host the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday for a four-game series.
From RotoBaller
Boston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman had himself a day on Sunday during their doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals. In Game two, which was on Sunday Night Baseball, Bregman went 4-for-5 with six RBI, two runs scored, and a home run. The home run came in the third inning with two-on and two-out to put the Red Sox comfortably ahead by nine runs. The Red Sox won the game 18-7 and put on a clinic on how to hit the baseball, led by the new acquisition, Bregman, with his team-high six RBI on the evening. Bregman is liking his new environment, slashing .341/.383/.591 through the team's first 10 games. The Red Sox will look to keep it rolling as they start a four-game series with the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday.
From RotoBaller
The St. Louis Cardinals Closer, Ryan Helsley, had a blown save on Sunday in game one of their doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox. Helsley entered the ninth inning with a two-run lead and allowed two runs on one hit while walking four batters and striking out two. The Cardinals would eventually fall to the Red Sox 5-4 in the tenth inning. The four walks were unlike him, as he had an 8.6 percent walk rate in 2024, and these were the first free passes he has allowed in his four innings of work thus far in 2025. Look for Helsley and the Cardinals to get back on track as they start a series on Monday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
From RotoBaller
Kansas City Royals first base prospect Jac Caglianone continued to swing a hot bat as he went 3-for-5 with a double during Sunday's contest. Caglianone scored twice and brought in three runs as well. The 22-year-old was assigned to Double-A Northwest Arkansas after spring training and has looked quite comfortable through his first taste. Caglianone has tallied five total hits in three games with one home run and a double. He has tallied seven RBI, scored four runs, and held a 2:4 BB:K. The Royals drafted Caglianone with the sixth overall pick in last year's MLB Draft out of Florida. He is currently considered the No. 22-best in the sport and the top prospect in the Kansas City system on MLB Pipeline. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his development as he could push for an early Triple-A debut.

According to Shi Davidi of the Sportsnet baseball columnist, Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Toronto Blue Jays agreed on a 14-year, $500 million contract extension. This deal is the third-largest in MLB history and the second richest in present-day value behind only Juan Soto's contract. After a few free-agent misses during the offseason, the Blue Jays locked in their top player for what will likely be the remainder of his professional career. Throughout his seven-year MLB career with the Blue Jays, he has held a .287/.362/.498 slash line with 160 home runs, 478 runs, 511 RBI, and 20 stolen bases. This deal, undoubtedly, is the largest contract in Blue Jays history, and the fans, the organization, and Guerrero Jr. should all be excited about the extension.
From RotoBaller
Tampa Bay Rays shortstop prospect Chandler Simpson has posted a .297/.325/.351 line across his first eight career games at Triple-A. During this productive start, Simpson has done most of his damage on the basepaths, swiping five bags. In the batter's box, he has held a 2:3 BB:K and hit one triple. Last season, Simpson split time between High-A and Double-A and posted a cumulative .355/.410/.397 slash line with 104 stolen bases. At High-A, Simpson swiped 31 bags in 32 contests with a .364 AVG. Then, with Double-A Montgomery, the Georgia Tech product stole 73 bases in just 78 games. He posted a strong .351/.401/.407 slash line with 13 doubles. While Simpson does not carry high power upside, he possesses elite speed. He is a name to closely monitor as he should be in the mix to make his MLB debut later this season.
From RotoBaller
Cleveland Guardians second base prospect Travis Bazzana has gone 7-for-13 with a double and a home run with a 2:4 BB:K across his first three games at the Double-A level. Bazzana tallied three RBI, scored five runs, and swiped two bags. This is an impressive start for the reigning No. 1 overall pick. The Guardians selected Bazzana with the first pick in the 2024 MLB Draft out of Oregon State. The 22-year-old posted a .407/.568/.911 line with 28 home runs, 66 RBI, and a 76:23 BB:K ratio in his final collegiate season. During this campaign, he saw his power production improve greatly as he hit just 11 home runs during his previous collegiate campaign. After being drafted last summer, Bazzana received a brief 27-game taste of High-A, where he posted a .238/.369/.396 line. He should continue to be viewed as a high-end second base prospect in dynasty formats and could be worth targeting in redraft leagues as a stash option if he continues to produce at Double-A.

Pittsburgh's SP Andrew Heaney recorded 10 strikeouts in 7 innings in a 5-4 win over the Yankees on Sunday, Apr. 6.
Brewers' CF Jackson Chourio had five RBIs going 2-for-3 with two home runs in a 8-2 win over the Reds on Sunday, Apr. 6.
Dodgers' CF Teoscar Hernandez had five RBIs going 3-for-3 with two home runs in a 8-7 loss to Philadelphia on Sunday, Apr. 6.
Los Angeles Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Guardians. This was his fourth straight game with a homer, and he is now slashing .345/.367/.862 with five homers in seven games this year. He put his power on full display during his rookie season in 2024, hitting 20 long balls in 136 games. That type of power potential is rare for catchers, and now it looks like the former top prospect is taking another step forward. He is a must-start fantasy catcher in all formats going forward.
From RotoBaller
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernandez did his best to carry the offense in Sunday's 8-7 loss to the Phillies, hitting two home runs and a double. He scored twice and drove in five RBI. He's now up to four homers, 13 RBI, seven runs, and two steals on the season through 45 plate appearances. He is a force in the middle of that Dodgers lineup, and he's picking up right where he left off in 2024 when he slashed .272/.339/.501 with 33 home runs. One of the game's premier sluggers with sneaky speed, Hernandez looks primed to deliver another top-20 outfield performance for fantasy.
From RotoBaller
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio had a huge day at the plate in an 8-2 win over the Reds, hitting two homers and driving in five runs. The former top prospect started the season very cold but is now starting to turn things around. He is slashing .295/.289/.591 with three home runs, nine RBI, and six runs. He is looking to build off of his excellent rookie season where he hit .275 with 21 homers and 22 steals in 148 games. The youngster has a mix of power and speed that is extremely rare and could be a first-round draft pick in fantasy by 2026.
