Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher Tanner Bibee looked good in his season debut, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out two over 5 shutout innings in a 6-2 win over the Royals. He was originally set to start on Opening Day before being scratched with an illness, but he looked fully recovered on Sunday. He is coming off of a solid 2024, where he posted a 3.47 ERA and 1.12 WHIP with 187 strikeouts in 173 innings. The right-hander will be looking to take another step forward this season and is tentatively scheduled to face the Angels in his next start.

Cleveland Guardians shortstop Daniel Schneemann homered and drew three walks against the Royals in a 6-2 win. He earned the start at second base, with Gabriel Arias shifting to third to cover for injured star Jose Ramirez. His wrist injury isn't expected to require a trip to the injured list, and the infield playing time situation is unclear once he returns. Schneemann's best-case scenario is being the strong side of a platoon at second, but it's also possible that he will serve as a utility bat off the bench. He isn't worth adding in fantasy yet, but he could be useful down the line if he carves out some platoon time.

Boston Red Sox outfielder Wilyer Abreu doubled and drew three walks in Sunday's 2-3 loss to the Rangers. This is another good game to add to the youngster's resume, who already started the season with a two-homer performance on Opening Day. He showed some promise in 2024 by slashing .253/.322/.459 with 15 homers and eight steals in 132 games and seems to be taking a step forward in 2025. This didn't come out of nowhere, as the 50.5% hard-hit rate he posted last season ranked in the 94th percentile. He's worth streaming off of the waiver wire as a hot-hand play, with the potential to stick on your team all year if he doesn't slow down.

New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge continued his torrid stretch at the plate, hitting a two-run home run and drawing three walks in a 12-3 win over the Brewers. This is right on the heels of a three-homer performance on Saturday, and he's now slashing .545/.643/1.818 through three games. He was already known to be one of the best hitters in baseball, but he is still managing to blow everyone's expectations out of the water. He is battling with a select few other players to be the first overall pick in 2026 fantasy drafts.

New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm had a huge day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Sunday's 12-3 victory over the Brewers. This brings his home run total to three for the season, and he seems to be picking up right where he left off from 2024. He tallied 11 homers and 18 steals in 46 games after joining New York last season and is a legitimate 40-40 threat if he can stay healthy all year. He'll need a couple more games played before gaining second base eligibility for fantasy, but he has a good chance to dethrone Ketel Marte for the top spot at the position once he does.

Kansas City Royals second baseman Jonathan India (head) was struck in the head by a pitch in the ninth inning of Sunday's game against the Guardians. The initial belief is that the injury is non-concussive, but he will be evaluated further in the coming days, reports Anne Rogers of MLB.com. Thankfully, it appears that India has avoided a serious injury. He's done his job so far as the Royals' leadoff hitter through the first three games, posting a .429 OBP. He figures to be a useful middle infield option for fantasy once he returns to the field.

Athletics first baseman Tyler Soderstrom continued to show off his power during Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Soderstrom opened up the scoring with a solo home run off right-hander Bryan Woo in the fourth inning. Sadly, the A's offense couldn't do anything else as they ended up dropping this game 2-1 to Seattle. Soderstrom finished 2-for-3 with a single and a walk as well. The 23-year-old is hitting .467 with three homers and four RBI through the first four games of the season. Soderstrom could be worth a look in most fantasy formats while he's hot at the plate.

Texas Rangers relief pitcher Luke Jackson was called upon to protect a one-score lead against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. It wasn't easy as Jackson allowed a double and a walk, but was able to work out of the jam. He struck out Alex Bregman to end the game and earned his second save of the season. It was unclear who would be the closer heading into the season, but it appears Jackson is the favorite right now. He has worked in three of the first four games of the season. That being said, it wouldn't be shocking to see Jackson unavailable on Monday. If that happens, Chris Martin or Marc Church could be asked to take the mound in his absence.

Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob deGrom made his season debut against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said ahead of time that deGrom would be limited to around 75 pitches in this game. Despite that, deGrom gave fantasy managers a strong outing on Sunday. He tossed five scoreless innings, allowing two hits, and striking out six batters in the win over Boston. This was a great start to the season for deGrom, but the key is keeping him healthy. That being said, fantasy managers shouldn't be shocked if the team continues to ease deGrom into things early in the season.

Washington Nationals starting pitcher Mitchell Parker looked impressive on the mound during Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Parker went 6 1/3 scoreless innings while allowing seven hits and striking out five batters in the win. The 25-year-old was excellent on the mound at home last year, but Parker got crushed whenever he was on the road. The hope is that Parker can take a step forward this season. His next start is against the Arizona Diamondbacks at home next weekend. Parker could be worth a look as a streaming option given he posted a 2.65 ERA at home in 2024.

Washington Nationals first baseman Nathaniel Lowe is off to an impressive start to the season. On Sunday, Lowe went 3-for-4 including a two-run home run in the victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. Lowe helped give the Nats a five-run lead with his sixth inning blast off right-hander Aaron Nola. After this game, Lowe is 6-for-13 with two homers and five RBI in three games. Lowe isn't a must-have fantasy option, but could be worth a look in 12-team formats while he's hot at the plate. The expectation is he'll play everyday and bat in the middle of the Nats order.

Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto (foot) is expected to return to the starting lineup on Monday, according to manager Rob Thompson. Realmuto was forced to exit early during Saturday's game due to a left foot contusion. As a result, Realmuto missed Sunday's game, but it doesn't sound like he'll miss more time than that. Rafael Marchan started behind the plate on Sunday and went 1-for-4 at the plate in the loss. Fantasy managers should be able to get Realmuto back into their lineups on Monday.

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner (back) is not expected to return to the starting lineup until Wednesday, according to manager Rob Thompson. Turner missed his second straight game on Sunday due to back spasms. The organization plans to rest him again on Monday before the team has an off day on Tuesday. That would give Turner four days of rest before likely getting back into the lineup on Wednesday. The expectation is that Edmundo Sosa will continue start at shortstop until Turner is back. Sosa could have some short term fantasy value, but might not be worth adding with Turner possibly returning on Wednesday.

San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado (calf) is back in the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Machado made an early exit on Saturday due to calf tightness, but he appears to be ready now. He'll cover third base and bat third against right-hander AJ Smith-Shawver. Machado started off the season with two hits, but has been hitless since then. Fantasy managers shouldn't be concerned about Machado considering he hit nearly 30 homers and knocked in over 100 runs last season. Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Taj Bradley looked solid on the mound during Sunday's game against the Colorado Rockies. The 24-year-old struck out seven batters while allowing two earned runs on seven hits across six innings of work. The biggest issue for Bradley has been his control and he seemed to hitting his spots on Sunday. The Rockies lineup isn't exactly stacked with talent, so we'll see how Bradley does during his next start against the Texas Rangers. Bradley isn't an elite fantasy option, but he's worth rostering in most 12-team standard formats right now.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos is off to a nice start to begin the 2025 season. On Sunday, Ramos went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in the win over the Cincinnati Reds. The 25-year-old took right-hander Nick Martinez deep in the fifth inning to mark his second homer in three games. Ramos is coming off a solid season in 2024 and is looking to build on it this year. Chicago Cubs first baseman Michael Busch (rest) is out of the starting lineup ahead of Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Tomoyuki Sugano (hand) was removed early during Sunday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. The right-hander was pulled out prior to the bottom of the fifth inning due to cramping in his hand. Before exiting, Sugano allowed, four hits, two earned runs, and struck out one batter across four innings of work. This doesn't sound like a serious injury, so Sugano should be fine to make his next start against the Kansas City Royals. The 35-year-old rookie is probably only worth rostering in deep leagues and AL-only formats right now.
