Field Level Media

Bo Nix and the visiting Denver Broncos wiped out a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit and snapped Philadelphia's 10-game winning streak with a 21-17 victory on Sunday.

After punting on seven of their first eight drives, the Broncos (3-2) scored touchdowns on back-to-back possessions to seize the lead. J.K. Dobbins made it 17-10 with a 2-yard TD run with 13:11 remaining, and Nix put Denver ahead with an 11-yard TD pass to Evan Engram and a gutsy two-point conversion toss to Troy Franklin with 7:36 left.

The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles (4-1) also had a 12-game home winning streak snapped, dating back to Week 2 of last season. Nix passed for 242 yards and improved his career record to 5-1 against NFC opponents. Courtland Sutton caught eight passes for 99 yards and Dobbins ran for 79 yards.

Philadelphia's Jalen Hurts passed for a season-high 280 yards and threw touchdowns to Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert, but he was also sacked six times.

Titans 22, Cardinals 21

Joey Slye booted a 29-yard field goal on the final play to cap Tennessee's rally from a 21-6 fourth-quarter deficit in Glendale, Ariz., to claim its first win.

Cam Ward, who completed 21 of 39 passes for 265 yards, directed the Titans (1-4) on a 71-yard drive in the final two minutes to set up Slye's game-winner. Tony Pollard rushed for a 1-yard score to start the Titans' comeback, then Tyler Lockett recovered a loose ball for a score with 4:39 left on a wild play that began with Ward throwing an interception to the 5-yard line that the Cardinals fumbled, kicked and poked into the end zone.

Kyler Murray completed 23 of 31 for 220 yards for the Cardinals (2-3), who held a 21-3 lead early in the second quarter on rushing scores by Michael Carter, Murray and Bam Knight. Emari Demercado thought he broke away for a 72-yard touchdown run with 12:40 left that would have made it 27-6, but he deliberately let the ball drop inches before crossing the goal line.

Texans 44, Ravens 10

C.J. Stroud passed for 244 yards and four touchdowns, and Houston rode a dominating defensive performance to a road victory over injury-plagued Baltimore.

Jalen Pitre snagged two interceptions for the Texans (2-3) and Stroud was exceedingly efficient, completing 23 of 27 attempts while benefiting from solid pass protection. Xavier Hutchinson and rookie Jaylin Noel each recorded their first career scoring receptions, with Hutchinson adding a second touchdown catch just before halftime.

Derrick Henry finished with 33 yards on 15 carries for the Ravens (1-4) and scored their lone touchdown on a 1-yard run late in the third quarter. Cooper Rush passed for 179 yards and tossed three interceptions in place of two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, who was out with a hamstring injury.

Vikings 21, Browns 17

Carson Wentz threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Addison with 25 seconds left in regulation, lifting Minnesota to a win over Cleveland in London.

Wentz completed 25 of 34 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown for Minnesota (3-2), which bounced back from a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dublin last week. Justin Jefferson had seven catches for 123 yards, and Addison tallied five catches for 41 yards despite being benched at times for what was referred to as a coach's decision.

Quinshon Judkins had 23 carries for 110 yards for the Browns (1-4). Fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel made his first career start at quarterback and completed 19 of 33 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns.

Colts 40, Raiders 6

Jonathan Taylor rushed for three touchdowns and Daniel Jones threw for two more as Indianapolis blasted visiting Las Vegas.

Jones completed 20 of 29 passes for 212 yards for Indianapolis (4-1), which bounced back from a Week 4 loss at the Los Angeles Rams by scoring 40 consecutive points in the middle two quarters. This included three touchdowns -- two by Taylor -- in a span of less than 4 1/2 minutes in the third quarter.

Geno Smith hit 25 of 36 passes for 228 yards and two interceptions for the Raiders (1-4), who lost their fourth straight game. Rookie Ashton Jeanty rushed 14 times for 67 yards for Las Vegas, which was blown out despite the Colts' modest 317-296 edge in total yards.

Panthers 27, Dolphins 24

Bryce Young threw for two touchdowns and Rico Dowdle ran for 206 yards and a touchdown as Carolina rallied past Miami in Charlotte.

Young's 4-yard pass to rookie tight end Mitchell Evans with 1:59 to play gave the Panthers (2-3) the lead for good as they matched the largest comeback to win a game in franchise history by overcoming a 17-point hole. Dowdle, filling in for injured Chuba Hubbard, came up 4 yards shy of matching the single-game franchise rushing record.

Miami's Tua Tagovailoa completed 27 of 36 throws for 256 yards with three touchdowns and Jaylen Waddle gained 110 receiving yards on six catches and scored a touchdown, but the Dolphins (1-4) dropped to 0-3 in road games.

Cowboys 37, Jets 22

Dak Prescott passed for 237 yards and a season-high four touchdowns to help Dallas roll to a victory over woeful New York at East Rutherford, N.J.

Javonte Williams rushed for 135 yards and one touchdown and also had a scoring reception, and Jake Ferguson caught two scoring passes for the Cowboys (2-2-1). George Pickens caught a touchdown pass and Ryan Flournoy had six receptions for 114 yards for Dallas, which scored 30 straight points after falling behind 3-0 with a pair of touchdowns in the final minute of the first half.

Justin Fields was 32-of-46 passing for 283 yards and two touchdowns as the Jets became the first team in NFL history to start 0-5 without forcing a single turnover. Breece Hall rushed for 113 yards but lost a key fumble. Garrett Wilson and Andrew Beck caught touchdown passes from Justin Fields, who threw for 283 yards.

Saints 26, Giants 14

Spencer Rattler threw an 87-yard touchdown pass, Kool-Aid McKinstry recorded two interceptions, Jordan Howden returned a fumble 86 yards for a touchdown and host New Orleans beat New York to give rookie head coach Kellen Moore his first victory.

Rattler completed 20 of 30 passes for 225 yards, and the Saints (1-4) won for the first time in his 11 starts over his two-year career.

Rookie Jaxson Dart completed 26 of 40 for 202 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Giants (1-4), who turned the ball over five times and did not force any turnovers.

Buccaneers 38, Seahawks 35

Chase McLaughlin kicked three field goals, including a 39-yarder as time expired, to give Tampa Bay a victory against host Seattle.

Baker Mayfield completed 29 of 33 passes for 379 yards and two touchdowns for the Buccaneers (4-1). He hit Sterling Shepard with an 11-yard scoring strike with 1:08 remaining to tie the score at 35. Tampa Bay got the ball back on Lavonte David's interception on a ball that deflected off the helmet of teammate Logan Hall at the line of scrimmage to set up the winning kick.

Sam Darnold was 28-of-34 passing for 341 yards, four TDs and two interceptions for the Seahawks (3-2), who had a three-game winning streak snapped. AJ Barner caught two scoring passes for Seattle.

Lions 37, Bengals 24

David Montgomery tossed a touchdown pass and ran for another in his return to his hometown as Detroit hung on to beat host Cincinnati.

Montgomery, a running back, threw a 3-yard option pass to tight end Brock Wright in the second quarter and ran 8 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter. Detroit quarterback Jared Goff completed 19 of 23 passes on the day for 258 yards and three touchdowns.

The Lions (4-1) were rolling to their fourth straight blowout win before the Bengals (2-3) made it close with Jake Browning's three fourth-quarter touchdown passes. Two went to Ja'Marr Chase, who finished with six catches and 110 yards; he also made three tackles on the day, bringing down the defender after all three Browning interceptions.

Commanders 27, Chargers 10

Rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt rushed for 111 yards and two scores, Jayden Daniels passed for 231 yards and a touchdown in his return to the lineup and Washington rallied from a 10-point deficit against Los Angeles in Inglewood, Calif.

Daniels, who missed the previous two games with a left knee injury, completed 15 of 26 passes and ran for 39 yards. Deebo Samuel had eight catches for 96 yards and a touchdown for Washington (3-2), which scored the final 27 points of the game.

Justin Herbert completed 22 of 29 passes for 166 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the Chargers (3-2), who have lost two straight. Keenan Allen caught five passes, giving him 1,003 career receptions in 159 games. He became the fastest player in NFL history to reach the 1,000-catch mark, breaking the record owned by Marvin Harrison Sr.

Five Fantasy Takeaways: Week 5

Player Notes
Matt Milano Oct 6 11:50pm ET
Matt Milano

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said that linebacker Matt Milano (pectoral) is week-to-week after aggravating his pectoral injury in the Sunday night loss to the New England Patriots in Week 5, according to Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com. It's the same injury that kept the 31-year-old veteran from playing in Weeks 3 and 4, so it seems likely that he will not be able to suit up in Week 6 on Monday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons. Milano made an immediate impact in his return against the Pats, recording six tackles (three solo) on 32 defensive snaps before getting injured in the first half. Fantasy managers in IDP formats need to take notice. If Milano misses more time, which seems likely, expect to see Shaq Thompson in a bigger role for Buffalo in the middle of their defense.

Terrion Arnold Oct 6 11:40pm ET
Terrion Arnold

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell said that cornerback Terrion Arnold (shoulder) is going to be out "for a long time," according to Ben Raven of MLive. Arnold might not miss the rest of the season, but it sounds like he probably won't be back until the second half. The 22-year-old defensive back initially injured his shoulder in the Week 4 win over the Browns before aggravating the injury in Sunday's Week 5 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Suddenly, Detroit's secondary is looking pretty thin with D.J. Reed (hamstring) on Injured Reserve and Khalil Dorsey (concussion) expected to miss multiple weeks. With all the injuries, Rock Ya-Sin and Tre Flowers will be asked to step up in the secondary. With Detroit's high-octane offense and now with a thin secondary, Detroit's defense could be a nice matchup for opposing passing attacks, granted they can slow down star pass-rusher Aidan Hutchinson.

Spencer Shrader Oct 6 11:30pm ET
Spencer Shrader

Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said that kicker Spencer Shrader (knee) tore his ACL and MCL in his right knee in the Week 5 win over the Las Vegas Raiders and will miss the rest of the season, according to Stephen Holder of ESPN.com. Shrader was injured when a defender crashed into his knee following a kick on Sunday. It's a tough break for the 26-year-old and the 4-1 Colts, as Shrader had missed just one of his 14 field-goal tries while making all 14 of his extra-point attempts in five games before his season-ending injury. With no current kicker other than Shrader on the active roster or practice squad, the Colts will be working out free-agent kickers this week as they head into a Week 6 meeting with the visiting Arizona Cardinals. Fantasy managers who had been using Shrader at the position will have to hit the waiver wire for a replacement.

J.J. McCarthy Oct 6 11:30pm ET
J.J. McCarthy

Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said on Monday that quarterback J.J. McCarthy (ankle) is expected to resume practicing next week as they head into a Week 7 tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Emily Leiker of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. McCarthy suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and has not played since. The 22-year-old will have an extra week to recover, though, with the Vikings on bye in Week 6 following two straight weeks of international games in Ireland and England. The Vikings still believe in McCarthy as their QB of the future, but McCarthy has been non-committal on whether McCarthy will jump right back in as the starter when he's past his ankle injury after struggling in his first two NFL regular-season games. Veteran Carson Wentz could be in line for a fourth straight start in Week 7 against his former team, the Eagles.

Kyler Murray Oct 6 11:10pm ET
Kyler Murray

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said that quarterback Kyler Murray (foot) will be monitored this week after briefly leaving the Week 5 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday to have his foot evaluated in the locker room, according to Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com. The fact that Murray returned and finished out Sunday's game should give fantasy managers hope that he'll be able to play in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts. However, Gannon is leaving things up in the air early in the week, so we'll have to pay close attention to the 28-year-old signal-caller's practice status later in the week. Murray had another middling fantasy outing against the Titans, throwing for 220 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions. He added a rushing touchdown but also lost a fumble. If Murray is unable to play in Week 6, veteran Jacoby Brissett would make the start against the one-loss Colts.

From RotoBaller

Jaylen Warren Oct 6 11:10pm ET
Jaylen Warren

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren (knee) was back in individual drills during Monday's practice after he missed the Week 4 win in Dublin, Ireland, over the Minnesota Vikings, according to Brian Batko. Warren was a surprise inactive in Week 4, leading the way for backup Kenneth Gainwell to be featured heavily in Pittsburgh's offense as both a rusher and receiver. The Steelers had a well-timed bye in Week 5, giving the 26-year-old Warren a good chance to make it back in Week 6 against the division-rival Cleveland Browns after missing only one game. We'll have a better idea of Warren's Week 6 status once the Steelers start officially practicing on Wednesday. Warren has been a must-start in fantasy through three games, rushing for 132 yards on 43 carries while also catching 11 passes for 142 yards and a score. However, Warren will be a fade candidate in DFS against a tough Browns defense this weekend if he returns.

Antonio Gibson Oct 6 11:00pm ET
Antonio Gibson

New England Patriots running back Antonio Gibson (knee), who was quickly ruled out in the Sunday night win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 5, suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport after Gibson had an MRI exam on Monday. It's a hit to New England's backfield the rest of the way. The 27-year-old will finish the 2025 campaign with 25 rushing attempts for 106 yards and one touchdown. He added two catches for six yards on three targets through the air. Gibson wasn't really a roster candidate in 12-team fantasy leagues, but he can now safely be dropped in deeper single-year formats. Terrell Jennings will likely be elevated from the practice squad to serve as the RB3 behind Rhamondre Stevenson and rookie TreVeyon Henderson. Gibson's injury gives Henderson a clearer path to an elevated backfield workload.

From RotoBaller

Kimani Vidal Oct 6 10:50pm ET
Kimani Vidal

Los Angeles Chargers running backs Kimani Vidal and Hassan Haskins are now in line for the bulk of the backfield load with rookie Omarion Hampton (ankle) going on Injured Reserve on Monday, according to Eric Smith of Chargers.com. Najee Harris (Achilles) is also out for the season. Vidal had 18 rushing yards on four carries in the Week 5 loss to the Washington Commanders, with Haskins carrying the ball five times for 13 yards. The Chargers will most likely call up Amar Johnson to serve as the RB3 for at least the next four games with Hampton sidelined. Both Vidal and Haskins played 14 offensive snaps on Sunday versus Washington, but it's unclear exactly how the workload will be divvied up between Vidal and Haskins moving forward. Still, both RBs are worth attention on the waiver wire this week, with an increase in volume coming for the next four games.

From RotoBaller

Ricky Pearsall Oct 6 10:50pm ET
Ricky Pearsall

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall (knee) wasn't spotted at Monday's practice, according to Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group. Although the 49ers didn't hold an official practice on Monday, it's not a great sign that Pearsall isn't on the field after he was inactive for last Thursday night's win over the Los Angeles Rams due to a minor PCL injury that he suffered in Week 4. Both Pearsall and Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) did not play last Thursday, allowing Kendrick Bourne to go off for 10 catches and over 100 yards. Jennings was on the field on Monday, though, signaling that Jennings might be closer than Pearsall in terms of being available in Week 6 to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If the 25-year-old Pearsall doesn't return to the team's first practice on Wednesday, he'll be on track to miss a second straight game.

From RotoBaller

Hassan Haskins Oct 6 10:40pm ET
Hassan Haskins

The bulk of the Los Angeles Chargers' backfield will now likely fall to running backs Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal, writes Eric Smith of Chargers.com. The Chargers placed rookie RB Omarion Hampton (ankle) on Injured Reserve on Monday after they already lost veteran Najee Harris (Achilles) for the season. Haskins had five carries for 13 yards in the Week 5 loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday, while Vidal had 18 rushing yards on four rushing attempts. Haskins and Vidal logged 14 offensive snaps apiece on Sunday, but it's unclear exactly how the division of labor will be distributed between the two over the next four games with Hampton out. It could be a split down the middle of backfield touches, but either way, both Haskins and Vidal will be prime waiver-wire targets for fantasy managers who need help at the position. Amar Johnson should be brought up from the practice squad to serve as the RB3.

From RotoBaller

Omarion Hampton Oct 6 10:30pm ET
Omarion Hampton

Los Angeles Chargers rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) was placed on Injured Reserve on Monday after suffering an ankle injury in the Week 5 loss to the Washington Commanders. However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Hampton has a "good chance" to miss the minimum of four games. If Hampton only needs four games to rest up, he could return on Nov. 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10. Najee Harris (Achilles) is already out for the entire season after tearing his Achilles, so now the Chargers are down to Hassan Haskins and Kimani Vidal in the backfield as they head into a Week 6 matchup against the Miami Dolphins on the road this Sunday. It's a tough break for the Chargers and for Hampton's fantasy managers, but he needs to remain stashed and should return to his RB1 role when he's activated from IR. In the meantime, Haskins and Vidal are likely to form a timeshare, with the Bolts also probably relying on quarterback Justin Herbert's arm and legs more.

From RotoBaller

Carson Wentz Oct 6 10:10pm ET
Carson Wentz

Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said quarterback Carson Wentz (shoulder) is undergoing further evaluation on the shoulder injury he suffered during the team's Week 5 win over the Cleveland Browns. Wentz was able to finish the game, but it sounds like he "came in pretty sore," per Alec Lewis of The Athletic. The Vikings have a bye in Week 6, so Wentz will have some time to heal before the team's next game. Minnesota quarterback J.J. McCarthy (ankle) could also be back from the ankle injury that has sidelined him for the last three games by that time as well. It's not clear who the Vikings will turn to under center if both quarterbacks are available. If neither Wentz nor McCarthy is healthy in Week 7, rookie quarterback Max Brosmer could be the next man up in Minnesota.

From RotoBaller

Isaac TeSlaa Oct 6 10:10pm ET
Isaac TeSlaa

Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa had one target in Week 5 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he made it count by turning it into a 12-yard touchdown reception. TeSlaa has made the most of his low-usage role so far this season, as he has three catches for 54 yards and two touchdowns on five targets through the first five games of his career. Perhaps most importantly for his fantasy outlook, Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond (neck) left early in Week 5 with a neck injury and did not return. TeSlaa has been firmly behind Raymond in snap share so far this season, so an injury to Raymond could open the door for TeSlaa to take over as Detroit's WR3 alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams. It's too soon to count on TeSlaa for fantasy production, even if Raymond does miss time. Still, TeSlaa is a player to monitor in deep leagues, as he's flashed upside and could now be in line for an increased role.

From RotoBaller

Brenton Strange Oct 6 10:00pm ET
Brenton Strange

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange (hip) is questionable to return to his team's Week 5 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a hip injury. Strange recorded one catch for 22 yards on one target before getting injured. If he is unable to return, Jaguars tight ends Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long would likely handle the majority of the snaps the rest of the way in Week 5.

From RotoBaller

Keon Coleman Oct 6 9:50pm ET
Keon Coleman

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott said wide receiver Keon Coleman did not play in the team's first offensive series against the New England Patriots in Week 5 for disciplinary reasons. Per The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia, McDermott also said that the disciplinary action stemmed from an incident in practice, and that the Bills "expect more" from the second-year wideout. Coleman recorded four catches for 23 yards and a touchdown on seven targets in Week 5. For the season, he's hauled in 21 catches for 226 yards and two scores on 29 targets. It doesn't seem as though this incident will impact Coleman's playing time going forward, but it's still not a good sign for the 22-year-old. He profiles as a fantasy WR3/flex option heading into a Week 6 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.

From RotoBaller

Darius Slayton Oct 6 9:40pm ET
Darius Slayton

New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant in practice on Monday's injury report. Slayton left late in New York's Week 5 loss to the New Orleans Saints with a hamstring injury and did not return. The Giants have a short week in Week 6 as they prepare to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night, so it could be tough for Slayton to recover in time to play. The 28-year-old recorded three catches for 31 yards on six targets before getting hurt in New York's first full game without star wideout Malik Nabers (knee). If Slayton is sidelined for Week 6, Giants wide receivers Wan'Dale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt would likely see an uptick in targets.

From RotoBaller

Treylon Burks Oct 6 9:40pm ET
Treylon Burks

Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks (collarbone) has been cleared for all football activities and is free to sign with any team, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Burks suffered a broken collarbone in training camp and was subsequently released by the Titans while on Injured Reserve. A former first-round pick by Tennessee in 2022, Burks recorded 53 catches for 699 yards and a touchdown in 27 games across three injury-filled seasons for the Titans. He's currently a long way from fantasy relevance, but Burks could be a name to monitor if he catches on with a new team.

From RotoBaller

Tyrone Tracy Jr. Oct 6 9:30pm ET
Tyrone Tracy Jr.

New York Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder) was listed as a limited practice participant on Monday's injury report. Tracy Jr. dislocated his shoulder in Week 3 and has missed each of the Giants' last two games, but he was reportedly making good progress ahead of Week 5. Tracy Jr. could be available on Thursday night, when the Giants take on the Philadelphia Eagles in the opening game of Week 6. Rookie running back Cam Skattebo has taken over as New York's lead running back in Tracy Jr.'s absence, recording 194 yards from scrimmage on 48 total touches over the last two weeks. Once Tracy Jr. returns, the two backs should be expected to split touches, but Skattebo may remain the team's lead rusher.

From RotoBaller

Antonio Gibson Oct 6 9:25pm ET
Antonio Gibson

Dynasty | Patriots running back Antonio Gibson will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Dynasty Analysis: It's a tough break for Gibson, who was quickly carving out a role in what was a terrific committee in reality and terrible one in fantasy as Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson are still in the mix. Gibson's injury is going to make him a really tough hold in dynasty leagues, despite him being productive when healthy. In essence, he's a bit of a roster clogger.

J.J. McCarthy Oct 6 9:25pm ET
J.J. McCarthy

Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (ankle) is expected to be at least a limited participant during practice next week, according to head coach Kevin O'Connell.
